I was fascinated when they they first dropped this. I am SO glad you did this for a reaction. Having someone that can comment on this with some background is marvelous. I hope they do more of these. Cesar knew this song but it is so funny that the other guys didn't. At least Layne knew Ava Max.
For their long videos, usually one person does all the arranging. But all of them have input into the finished arrangement. Since they named this #1 and it’s been popular, I’m certain they’ll be making more. It’s a fun little challenge for them.

One of them arranges, sends it out to the others, they record their part, make suggestions for changes, but the final decision is made by the arranger. They are all so, so talented, this was a hoot to watch! Hope you get to Geoff's version of Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas soon.
Geoff was recovering from Covid at the time this was done, so all things considered it turned out amazingly good. (On account of Covid, they had to postpone some of the projects they were working on, but didn't want to leave their fans empty handed for the month, so Cesar proposed this idea to the boys as something they could quickly and easily throw together for us!) I'm looking forward to more VP Loops! :D
Yeah, this isn’t how they normally arrange, it’s usually all one person but I loved this so much for fun!! It’s easy to think yeah right, no way they did this on the fly but Eli got the lyrics wrong so he really didn’t know the song 😂
This is not how they normally make a video. This is a one off, a bit of fun. Normally Geoff or Layne witll decide on a song, then arrange it, record samples for the other members, who then record their parts, Then the one who arranged it will sort out everything, the set, the costumes, the filming, the editing, and so on and so on. That's the usual procedure, so don't imagine that this bit of fun has any comparison to the amount of work that goes into a VoicePlay video.
Currently, they have put out a second loop. But, I would also like to see Geoff's video on how he produces his low bass sounds. You'll have to go to his channel for this.
Normally they don't arrange this way. If I recall correctly, they wanted to do more kind of behind the scene stuff and this is what they came up with. Normally it's one person (usually Geoff or Layne) arranging everyone's part and then asking the others for feedback. Also not 100% sure about Layne but when Geoff arranges he watches as many covers of the song as he can to see what has been done and what can be done differently and what needs to be the same. I find this to be a very fun glimpse of what they can do. They recently dropped the second loop.
