Its funny that Danny DeVito hosted this, Richard Harris when working with Russell Crowe on Gladiator had said they would go drinking in his old hunts in his native city Limerick, Harris died before they had a chance to do it together, so to honour his memory Russell Crowe visited Limerick and Harris favourite pub, this all comes full circle when the local chipper which is owned by Danny DeVitos cousins brought Russell Crow some fish and chips to eat

Mr. Harris, you lovely and crazy and glorious Irishman, your honest respect sprinkled with humble accolades for your childhood idol Mr. Douglas, always brings me to tears! That's not acting, that's pure spirit, love and unabandoned gratitude! Bless Richard, what a class act an Irish treasure shared with the world! Mcarthurs Park did or for me, it gives me Chills just thinking about the song, and how Jimmy Webb explains the story behind it . Richard nailed it .

Loved the story of Harris been given the last rites by the priest and not regretting a minute of his life well lived.
That been said, whether he is above or below, we will never know.

Richard is gone and so many other famous entertainers died in 2016 but amazingly Kirk is still with us. Good on him.

The thing about the actors of old. They really seemed OK being messy, flawed, humans. In fact, it almost seem to propel their careers, to feed them. Nowadays, actors are so determined to be liked and perfect, that they forget that they’re not.
