    What an intense match. I’d say both sides deserved their point, though we each had our chances to steal it. Mercedes Benz isn’t an easy place to play and it really showed. Adam coming up massive again with the brace, great assists from Seba and Carles. We seemed pretty rumbled throughout but still managed to create some very solid chances. Arnor looked very bright again, Ema just seems to fit the super sub role better when there are tires legs out there. Our wing options seem to be getting much better the further we go into the season. Between Tico, Arnor, Ema, Borrero, etc. we should be expecting good performances from those guys week in and out. Unfortunately, we were once again very unorganized for the majority of the match. Not having Matt to hold it down in midfield against FCC will be extremely difficult. Hopefully it will be his only absence this year. There were so many crucial defensive and attacking moments for both sides, just reiterating why the draw was deserved. So many “what if” moments. Tommy off the post, Shuttleworth with the low save to his right, Farrell’s block, etc. Let’s go to TQL and repeat that Open Cup performance!! GO REVS!!!!!!

    It was a intense match. Atlanta was a Better team in collective, so, i think ATL's GK had a dissapoint performance gifting the 2 goals from Revs.
    Great match of Almada, been the game's building and breaking the CB lineup. One, truly increíble goal and 1 assistance and a bunch of chances created that passed for him.
    I think ATL deserved most, but the Soccer not is from merits.

    equal contest in the sense that both sides wasted chances... Our transitions are slow are our midfield looks frantic and panicked. Our defense is fine, but bye and jones really need to focus on the defensive side of their game. But good support by the fullbacks on offence. Good saves from matt. I had said ema should start, but he is really best utilized as a super-sub. Go revs!

    Quality match between two quality sides, can't really say much more than that. However, the video quality is anything but. It may just be my phone, but the quality of this highlight video (and a lot of other MLS highlight videos) is subpar and incredibly grainy. Someone could show me this video, tell me the match happened back in 2010 and I'd believe them.

    Great match is all I can say as an ATL UTD FAN only thing that could have given us the win was a single better choice by the keeper Shuttleworth 2-1 us thats it not heartbreaking but sad nonetheless
    Edit:
    For my ATLiens Moreno is a shifty devil😈 he deserves longterm 1st team minutes even when we are healthy

    mls should eventually be popular in the world. Abolish the salary cap. Buy European football stars with high salaries. Like psg or man city, you spend a lot of money to get stronger

      They can’t get rid of salary cap cuz even then they’ll still be out bought by European teams and they don’t want to waste all their money. Plus that’s not how sports work in the US.

      @@cx34 I don't think it will ever reach the top 5 euro leagues but it will definitely be number 6 in the world in 10-20 years. their mls next youth programs show so much potential if those players don't move to europe

    • @cx34
      @cx34 Před 2 lety

      @@prod.twnt2153 To say that MLS will never reach the levels of the top 5 European leagues is a dumb take in my opinion. MLS is the 4th/5th biggest sport/league in America and is just over a quarter century old. With the World Cup coming in four years, the rapid growth of MLS, the rise of MLS academies, and the amount of money that the US (and Canada) have to invest in the sport, it’ll get there. If we keep pumping money into MLS and soccer in this country as a whole, don’t be surprised to see MLS regularly contesting with the big European leagues in a decade or two.
