@8:18 damn! I wish we still had places where there are a bunch of flamingos just wandering around like that. Seems like a great place to go and work.

What are you talking about? You can still see people swimming along the Courtney Campbell, and a Cypress Point . Yes, I’m sure it’s certainly not as clean as back then, but it’s not like people don’t go swimming still.

3:50. Downtown Tampa for some reason never really took off. It has been stagnant for at least the 80s, 90s, 00s - til present day.

some of the blacks had it good to in tampa back in these days. Yes it was segragated. Look up dobyville tampa. It was a city where blacks went to school went to clubs owned they own bussniess. Its plenty of vids on it. Intergration actually some of hurted the black commuinties. They bussniess went down and lost people since they could go where ever they wanted.

Search up central avenue tampa fl 1960s. It was known as the harlem of the south. Florida actually had 2 harlem of the south during this time one in tama one in miami. Lots of famous people from the north alway came down to tampa and performed at the clubs that blacks went to. Everybody sat where they wanted ate what they wanted and danced. But that part of history the books wont tell you. Alot of blacks had it awsome in fl. And alot did not. And like i said intergration hurted the ones that were doing good. But yeah ts called central avenue tampa fl.
