Every branch picks on eachother, it's what we do. It's not serious at the end of the day it's all love for your brothers and sisters.
The difference between the guard and active duty army is that guardsmen maintain civilian jobs for a majority of the month, training 2-4 days a month and 2-3 weeks in the summer.
For example, I'm a guardsmen. My regular job is working fugitive recovery for bail bonds, in the army guard I'm an infantryman.
The guard also serves both the state government for at home missions such as natural disaster relief, border enforcement, and riot control and federal government for overseas missions. I've been to the Ferguson riots for the Guard and the middle east for the big army.
The basic training for the guard, reserves and active duty is literally the same thing, everyone goes together.

If you want to hate your life join the marine corps.
If you want to hate your life a little bit less, join the army.
Army is 10 weeks, marines is 13 weeks, but the drill instructor wakes you up every day for 13 weeks, in the army the only time you get woken up is first 3 weeks red phase, after that you get to wake up yourself.

Same basic as active/reserve and national guard, depends in your MoS that's where your basic training will be. Nonfighing mos will go to fort jackson and more infantry mos will b at fort Benning. The video is correct in all except reception is about 3 days or 4 max, with the corona going on you won't learn combatives
