Hey this is my emirates life story in less than 30 minutes :D
The overall lifestyle and the reasons that made me leave. Everything that I'm sharing is based on my own experience. If you have different thoughts on the subject I'd love to hear about them. Leave them in the comments below!!
Thank you for watching and subscribing, it's not taken for granted, I truly appreciate this and You! :)
yes when I fly I admire the flight attendants because I know how hard they work!! I need my sleep I couldn't manage to this job.
Thanks for sharing your viewpoint and experiences. Ignore the people making ignorant comments, more than likely they lead miserable lives.
Your command of the English language is excellent. You pointed out so many important details about the job. Thank you.
As someone who applied and got rejected, I always admire people who made it, many times they are like, I was looking for a job and also applied there. Nice that you tried it, good luck with your next thing!
You are so mature for such a young lady, with a good mindset and life top priorities that makes totally sense. And your analysis on that department was pretty accurate.
18:15. Indeed! How can anyone fly all over the world and quickly adjust to local time, then fly again, again and again... wow!
Really nice informing video especially for young people who are thinking of becoming a cabin crew💗keep up the good work!
This video is fantastic! Is there a shorter version available, or perhaps a series of shorter videos on the same topic?
Thank you for sharing your experience! For the next chapter perhaps tell us about your new job and more about why you stayed in Dubai. I love Greece so much that everywhere else is kind of boring in comparison so you staying there in the desert is interesting..
Greece is kind of nice if you have money, because for most Greeks it's bad, really bad, staying with parents til 40's. Of course some people make it, but basically islands are wealthier and kind of a show for tourists, if you visit a big town in winter everything has pee, abandoned buildings, many people can't afford heating. I used to live in Santorini, whenever I would visit Athens it was clear how people seemed tired, trapped in the rat race. Of course Greece has good parts too.
@@aaaaaa-dv5fv Very interesting, but is it not the same for most cities? Personal choices play a big part right?
Same in Uk people are very tired of exploitation low pay for last 29 yes unless you re a high class professional. I ended up homeless after working and managing whoke life in bad salaries.. @@aaaaaa-dv5fv
@@rrocketmanno sorry redundancy plays a big part even if you re an excellent worker ss companies just want cheap
I've always wanted to be cabin crew since I was 10. But as a teen I faced a terrible acne phase which had left atrophic scars on my cheek. I like to think I have a pretty smile but what people see is my scars. I got rejected from my domestic air line, Qatar and Etihad for this reason because make up can't fully cover it. I became a health care practitioner instead. I have what it takes to be a cabin crew, I am very much of a night owl doing 6-9, 32 hour shifts a month, working total of 300-350 hours a month. I am good with people. But sometimes there are people who are made to do the job but wouldn't be given a chance because the face is not pretty enough. I haven't even tried with Emirates knowing their grooming standards are so high.
No offence to you darling. You are absolutely right when you say how exhausting it can get. Good luck with the next chapter of your life.
I appreciate your honesty! You pointed out everything you could and painted a solid picture of the experience here.
This job was always a dream job of mine since i was an 8 year old kid😂. But omg , I'm now 26 and Living this lifestyle really seems exhausting. Maybe in the very early twenties for a year or two would be ok to build a life abroad and travel and live the whole luxurious experience. But as you pointed, it's not a long term job , it's definitely exhausting and doing it for long stunts your growth and your skills are limited to the job and that's it. So it's definitely good to realise that earlier and develop the skills after you've had your fun.
you made me realise this job at my age , where I'm looking for stability and comfort and building meaningful lifestyle and habits and connections, won't work.
I think I'm past being able to live this adventure😅. I hope i get to live another adventure and travel through my future career 🙏🏽💖
Wish you best of luck girlie ❤
Your advice is amazing thank you!
Glad you liked it. Thank you 🙏🏽
Love the English you have mastered the language quite well.
A family member is thinking of leaving a small US airline to apply with Emirates. They may not get paid well for small airlines here in the US but the benefits comparative to what you’re saying here in this video are much better. More ideas on what it’s like to live in housing in Dubai would greatly be appreciated and then how you had a pet and could you take your pet back home with you ? Thanks for all you. Hope you’re enjoying your new job.
My daughter got email for 1st stage but she has changed her mind. Looks exhausting.
Interesting point of view..
Hello
I have applied for emirates customer service role online and the submission status was immediately "application unsuccessful" What does it mean? Also i did not receive a confirmation email that they received my application. It is very weird and don t know what to expect from it. Did somebody else get the same experience?
some types of people will never be fulfilled no matter the job, if they work 9-5 they will complain about routine, if they don't they will complain either.
true !
When you think about it deeply, there's no such thing as an ideal job. Even being a Hollywood actress has its downfalls.
Hello, thank you for your honesty. I would like to apply for Emirates next year (following your advices so I'm finishing my master degree in finance first) could you give us some advice for the open day ? (attitude, posture, interview) wishing you the best ❤
Go into acting you would become a Hollywood movie star . 🎬✨✨✨🏆
Thank you, this was very informative ❤
Hey girl, first thank you for sharing this video. But i am not agree with you, in any job you can not expect to be "family" with your colleagues because it's your job only that's it, and all of them are your competitors. Almost 6years I'm in office job trust me it's also crazy. From 9am untill 6pm you're at the office and doing the same things. This is same for all jobs unfortunately. Beceuse all jobs becomes routine after 6-7 month (some of them even earlier😅)
So I think being cabin crew at least you have adventures, you can not travel that much with your office job salary. Of course every job has benefits and side effects let's say:)))
But I don't think office job is a good option tho 😒
Thank you so much for this really useful video!!
Love your point of view ❤ makes sense
So, being in a company for that long as a cabin crew means that you have an issue?! That's dedication and hard work that led them to stay that long, unlike many people like u, Don’t seek hard work, and prefer to do an easier job with less pay check. I believe that you have issues, honey. I'm a cabin crew, and I manage my sleep and diet very well, so you have to plan better. You know what's depressing? An office job in the same location every time working 9-5 with the same people. I can see why you're complaining. You've never worked a 9-5 job for a long time because otherwise, you would have a different opinion about it.
How many years are you working ?
you are so true !
Not everybody can adjust to the crazy hectic routine of a flight attendant, especially those with families. Many need to settle down to a regular routine and find it hard to adjust to constant jetlag
The experience of being a flight attendant is something that really interests me. I want to apply to greek airlines like Aegean. Do you think that going to a flight attendant academy will benefit me?
You have an amazing attitude 🎉
Thank you
i want to be a pilot and not a flight attendant. If you had any conversation with them or you know by yourself, is it the same routine?
No it’s more relaxing for them they even sleep in the flight deck during a period they call control rest but it can be challenging for them to stay long flight in the flight deck so it depends
fantastic video congratulations
Working zombie, still most cabin crew managed to smile and get on with it.i could see some on some flights grind their teeth and went overly friendly just to mask their tiredness.
Most client-service jobs are like that.
I LIKE YOUR ENGLISH EXPLANATION I UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING CLEARLY AND SOUNDS VERY FAIR✅
Hi! I’m curious as to how you were able to stay in Dubai if you don’t work for emirates anymore?
Συγχαρητήρια για την εμπειρία. Έχω μερικές απορίες:
1) Στην Ελλάδα κάθε πότε ερχόσουν; Έχω διαβάσει κάτι περί άδειας 30 ημερών 1 φορά τον χρόνο. Αλλά πέρα από αυτό ερχόσουν;
2)Περίπου κατά μεσο όρο ποσα day off ειχες;
2)Εαν για κάποιο λόγο αποχωρήσεις πριν τα 3 χρόνια. Ποιά επίπτωση έχεις; Πχ στην Aegean αν σπάσεις την σύμβαση πληρώνεις 800€.
3)Ο μισθός λένε είναι στα 2400€ - 2700€ έχω ακούσει. Ισχύει; Ξέρω ναι ότι είναι κυμαινόμενο αναλογα τις ώρες πτήσεις. Αλλά ας πούμε το λιγότερο που χει τύχει να βγάλεις ποσό ήταν;
I am glad You left, it is a job, a girl with economics degree should be working in her field, not like in job where you will never grow up or have some challenges.
the hotels in Emirates are mostly airport hotels, sorry but this is not the fancy airline, the same with Qatar and Etihad, only American and European cariers sleeping in the city.
❤❤❤
Thank you ❤
Question: is it possible to manage marriage and this job together?
I didn’t realize that your layovers were at airport hotels☹️ Were any layovers in the city center?
Some yes!! But most were far from the city..
@@Gadflies I didn’t realize that! That’s terrible! I’m cabin crew in the US. Grateful our hotels are in the city center on our international routes. Thanks for sharing your story. You are absolutely beautiful. I’m so happy you are following your dream and left the industry. You will be an inspiration to many young crew out there!
Ταυτίζομαι στο κομμάτι δουλεύω ως φοιτητής στην Ελλάδα αλλά μετά πάω εξωτερικό ωστόσο, επειδή σκέφτομαι να πάω σε open day με την προοπτική και εγώ σε μερικά χρόνια ΙΣΩΣ να με απορροφήσει η εταιρία λες να μην το σκέφτομαι έτσι; Θέλω να πω πτυχίο στη διοίκηση με ειδικότητα τον τουρισμό το έχω όπως και την προϋπηρεσία αλλά μετά θα βρούμε έστω άλλη δουλειά στο Ντουμπάι ή θα το ζήσω 2-3 χρόνια γιατί αγαπάω τα ταξίδια και μετά πίσω ξανά απο το 0;
Super beautiful: hair, face, voice, skin. Love your sexy accented English, amazed at the multilingualism of Europeans.
and her smile!
I’m amazed by your kindness 😍🙏🏽🙏🏽
You couldn’t simply summarise this into a 3 min video? What a waste of time
haters gonna hate 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Feel free to make that video then if you’re so inclined
You. Are rude and nasty.
😭😭😭😭😭
Lol 😂😂😂 I swear what if she was not preety u would have been so missed 😅
πείτε μας για interview παρακαλώ
Many people do 😮😮😂
Rude comment! You have no idea what might be going on behind the scenes! You have not walked in her shoes!
Clearly she admitted that this was NOT her preferred job and she should stop trying to justify her decision as if it was the fault of Emirates!!! SHE applied for the job and the job. There are thousands who LOVE crewing with Emirates!
Hi ☺️, in this video I clearly stated that Emirates is one of the best companies to work for as a cabin crew. I’m just explaining the lifestyle.
I always think cabin crew career is not a good career path. It's not about the company.
Boring blah blah
Many many thank you for sharing your personal story… I hope more people get to hear and open their minds and heart on the difficulties that flight attendants deal with on a daily basis.. 🫂
