Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time CZcamsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. Just wanted to answer a few questions I've been getting! 🥰
1. My nail polish is Essie In The You-Niverse with an Essie glitter topper on top called Feel the Fizzle. 3. I've gotten a few questions on how I styled my hair today. I actually just let it air dry (which I never do because it usually looks horrible) but I've been wanting to use less heat whenever possible. I was planning on curling it once it dried but I thought it actually looked cute this way so I just left it alone. I have a little bit of natural wave to my hair, so when I got out of the shower, I used the Dry Bar Prep Rally leave-in spray (one of my faves! shop-links.co/cjdnVxfocsP) and just scrunched my hair to make the waves come out. Afterwards, I added a little bit of Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil (shop-links.co/cjdnV6tdivt) to the ends just to give it a little shine and that's it! It was my easiest hair day ever. 😂😂🥰

I started watching some videos from the blowout professor on CZcams and the videos are pretty informative, especially about using heat on your hair
I bought the Curl Defining Cream by Root to End (your recommended brand) and it was AWESOME! If you use a diffuser on your blow drier, it would really help with your waves

Drug store makeup keeps getting better and better.. I’m finding it hard justifying buying high end makeup these days!

Me as well, but even the drugstore is getting more expensive - Far less than highend of course but getting up there. The Quartz palette is the one I loved in your shorts Jen, I do wish it was easier and more affordable to purchase in Canada.

I love the JRB Dusty Rose bronzer. It seems perfect for us fair skin, red undertones, blue eyes, and gray hair coloring. After years of purchasing light bronzers, I have found what works perfectly!

I was scrolling through Give Me Glow’s website yesterday and stumbled across a bronzer shade called sunburn. It reminds me a lot of the Jones Road one. Also they have redder tones on their medium and deep shades. I’m not sure if they are comparable, but the Give Me Glow is only $14 USD, $12 if you just want the pan and no compact.
Wow I have been wanting an oil dupe for that Merit oil! Awesome! Those KVD eyeshadows look amazing. I also have the Revolution bronzer and use it every day. I didn’t like it when I first bought it because I thought it made my skin look muddy, but when I started to use less product, I realized I really love it. That Jones Road bronzer looks more like a pillow talk powder blush dupe than any other dupe I’ve seen. It has that same pinky brown like pillow talk. I have every single Profusion blush shade lol so I have no desire to buy Tillbury or Rare beauty liquid blushes. I feel content with all those blushes. I love them all! Love your videos, and I really love your hair straight like you have it in this video! 😊

Also, Lauren from Lauren Mae Beauty talks about the KVD Sizzle Sticks; that is where I learned about them and why I purchased them, also those Moira single sparkly shadows in a small square pan. SOOOO much cheaper than the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Shots. LOVE your videos!!!! You are DEFINITELY on the right track!

I bought one of the KVD shadows when Lauren Mae Beauty raved about them about a year ago. Insanely beautiful and sparkly in the shade electric bolt
I’ve only heard one other CZcamsr (can’t remember who it was now) talk about the KVD eyeshadow. But it looks gorgeous. I think so many products are hyped up because people jump on the bandwagon “oh I love it too!” 🙄 when there are other things that are amazing and totally fly under the radar. Also I love Sephora brand products. I’d put money on them being high end makeup, just in Sephora packaging. While I haven’t tried every Sephora brand product, I’ve loved everything I’ve tried, specifically their Better Skin foundation and eyeliner.
Profusion Blush Hour in Rose is one of my favorite blushes! It blends beautifully and lasts all day long.
I will be (im)patiently waiting for an alternative/dupe for that Jones Road bronzer because that color is amazing, but $35 is a bit steep for me...

I found that both work for me. Sometimes it’s luxury, sometimes it’s the dupe. BTW, the Dollsquad 2.0 has become my holy grail palette. That with a dash of Kokie peach in the center of my lid has made my eyes look amazing. So glad I found your channel. I may never have discovered Dollsquad otherwise! ❤

I saw so many CZcamsrs (at least the ones I watch) rave about those shadow sticks from the day they launched and they have been out of stock for the longest time especially hail surge their famous one.. they even came out with green and red limited ones for the holidays, I'm happy you loved them to 💜 I hope one day I can purchase one or two...
I recently got the colourpop trouble maker palette and that interesting blue shade looks like it could be duped by one in that palette, it’s only of my most used palettes at the moment!x

Just received the Jones Road dusty rose bronzer. I love it so much! Such a unique shade. I use it as a bronzer or blush and one and done eyeshadow. Compliments my skin tone perfectly.

I bought the ColourPop Of Quartz palette when it first released. It's one of my favorites! So pretty and can do so many different looks with it. I'm not a fan of Makeup Revolution but that cream bronzer is great! Love that it's not orange and is very easy to blend. Love dupe videos! ❤ Thanks Jen! 😊

The lip oil from I Dew Care from Amazon, it soooo good, not sticky, hydrating very good product and you can get anywhere from 9-12 dollars depending on sale. The D’alba white truffle line on Amazon, has a serum sort of like the merit one and is great!, their face spray as well.

I went through 3 of the Fenty Cream bronzer, then I finally picked up the Revolution one, and oh my! I definitely will be saving money on my bronzer. It is a 100% dupe!
I feel like drugstore makeup is so much better now, than when I was younger and my only choice was the pricier stuff because of the quality. For certain products for me, like eye primer I like the high end ones more than the drugstore, although Milani eye primer is really good, I can't use it anymore as my lids became more sensitive and it irritates my eyes.
I agree! It seems like those high end companies would get the hint and lower their prices, because most of the time we can get the same products at a much lower price.

I have a pink bronzer by Bobbe Brown in the color Antigua. It's great but I discovered swiping my Flower bronzer in Sunrise then swipe the antigua with my brush, it gives a perfect color for me. I have a close skin color match to you.

Ooo love those lilac colors
My experience with bronzers hasn't been that they are too orange but that they often look too yellow, almost green compared to the redness in my skin. Technically a cool bronzer could lean green but it doesn't work on me. So for bronzers I look for more of a terracotta or brick rose type of undertone. I have the Balm Desert bronzer/blush & on me it has that more terracotta undertone than "pink." I will say I've seen many neutral blushes that look much more like bronzers or blonzers than anything else because they are so brown-pink. If you only want to wear ONE cheek product those are a good option. I purchased the MUR bronzer to try a cream formula & even tho I got the Light shade, it's too dark & the color is slightly off for my fair skin. I may experiment with self tanning this Summer so maybe it will work better with a tan 🤞

I always love how you find lower cost dupes to help us save money! This is not a low cost option, but I think Jones Road bronzer in dusty rose is a lot like a cross between Antigua and Maui Bobbi Brown bronzers.

Of Quartz was a surprise die me. I haven’t gotten cool tones and now I love them ! I got a back up. Also I have a Dior quint Mitzah. I love that. Ha. My fav ABH IS SOFT GLAM
👍☕️❤️ another Sunday morning starting right with Jen! When they launched a couple of years back I got the Dior in Nude Dress which I was extremely disappointed with. For all the reasons you mentioned. I decluttered it.
For the price I expected more. I wish I’d bought the Tom Ford I passed up by spending on the Dior!
Didn’t help that Dior had a 6 month expiry date on the compact. I don’t know if it was the volatile plant oils that are listed in the ingredients or if they are explaining that performance goes off fast. Either way that annoyed me and I won’t buy a Dior eyeshadow in future.
That's crazy! I won't buy another one either...I assumed that for $62 it would be an outstanding formula but it's just meh.
That Jones Road bronzer looks like the Physicians Formula Plumb Rose blush. I've been using it as a bronzer for years. I can't find it in stores anymore, so I get it on ebay. I love it so much but it seems like it's discontinued. It's beautiful as a bronzer or blush though.
