EC3 is a fuckin weirdo sometimes but he seems to really get the business. Always wondered how CYN would’ve turned out if he sat on the idea for a few more years
That’s why we had to wait until Vince got cancelled and had to sell his company in some crazy bid to not lose it all. 😂 Now the old man is out of power and Punk is back. Happy endings for all. 😊
I watched a whole Raw for the 1st time in years because HHH was running the show. Vince soured me on the company. He helped build it into the empire that it is today. But he's old & doesn’t understand anything about the wrestling landscape outside of his own company. HHH does, and I'm here for it.
Yeah Vince had his time and really did some amazing and successful things over the year but like anything else times change and when you get older you either know when to hand it off to someone younger who understands the new era or you overstay your welcome and everyone sours on you and you almost ruin a great thing. Lot of people trashed HHH cause he married Steph and he'd get the job just because of that and it's awesome to see HHH take the talk in stride and show the world how much he knows about the business and is doing great things. I always liked HHH. Good to see the WWE is in good hands.
It is interesting but hhh has changed a lot. I really think he has the business’ best interests in mind and before I think it was his own best interests. Not to mention anything good the company does since he took over does convert to praise back to himself lol
@Absinthexx7 i think he always had that mindset if you look at what a lot of young talent said about him in the RA era. I noticed once punk walked out HHH's mindset towards a lot of stuff changed.
I think at the core of Punk and Vince’s issues were two different perspectives of the direction to take the company in. I don’t believe at all that they truly hated each other. Punk was given a lot of opportunities but wasn’t fully committed to out of Vince’s ignorance of a brewing wave of professional wrestling that was more indie-centric. Punk appears to many as a guy who complains a ton despite how much he was given and just didn’t pan out to a largely profitable level. But Punk probably felt like he COULD have reached those heights had Vince committed to his pushes and not caught cold feet before things truly could get rolling.
Punk said that regarding to them being able to talk to each other. Like EC3 assumed, Punk has said in a couple of interviews that he felt Vince never got him at any point of his WWE career(I remember him saying this in his 2019 starrcast interview).
@@danadelarosa7991 That was always Vince’s problem. He had his chosen favorites but anytime someone else who wasn’t started to get hot, he wouldn’t trust anything he didn’t know or create and cooled them off. His way was old and dated, and he had to go, and thankfully, he was finally forced out.
He probably understood deep down that Punk had a lot of value, but he only wanted him in a certain position instead of pulling the trigger on him completely. When Punk left, I think Vince started to later resent the fact that Punk was indeed a star yet he “dared” to walk out on “the great Vince McMahon”, which is why he rejected any ideas of bringing Punk back. And frankly, Punk didn’t want to work for him anymore. Thankfully, now we’re seeing Punk’s true potential realized. He is indeed a megastar and he’s finally getting recognized by WWE as such. Took them a decade, but they finally understand what they have in Punk.
It's a crazy the world we live in. Nobody on Earth woulda thought 10years ago that CM Punk would be returning to a WWE THAT'S BEING RUN BY TRIPLE FREAKIN H!!! But hey, people change, both of them sure did. And that's the beauty of life.
It's a shame EC3 didn't get t the main event spot in WWE.....I will always remember tha scene where everyone was backstage during a segment "partying" and he is sitting there with such a look of disappointment toasting with a solo cup. Seeing that as a fan you can just tell he had been fed up for a while. So stoked he's got that 10 pounds of gold around his waist
Love this guy he's very intelligent. Earned my respect during his run in TNA. They pushed him well but he backed it up every opportunity he was given. Looks great too
Never knew much about EC3 aside from starting his own company that with all due respect didn't work out, and the Dean Ambrose promo, but he sounds extremely mature and has a lot of respect for wrestling as a whole. He definitely seems like a very good man. Wish nothing but the best for him.
It's sorta comical that someone who will never make it to the level of EC3 in their lifetime can say this but also is the same type of person who will show off their "Brand new" 1998 Honda civic on Facebook. 😂
Everyone forgets he's still good on mic and to work with better then before... also he delivers on what he says. Kinda like seth in a way kinda but in overall... punk is one of those top guys love him or not
don't let too many big names on 1 specific company because not all of them can be the next top guy. just look at AEW. it got the same fate as "dark days" WWE and they didn't know what to do. too many great wrestler got left in the shadows and them terrible bookings were not helping them at all.
Sounds odd, but I truly believed punk was never going to come back to WWE. However, since punk thought WWE was truly a problem, I also knew that if he joined any other company. He would learn the hard way and return. If there is no AEW return, there would be no WWE return.
It was not he learning s lesson being in AEW and he finding some mystical answer for his mistakes. But is was he coming back in WWE from pettiness, to embarrass AEW and TK, and in same time catching the last train for staying relevant in the business. This is the same old CM Punk thinking just for himself. He is not the messiah, he is not the savior and he is not the Knight in shining armor. He is the same old egomaniac like before.
@@TheUnseen0n3 Defending oneself against a smear campaign isn’t bullying. A bunch of kids started to mess with him and he put a stop to it. Seems pretty straightforward.
I think Triple H, in his mind, will always see CM Punk as a guy he defeated at Night of Champions (2011). Therefore Trips has no issue bringing back Punk. And this is due to two reasons: its makes more money for the company and makes HHH’s win over punk much more impressive if CM Punk becomes a bigger star in 2024.
I’d be willing to bet he’s right about the Vince part. And I’m sure HHH hates Punk just as much as Vince did, but HHH realizes he stands to gain a lot from Punk coming back. Vince was already a success, he could afford for his ego to get in the way and lead to bad decisions. HHH doesn’t have that luxury yet.
And it’s perfect timing because Vince is reportedly leaving due to more lawsuits coming his way for sexual harassment, misconduct and many more allegations.
Punk isn't main eventing Mania unless its against Roman. Punk is farther now than before for a real Mania main event. Roman closes the show and that's it and that's what it will be for another 5 years minimum
