Fun fact about Alicent's green dress: its design was based off of the painting "St. George Slaying the Dragon" by Jost Haller. It's not just significant because the color matches the war beacon of Hightower, but also because of the art history source the design was inspired by.

I love that you mentioned that Crispy Cole is a commoner in reference to his talk with Joffrey Lonmouth. I didn't really see others discussing it, but I think it provides important insight into why Crispy might have reacted the way he did. Joffrey was raised for courtly politics, where sly manoeuvring and building alliances through subtle speech is the game. Cole, however, wasn't. He is a commoner, and he is not party to the games of the nobility. It shouldn't surprise us that he interpreted the way Joff approached him as either A) a threat, or B) taunting him. Unfortunately for Joff, he didn't realise how unstable Cole was, and he paid the price for someone else's mistakes.
And Cole, being a man who has been in actual battle, goes to his tried and true solution: Killing.
I hate Cole and was pretty mad when he got off so easily, but its nice to at least have an explanation why he suddenly started murdering someone.
I certainly would have seen it as a threat, or at least a way of implying Mutually Assured Destruction.

In episode 8, it's cool how Lucerys and Jace act so differently when they arrive in the Red Keep courtyard. Jace is excited and nostalgic to return to his childhood home. Luke on the other hand is worried and nervous about the ominous looks of the courtiers.

I loved how natural and fraternal Harwyn and Larys' relationship looks. Their short two lines in the scene when Alicent enters the hall is like the perfect amount of exposition to have in that scene. Feels organic, brief, and then out of the way so the camera can focus on the visually striking image of Alicent striding in.

I can kind of see where he's coming from, and to be honest I think if someone else stopped him from committing suicide his hate for Rhaenyra would've dyed down

I was a nurse for 10 years and I specialized in wound care and at this point in the story, if i were his maester, I'd have to wonder if what we were doing is helping Viserys. He's not just a patient: He's a VIP, King of Seven Kingdoms, the Rider of Balerion, Father of the Year (legit) Master of the 2am Booty Call (id hit it) and The Only Good Man in Westeros.
But seriously. I would have liked to see them discuss trying different things and none of them working. I see a wound, I then do what I always do depending on size, depth, signs of infection and amount of drainage because it works most of the time. Not always but It's pretty straightforward since making a wound WORSE is actually pretty hard to do. I'd give it a fortnight then reevaluate If there is no change, something else has to be done. I know its the middle ages here but we had surgeons back then who debated on healing the sick and would use everything they could. Especially when healing regular royalty, let alone divine dragon riding royalty who can just feed you to their daughters dragon, But NO! BRING MY BOILED WINE AND LEECHES!! For how long should you try boiled wine and LEECHES? At LEAST 20 years!!!
I know it's nursing nitpicking, but we've known about the benifit of cleaning out a wound, closing it in time if possible (as demonstrated by this show: shit stitching by the way! Thats not a dress, it's SKIN) But NOPE. Giant open wound on your back? No worries man. Giant wounds aren't supposed to ever get better. Not ever and if they get worse we just keep doing what we were doing. What's the worst that could happen?

Happy Birthday to the foremost expert on determining the age of babies (& likely many many other skills)! The “footage not found” along with that specific line of your dialogue was absolutely next level.
I mean as far as crispy cream not getting unalived at the end of the episode or held for his crimes or whatever, the show has shown two things as well:
1. Alicent is willing to waive his shit if to keep him out as a playing card.
2. Viserys is susceptible to Alicent convincing him of things as long as his loyalty to Rhaenyra isn't put against it.
That's at least how I took it, anyway, though ye I can see wanting an actual explanation instead of a fill-in-the-blank.
I don't hate the Larys line about the color green but I do think it was clunky to have it placed so close to the dress reveal and especially to have it come AFTER the reveal. I think it would've been more effective to have him give the exposition maybe in the garden scene. Point is, I think it should have been written so that when you see the green dress, you already know what it means. The exposition would have been given in a clunky way anyways, because it's such a random and unimportant piece of lore, but if you give it before the big moment, it makes the big moment shine more. IMO.
Alicent is such a tragic character, while I despise most of her actions, they're a function of gaslighting by her father. So I can't help but feel sorry for her even if I don't agree with her. Love the writing so far.
I think Criston getting away with killing Joffrey would’ve been a lot more believable if they had added a bit more context to where it is easy enough to figure how Criston’s position as a Kingsguard and in Allicent’s pocket could get him absolved. I think they should’ve written Joffrey to be drunk during the wedding, maybe add a couple little shots of Criston watching him drunkenly laughing with some other guests and then show us a moment where Joffrey goes to refill his cup and gets attacked by Criston.
That to me would be more than enough information to sell the idea that people only see the fight once Joffrey swings back and that people would believe that he attacked Criston for the price just a little extra screen time and a little less shock factor.
If it wasn't for the obvious costs, I think they should have just had that convo at a joust and then have Joffreys book death, because Criston deliberatly knockes him down. That would have been easy to explain. Sadly it would have definitly been to expensive to make.
