How to enter hidden menu in Ford Mondeo MK3 (service mode, gauges self-test, needle sweep)

In Ford Mondeo MK3 hidden menu you can test instrument cluster gauges (needle sweep), LCDs, LEDs, read diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) and check values of multiple sensors like: vehicle speed, engine speed, coolant temperature, battery voltage and more..
You don't need to visit dealer or use expensive diagnostic tools to check basic engine and sensor parameters int your Ford Mondeo MK3 car.
Just press and hold trip reset button, then turn the ignition on. Release the button when "TEST" appears on the display.

No problem.
But please notice that most likely you'll find DTC codes for faults that are related (directly or not) to the Instrument Cluster. Like bad battery (voltage drops at start) etc.
You can also but really cheap ELM327 bluetooth scanner that will read faults from ECU.

mr-fix in my case I had just cleaned the egr valve and the electric plug was not fully on, so I think the car thought it wasn't there.

Only if you enable trip computer in your car.
You need Ford diagnostic interface to do so.
And in all cars it can be done.

When you fix the fault the ABS indicator will most likely go off by itself.

fix the fault and the bulb will go out by itself... that or remove the bulb. Then take it to your nearest police station and hand them the offending light!
