What's so sad is he could have just bought some tea lights which are super cheap. A boxed cake mix to make at home or even a premade cake. Hell you can buy them by the slice for cheap at the supermarket. And a cheap discounted bouquet. I see them all the time for cheap because they're not as fresh. Just... So many ways to be cheap and yet still better than this. 💀

If he wanted a cheap anniversary party, he could’ve made a Dinner night for her. He could’ve bought groceries for for the week as well then. He could’ve cooked her favourite food and Dessert and everything. That would’ve been way cheaper AND more thoughtful / meaningful than whatever that was. That really showed that money means more to him than his wife.

The tenth anniversary gift is meant to be tin. It stands as a symbol of the resilience and strength of a marriage. Tin is a very cheap metal alloy and you can find lovely, locally handmade tin gifts very easily. For a lot less than $25 in fact. That and cooking her a nice dinner at home, or taking her to a picnic dinner in a park to watch the sunset together, would likely have meant a lot more.

Honestly I feel like a cake would be nice but a home made one because they took their time and energy to make this cake for you. that’s wayyyyy better then a floppy balloon and a cake without frosting lol
The guy is not only a cheapskate but an idiot. I could make a beautiful double layer cake for about $5 (if I had flower sugar etc at home already) and walmart has flowers for $5-$10 and you could prolly get a cheap necklace or bracelet at a pawn store.
