- The Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari are two examples of how the 7-seater SUV formula has almost been perfected. While there are larger family SUVs that cost twice as much, these two manage to deliver on the counts of space, practicality, performance and features so well that you really start to wonder if you need anything more.
Of the two, it’s the Tata Safari that’s been around for longer and has already proven to be a great family car and road trip machine, delivering almost everything you’d want from an SUV. However, the XUV700 has managed an explosive arrival, offering a tech, design and performance package that’s nothing short of jaw-dropping.
So which one makes the most sense for its asking price? Well, there is a clear winner but the answer isn’t all that obvious.

With a waiting period of 1.5 years, well, Safari makes way more sense. Besides, what really matters in a car to me is the driving experience and comfort. Except for a music system, which is present in almost all cars, all other features don't really mean much to me.

xuv700 is made to compete with creta and seltos in its lower 5 seater variant and with safari and other 7 seaters in its higher variants. thats why it cant match the looks of a real 7 seater SUV.

Somewhere I felt presenters were favouring XUV not mentioning the downsides more often for example rear bench seat are not adjustable ..once it was repeated that's it ..when u are buying. 24 lakhs vehicle usually 3 row seating to matters ..most manufacturers are not focusing on 3 rd row seating properly if u make a 7 seater make it a proper seven seater where all 7 people enjoy the ride ..it's should not be an punishment to last 2 guys

Totally agree!!! They said 3rd row of XUV is more spacious which was disastrous...Ride quality is much much better in Safari then XUV... Feature wise yes XUV becomes superior but.....This was absolutely biased.....

We not have to forget about the safari OMEGA ARC platform, it is one of the most important points that you guys have to add on to its safety feature, OMEGA ARC platform based vehicle doesn't need any global NCAP rating, it is much more safer than xuv 700.
Hehe I have seen one Safari which got hit by a Tata Tiago at 100+ speed, the driver is at hospital for atleast 3 weeks, also I saw an Xuv 700 got crashed by a truck and it fell from road 50 feet into a valley, full of trees, then also 5 passenger of the xuv didn't even have a scratch and the engine was also running . What are you talking about safety bro I don't know 😂😂

XUV 700 has Adas but you can't completely rely on it as per Indian road conditions.

Both of guys if you can read it correctly I didn't give any verdict which one is better, I admire Safari road presence n safety but it doesn't mean XUV is not good or lagging behind n regarding Adas even if Tata or any other company provides it, I can say it's not that much useful as per Indian road conditions.

Flush fiitng handles are gimick. And those Christmas light gimic features are better for cellphone, than making a car instead of 4 wheel iphone.. if talking on cell phone is ban, how they can allow n call it safe to operate touch screen while u drive. Buttons are needed to comeback. Good video guys. Drivability, Space, Safety and driving pleasure is what needed. Overall both are good n made in India

If the Smart Door handles in 7OO are durable, yes they are most welcomed. But I'd recommend Mahindra or any other brand who'll be introducing this feature in this affordable segment to make Electrically Pop Out handles Standard across all the variants (whether its base or top). Ik it'd increase the costs but then too, you wouldnt like too frequently push and open the door.
Electrically pop out handles Se sahi hai bhai push And open. Electrically m unlock se 4 gate ke pop out honge. And Push and open me Jo gate kholna hai vahi. Aur Single Push hee chaiye rheta hai. Koi badi dikkat ni aati bhai

absolutely no doubt, XUV700 is a superior product in terms of city handling, features, and (to some extent) looks. All of this, however, gets defeated by 2 things: 1-waiting period, 2-niggles. I booked an XUV in May 2022, and was accorded a delivery date in March..........2024!!!.

I am owner of Safari XZ+ first addission in West Bengal is very good car it has Last funsan that I have not seen in ather car Back suspension 🚟not good old safari is good i have Zest 7 year old it's suspension is good it was first addission in West Bengal.

Took 5 test drives of XUV and approx 7 of Safari, solo, with wife and kids and with parents. Everysingle time we all loved ride quality, build quality, suspension, power of Safari. XUV is good product but still half baked, lot of niggles, cracking sound, more of MPV. I personally like Hector plus better than XUV. I never found paying extra money and waiting extra time worth for XUV. Safari is miles ahead in terms of overall product, much mature and better among both.
