Huge Flash Flood, Maui

  • After a huge rain storm in Maui, Hawaii, the river above a place called The Venus Pools flash flooded where people normally swim. On regular days it is sunny with bright blue waters but on the day we filmed the flood, thankfully no one was in the water as the only way up was the way the water was coming down. Please subscribe as I will post more footage.

An easy way to tell if it can get higher is by the rocks, if they don’t have moss or foliage on top of them, it can get higher and you need to get to a higher elevation

@@timexyemerald6290 that’s exactly why, if the area has nothing growing on it, it’s stripped the moss layer away

Good advice. That's why it's impossible to come across flash floods in the desert. No moss means the water can't reach there.

I got caught in one in BC. I was smoking a few joints and then it started raining hard. I was by a calm waterfall. After 20 min I was chillin by the water although I wasn't looking at it I had my back turned to it. I heard a rush... like alot of water rushing. I looked behind me and the steady calm water fall had turned into a roaring rush of white water that was nearing me by the second. I quickly grabbed onto some Virginia creeper vines and climbed out of there. High was over.
