    Internal combustion engine cars are a dead technology, but a good car is interesting no matter how far it goes. The car I'm driving now is just such a car. I'm sure it has performance that cannot be expressed in words or numbers.
    I was thinking of the new Prius for my next car, and went out to test drive it several times as soon as it was announced. It's true that the freshness of motorized driving is still there, and the suspension, which was not something to be praised in the past, is now up to par with the new model.
    I had high hopes for the Prius, but my personal conclusion after the test drive was, "Let's think about another car. What can I say, it was not a car I wanted to get behind the wheel of to any extent.
    My criteria for choosing a car is simple: is it a car that makes me want to go out for a run at night? (laugh) If I analyze it calmly, I might be a typical sports model fanatic.
    Also, if the Prius sells so well, I'm not going to buy one. The presence of the first Prius was so big that it was like a Ferrari or something running around. However, even if I drive Prius now, I don't have such a sense of superiority. On the contrary, it has become so popular.
    Personally, what I'd like to see manufacturers do their best to make is a car like the GT-R. I'm not asking them to make a typical sports car, but I'd like to see them come out with a car that will motivate people to work hard and say, "I'm going to make a career out of myself until I can afford to buy a car like that. The conditions for this are that the price should be affordable if you work hard, and that the car should have a presence that sets it apart from other cars in the market. Even so, the fundamental problem is that not many people are motivated to work by cars.
