- Dicke Titten! Who doesn't like them?! But is there more to this Rammstein song? I say there is... Epic metal, heavy sounds and solid humor. All one can ask from any Rammstein work of art!

They worked with "Saxonian State Orchestra", an orchestra that usually does classical music and such.
Imagine their director getting a call like "Hello, this Rammstein, we'd like to work with you."
Dude must've thought it was a prank-call.
Love young Till doing the Till Hammer and young Flake pushing him. Also Till stepping on the Edelweiss is a reference to Rosenrot
Your understanding of the German language still is very damn good! Not "just" from understanding the words, but what's underneath. Good Job, I always enjoy your reactions a lot, be it Rammstein or Sabaton! I agree with many guys here, tha main part seems to be: Don't trust any stereotype you see or hear, and often we're blind to see, we already have what we're looking for so direly. Idk if you already reacted to these, but "Ausländer" is full of deeper messages and fun, too, and imo one of the most underrated songs is "Rosenrot"- the meaning is a bit difficult, but the vid SO damn good.. keep up the great work, greetings from Germany and Skal!
There is an interview snipped somewhere - which of course I can't find right now - where Paul - with a very straight face- says something like: Our songs and videos always have a deeper meaning and important message...well maybe with this one we did not quite succeed. And starts laughing.
Nice reaction 😃👍 the meaning could also be that sometimes, we wish us things which are actually there, but we are to „blind“ to see them. And also that we often don‘t appreciate enough the good things in our life but always look for something „better“.
Love that! That is the beauty of this. Makes us think whilst we enjoy the scenery ;)
This is also my favorite interpretation of the meaning behind the obvious
Again great reaction. Yes, there`s of course a deeper meaning but it would take to long to explain it here. Just one thing. The little kids who burn the gingerbread man are Till`s grand sons and the gingerbread man symbolises Flake. So they burn him like grandpa did on stage. Nevertheless this is just a fun song of Rammstein.
Laughing so much from this video 😂😂 What a happy village, hard working women, laughter and party. All having fun 😉😂
I'd happily move there as well. Hard working families as far as i can tell ;)
One must appreciate the money they spend on what barely can be called a video clip anymore; it is so much more than that. It's not really German but more specific Bavarian which borders on Austrian.
Very Bavarian indeed. But also the stereotype what foreigners think of when they think of Germans. I think. And as far as I know... Bavaria (Bayern) is in the south of Germany ;)
@@VikingReacts Yes, but no German would consider Bavaria as Germany and vice versa.
@@KotoRyuda Nonsense. Of course Bavaria is a part of Germany. Says this German who is not Bavarian.
The video was actually shot in Austria.
@@imrehundertwasser7094 sure, but I suspect this location was chosen to fit the stereotype I meant ;)
Your German is fantastic! Dankeschön für die tolle Rammstein-Reaction!
As usual, loved your reaction and interesting thoughts on possible deeper meanings. :)
Also, being from Northern Germany, thank you for the side note basically saying "not all Germans live like that", and teaching people from non German speaking countries about how much this is only a stereotype with such little words. Also allow me to add (not for you, but for people who, probably unlike you, aren't aware of that): It's not "typical German" but what most of the world thinks is. It is actually typical Bavarian (which is a smaller part of Germany than it seems (and partly wants to be seen as, lol), or let's say generally typical for the Alps regions at most. (And like you said, even there most people aren't like that on a daily basis.)
Anyway, enjoyed your video a lot again! Glad you're keeping up with the good Rammstein content. ♥
Actually, the video was shot in Austria. So not even "typical Bavarian". Most of Bavaria does *not* look like this.
I LOVE the outro, brings back holiday memories
Usually Rammstein go into deep and meaningful, but sometimes they release a song called Dicke Titten.
Flake wrote in his book, we're probably not the classiest, but we're certainly the funniest 😂
Just about your comment on 1:21 minute: Well there is indeed a city called "Ramstein" (with one "M") in Germany, but not this stereotype one. But there is a connection between "Ramstein" and "Rammstein". There was an air show disaster in Ramstein and the band made a song about it - I guess it was their first provocation (in a long list). They got famous as the band with the Ramstein song, which finally became their name. I'm not sure where the second "M" is comming from. Once I've heard, it initially was a typo.
so love it when Rammstein give the middle finger to the squares, PC lot and as a old Irish Catholic boy turned atheist like to think that at the end, that woman is shouting at the priest..''Whats wrong Father, prefer a small boy instead?'' oops, going to hell for that one lol
Glad that you remember Elvis sing Wooden Heart in german, or at least first verse.
Another great thing about this song (as if we needed another great thing...) is that there is a full brass band version too.
it's good that some people still put a sense of humor in their videos instead of pretending to be great in front of the camera.
Who? Me? Attempt at humor :P
and why did you think I meant you?? you're okay.
@@boqndimitrov8693 to be honest... i'm not sure. that is why i asked if you meant me ;)
Gratulations, you know Elvis performance of the old song "Muß i denn zum Städtele hinaus" - I like that :-) Besides: the real city of Rammstein isn't in the alps and isn't as nice as this little village in de vid, but it has a huge US airbase.
Your German is very, very good! Respect!
Thank you very much! Having lived in Germany helps ;)
Rammstein got an good entertainment even in the credits. At 6:27 this is a typical way to drink for friendship. Cross your arms and drink the beer. By the way some German girls can lift up 10-12 Maß (1 litre each beer glas) it’s between 30/35kg. Typically at Oktoberfest.
Very German, but the Video was taken in Ellmau, Austria 😊
I should move there. 😂
me too... please, please 🙏😂
Yeah, it was a bit too mountainous I suppose…
When I was a child, it was in the 1960th, early 70th, all children were running around wearing a "Lederhose"...
This was a fun review and reaction. Enjoyed the interpretation. Thank you sir. Still.....fun😂
He's so blinded by what he desires he doesn't realise everything he wants is all around him.
Another great band suggestion: *Feuerschwanz*. Epic medieval metal from Germany. With a name like Viking Reacts I'm sure you'll like them. Especially songs like 'Untot im Drachenboot' and their latest 'Bastard from Asgard' (featuring Fabienne Erni from Eluveite).
🇳🇱 Gaat lekker. 👍 Groeten uit het noordwesten van het land.
Exactly my thought, the Viking and Feuerschwanz should be a good match!
@@VikingReacts ah cool. Danke für die Antwort. Weiter so. Freu mich schon auf die nächsten Videos
Yes, very German. But actually the location is Tyrolia/Austria.
I think there is another layer above the obvious critic of stereotypes: It´s that we (Rammstein) put icing on the cake (das i-Tüpfchen) in an age of over-correctness when you´re not even allowed to say what a woman is.
An adult human female (just so you known my thoughts) ;)
Well Ramstein with one R is well known for the biggest US Airbase outside of the US. And the largest american comunity outside of the US. And this Airbase is near the little town of Ramstein-Miesenbach. :-)
I CHOOSE to only see Boobs and .... clarinets !
😀😀😀
Much Love to you my Viking Brother!
💙💛💙🌻🌻🌻
Perfectly reasonable ;). And thank you for the ❤️ :)
Best party song eveer😅😅😅Just drink your beer and have fun. Prost!🎉
My old German teacher lived in Bavaria and there was a well known saying that "No self respecting Bavarian would ever own an Austrian tractor!!!"...
Great reaction 😂
Enjoyed your reaction! Was fun to watch together
I think a strong accent is one thing and not neccessarily bad. But what I love about people from the Netherlands is that they are so good in speaking English and German fluently. One of several reasons I really like your country.
Does anyone know if in the very last scene where Till stands next to a woman (his bride???) ... is that Richard who turns himself into a woman during the video?
if you like real metal with good sesne of humour, then give Feuerschwanz a try/ they have cover songs like "ding", "gimme gimme gimme" or "warriors of the wworld united" and alsso tehri own songs like "meister der Minne"; "bastard von Asgard "(featuring Fabienne Erni from Eluveitie) (one of my favourites) and the new one : "Berzerkermode". Enjoy all their videos are fun, pure fun !
I love how you're like "it will have a deeper meaning"... but does it? 😅
The choice to make him blind is telling. It wasn't necessary if the song was just about body parts. Maybe it's saying that if that's all you're about, then you're blind (?).
Makes sense though ;)
"Stereotypically German"
*Filmed in Austria*
(Side note: The real place in Germany, with the US Air Base, has 1 M. Ramstein.)
I was obviously talking about the way the setting was portrayed ;). And that was very Bavarian Germany. And about the place in Germany only having one M... that I didn't know...
Effing brilliant!!!! Ciao
He burning puppe
9:16 Burning a "Puppe" Rammstein Song 😉
No, you've misunderstood. This is not a music video at all. This is Till's retirement plan.😂
Seems like a good plan to me…
Anyone else think he ends up with the guy? Lolz
Who knows. They do say the other senses get stronger when you lose one. He might feel that something is off ;)
I think Richard is doing it for the girls so Till will stop feeling them up and go after him instead. Basically simping lol.
Don't see why Richard would go through that only to not get Till in the end, and RZK does make a great woman!
Funny that you mentioned that there is a place in Germany called Ramstein. It is a US airbase where one of the worst accidents in German aviation history occurred during an air show in 1988. here is a short video on the subject. czcams.com/video/8RkTigWxL-c/video.html
Hey, at least Till got to play with big udders in the end - Winning! ^^
Maybe the deeper meaning here is that everyone thinks that men want big boobs and that's all we care about..when Till is basically saying that the only man who would care about that would have to be blind with no standards? Since I know you are trying to find deeper meaning in a song and video that damn near is NC17.
It's more like "Huge Boobs" or "Big Boobs", because the german word for 'fat' is 'fett'. But great reaction :)
I know. But this translates so much funnier :P
In Dutch it's Dikke Tieten where "dik" would actually be use to call someone fat. Is it not the same in German? If not, curious!
@@solarwinds9363 "Dick" basically means the same in German. The literal English translation of "dick" would be "thick", but that can have a slightly different meaning in English. So "fat" is a valid translation of "dick" as far as people and certain body parts are concerned. "Huge" would be "riesig" (Riesige Titten), while "big" would be "groß" (Große Titten).
Eh...I think that's a sarcastic tribute to the ' Die toten Hosen '- a German band- and their song 'Männer sind Schweine '. Try it out.
if the Americans understood the video and the song, the calls for cancellation would be big
Oh, that is moving to this side of the pond as well…
Rammstein can not be cancelled, I think. Their fanbase would not let it happen. Plus Rammstein does what they want and have been for a long time and since day one they have been very controversial and targeted by media, but if anything this has helped them a lot, I think.
Some of us get it and love them for it, just like with Amerika and Mein Land. They are equal opportunity offenders though, and take no prisoners even with their own haha.
Rammstein is beyond cancelling, and they fight back if there are attempts. Several years back (2009), one of their albums, because of one song and some photos in the booklet, was put on the "index" (list of media dangerous for children and young people below the age of 18) by some federal German authority. Yes, that is a thing here, though it's become much less important with the advent of the internet. Anyway, that decision meant the album couldn't be sold openly, and the band lost money. So they took the German state to court over this and succeeded in getting the album removed from that index two years later. Then they proceeded to sue the state for the money they lost and were able to settle, so they must have received some compensation.
Long the song, the video is great but that song hits hard.
The stuff at the beginning is not very german, sorry. It's bavarian. And the city is Ramstein, where there's an american airbase. Rammstein namend themselves after a real horrific tragedy in an air show at Ramstein, when a fighter plane crashed into masses of viewers.
Viking - Hvad?
I do have some Swedish blood … just saying ;)

-german +bavarian :D
As far as I know Bavaria is in Germany ;). It’s important as in this case the Bavarian image fits the German stereotype. At least… that is my interpretation.
no, its Austrian!
It may be in filmed in Austria but the setting is very Bavarian. As are the lederhosen. Many historians credit the origins to Bavaria/Bayern in Germany. Don't get your panties in a twist... Or should I say "Max...relax!"

wasn´t ment as an offence. Historically, the region has been a unit for a long time, I just wanted to remember my homeland ;-)
Is that deceptive or do you speak fluent German?
@@michaels.4847 ah, my apologies ;). And somewhat. I was born there and lived in Germany for 13 years. It’s getting rusty now though ;)
Is the person dressing up as a woman the priest? And that's why the women are taunting him at the end?
Its Rammstein so what to expekt
Why a bann? Nothing wrong with it!
Mabye the american hypocrits think it needs that
We have to be incredibly careful with what we post lately. I'm not really worried to be honest but nowadays... you never know
Can you speak German? 👍✌️
Bavaria ist not germany !!! only a little province !!!! tzzzzz
It's a part. The *biggest* part actually by area, the second biggest by population.
@@imrehundertwasser7094 But Bavaria proper is just half of the state of Bavaria that includes Franconian and Swabian parts in addition.
@@waltergro9102 I know. But I'm talking about the state here, which includes these parts.
