You will have the opportunity to explore the effect of air pressure on liquids with the Water Bottle Fountain experiment, which can be made quickly with the materials at home and the result can be observed instantly.

WHAT YOU NEED:
-Empty water bottle
-Glass
-Straw
-Funnel
-Water(to fill the half of the water bottle)
-Food coloring(Optional but suggested for better observation)
HOW TO DO:
1- Pour water into the bottle over the level of the half,
2- Add some food coloring in it,
3- Put the straw in the bottle and the glass next to the bottle.
4- Put the tip of the straw into the glass(pointing down)
5- Blow into the bottle
You will see the water streamed out the straw
WHY IS THAT?:
There is colored water we poured in and also air in the water bottle. By blowing into the water we create air pressure which is more than the air pressure already in the bottle. The air we blow with more pressure, pushed down on the water and forced it up the straw. This is an effect of pressure on liquids.
