Good morning Beautiful People!
Today we are taking you to a little romantic village called Carpignano Sesia and we will learn how to make Italian cheese, how rice is harvested and we will celebrate la festa di Santa Croce preparing a typical and local italian risotto dish, the "paniscia novarese".
It's always good to learn to do something for the first time!

That is a rice harvester!! My Mom used to harvest rice, cube alfalfa and haul logs in the 70s and 80s in California. I used to love to go and see her at work and ride in the tractors and huge trucks that she drove! Awesome video!! I am certain my Mom is loving watching this 😃!! I suggested My Mom and Dad start watching you guys a couple years ago cuz I knew they would love you guys! They are in their70s and hooked on you guys! As I am too 😍 !!!! Such an interesting video! Loved seeing the festival, cooking, Daddy Claudio, Dario, and the beautiful village Luca’s Grandfather was born and raised in. It was fascinating to see the different cheeses being made and the rice harvest. Thanks for taking us along.

How deliciously diverse this week’s video was! You continue to show us how fabulous your home country is both gastronomically and geographically. The festival was a real celebration of local produce and traditional values with community and family at the core. Glad that you showed the rice being harvested and the cheese being made. The people involved in agriculture and food processing are some of the hardest working in the world. Not enough thanks is given to their labors. All the food looked delicious.

Tomorrow we arrive to Catania, Sicily and so we are so hoping for some warmer weather. Southern Spain and Southern France were SOOOO cold, but we are enjoying the trip. This was so wonderful! So many memories of Carpignano Sesia….especially Ca’ Margherita. We were there with Ida, Gianfranco, Claudio and my parents and sisters. Also, in 1972, Steve and I stayed there with Marina for a few days alone and enjoyed evenings sitting outside with Fiumino. Loved seeing Dario, Claudio, and Bruna. It was such a joyous occasion to open the courtyard for a huge party. Also, watching the cheese being made and harvesting the rice was special! I made risotto yesterday for my family….a dish we love very much. Thank you for this episode….seeing the village, the Church, etc. brought back wonderful memories and filled my heart with joy. ♥️
