Foxxie hell yeah me too
Foxxie isn't it??? Whaaaaaat!!
I did not know, that the potato chips are german.

I know right!
Im from Germany and i‘ve NEVER seen these Haribo Piratos in my entire life wtf
I think they are only sold for the Nordic countries hehe

I'm from Germany,
and I never heard of Haribo Piratos.
And just don't eat Quark like that.
What's Quark?
Oh, I looked it up. Cottage Cheese.
I eat quark spoonfuls at a time *blush*
I dont think ever really had quark, but my mum and sister love to eat it with marnalade on our bread, my dad also does it occasionally. But some of these were just weird. Also at least where im from we tend to not mash our potatoes.
charly yeah you flavor the quark
"They just eat meat and drink beer"
Don't we all just love that stereotype, you guys actually know that they're also some people that don't like beer and meat that much
Oh, and we're all Nazis. You forgot about that one.
The guy with the glasses certainly lived up to the stereotype that Americans are ignorant when he said that haha! xD
It’s kind of like the American stereotype too lol

I'm also from Germany and seriously... Quark without everything is so disgusting xD like why did they just let them eat pure Quark?
They need potatoes, butter and "Leberwurst"

i looked up the translation of piratos, its danish for licorice. idk if thats true or not so

@@nugguht as Dane I can confirm that “Piratos” does not mean licorice😂 licorice in danish is “lakrids” how ever they are very popular in Denmark and other Nordic countries like Sweden and Norway
I’m assuming that it’s only found north of the liquorice equator.
I'm German and I'm really disappointed. You only gave them the bad flavours of chips, haribo and beer :(

My father was born in the Czech Republic and that sums up his diet as well. If it wasn't meat or beer (or potatoes), he didn't much care for it. I don't think the Czech diet is that different from the German one.
"Germans just eat meat and drink beer" at least we actually have good beer and do not deep fry literally everything

And no one even in my country Germany or in the nordic countries does eat quark without anything. You mostly put fruits, sugar or sth in it but to eat it pure ?!
i mean the Scandinavian countrys a part of the germanic culture groupe so it makes sense

Just curious what do Germans like to eat? Or what’s the popular meal in Germany ?
Your lucky on these type of shows if they can get 1 out of 3 items to be authentic.
@@breejames6323 That is difficult to anwer because it depends heavily on personal taste and on regional differences. But in general we eat a lot of sandwiches. We have a really big variety of bread in Germany and many people don't like the american type of bread here.
We eat less beef and a lot more pork, often we eat meals that incorporate potatoes and we often eat Italian dishes.
Mexican food is not that common because we don't have Mexican immigrants. But because many people immigrated from Turkey instead there are a lot of turkish diners selling the famous "Döner Kebap".
I don't really think there is one german dish that is popular everywhere in Germany. Currywurst maybe - but that is not a real dish, it is a snack. All other german dishes are only popular in a specific part of Germany.

Saaaammme guurrl😝
I live near the Dutch border and there you get the real good "Lakritz" which pulls of your socks. You have to eat the sour Quark on a German Brötchen the strawberry marmelade! The contrast between sour and sweet is great!
german cuisine is typically hearty, finely but sufficiently seasoned and garnished with many different sauces which are usually made from the roast. Most German dishes contain a lot of meat (especially pork because of the history) and the reference to the Middle Ages. There are also a lot of game dishes. With potato dumplings and red cabbage. But there are also vegetarian dishes like Leipziger Allerlei. Because of the possibility of cultivation and stabling, there are many dishes with cabbage, turnips, spinach, peas, beans and pork.
How comes that americans always choose the disgusting german food? Like , why give those haribo piratos (Which i have never seen at the grocery store.) Why not give the OG haribos with fruit taste? And who the hell drinks vitamalz?
For clicks, nobody is going to watch a video about delicious meals that taste great, but everybody's going to watch something with "shock" value.
Ikr? There are really good flavours but they chose the worst one that I've never even seen
Vitamalz is the beat thing ever but I agree on the Haribos

They always have to serve something they may not like for entertainment.
I like flavors better
I'm german and it surprised me how they let them try the Quark "raw". I always put sugar into it and/or fruits, preferably strawberries. I think their reaction might have been slightly different if that was the case lol and out of all the Haribo candies we have, why did they pick licorice that not everyone likes in general? It's like they purposely chose it because they expected the "negative" reaction to make the video more entertaining but whatever, at least they appreciated the Bratwurst :D
supadupasumi im german too and i would never eat it raw
supadupasumi hier in brandenburg mixen wir den quark mit schnittlauch und essens auf ner stulle oder schrippe.
supadupasumi They chose that Haribo because its a flavor we don't have. America has Haribo, it's not a new thing for us, but that flavor is probably unique to Germany
We were waiting for the subway when I offered my mates that salty licorice Haribo thing that I had just bought visiting a candy shop in Bonn. I saw this candy everywhere around the shop, and it looked very tasty at first sight. But I didn't know what the heck Lakritz was. For many of us, it was the first time in Germany. When I put it in my mouth, I looked at everyone else's faces begging for forgiveness...
There is a Haribo factory in Bonn. In every place where a factory is located there are shops that do factory sales. That means you can also buy things there that you cannot buy anywhere else in Germany. Salty licorice, I've never seen it in a regular store in the past 40 years. Each factory also manufactures products that are typical or desired in other countries in terms of taste and can only be bought in regular shops in this country. I wanted to buy something that a friend gave me who lived on the border with France. Was extremely sour. I found it so cool. Unfortunately, this is not available in Germany. You have to shop across the border in France to get this one variety or for expensive money on the Internet as an import from France.
I have never met a single person who eats Quark just like that. We mainly use it to bake or make dips and stuff...
"Hey, we're making a video about german food, but we need some candy too..." "They like Haribo... Let's give them the literally worst type of Haribos!"

There are tons of vegetarians in Germany.
They're also tons of Americans vegetarian...but we also see a country which is eating burgers, pizza and so on
True, there are lots of vegetarians in the US. Just from my experience, though, the percentage in Germany seems to be a bit higher, as a vegetarian diet seems slightly easier to support in Germany (although stores like Al Natura are growing steadily and making the super-expensive healthy food trend of America slowly establish itself here as well).

My father is German, and my mother American, so I grew up with Wiener Schnitzel and spätzle and multiple other German foods, and I must say German is my favorite cuisine.
By the way, the point in these videos is not to portray whether cuisine of other cultures is "good" or "bad." It's simply to show how a small group of people react to said cuisine. They are in no way offending your culture or saying your food is not good, they are only expressing how different the food is from their own- with that, I don't understand the chains of American-bashing. Especially since this shows such a small sample of the growing melting pot culture of America. Laugh it off, friends. America is not a country of fat, lazy, ignorant people just as Germany is not a country of nothin but meat and beer and angry accents. Lots of love.
perfectly said..
Dani, My mother is German and my Father American. So I have had my fair share of good German food. There isn't even schnitzel on this list!
That's about the most German thing you can eat, besides a pretzel!
Wow, I'm amazed at the lack of negative response from Germans in the comment section trying to degrade America. Compared to the comments on other "Americans Try" type videos such as British food. Thank you! :)
Germans aren't name calling brats. They've always been the class of Europe.
As always degrade america
Germans are nice
I know but watch if they ever do a british taste test prepare for the wave of angry brits talking shit
Steven Salazar germans are nice tho
my german grandmother used to make me rice milk and sugar with cinnamon😫 it would be sooo good
Rice milk AND sugar with pure cinnmon? XD i think you mean the german version of rice "pudding" with a sigar cinnamon mix?
Wir mixen Quark mit Milch und oft Schmand was es viel cremiger macht und natürlich Kräuter etc. Das Essen wir meistens mit Rosmarinkartoffeln (abgewandelte Kartoffeln und Quark)
Nobody eats Quark just on its own! Put it on a slice of bread, top it with fresh herbs, pepper and salt - or some tasty jam/marmelade, blueberry and strawberry work pretty well. Or make Quarkkeulchen, pretty much a type of pancake made with Quark and raisins, like Russian syrniki. Or combine it with herbs and spices and make an awesome and healthy dip for steak fries. Or combine it with fresh fruit and honey/sugar to make Quarkspeise - basically it's like yoghurt.
It's full of protein while being almost sugar-free and fat-free, pretty much any German who's into lifting and building muscle eats this stuff like crazy.
ok
swedes does it

Um.. ye. You know that quark isnt used to be eaten raw, dont u?
Cooked neither
Um yeah you they arent German right
I eat it like that. It just tastes better that way. It's like pure buttermilk or yoghurt. Who needs fruits in these products?

I‘m from Germany but I‘ve never heard of haribo piratos 😂😂
I grew up in Germany and never had any of these things. And btw, nobody eats Quark without some kind of flavor or something and nobody eats these Haribo pirates AT ALL.
+Fairylipgloss Salziges Lakritz ist THE BEST
+LanaBanana ?? when I lived in Germany for a brief time I saw all of these things in the grocery store...
Succer? Haha, du meinst suggar was?
That was like the worst German food you could possibly get (German speaking here) 😤😂😂
Mr. Jack 😂😂
Mr. Jack ich spreche das was ich will du Opfer
Half of these things I don't even know and I'm German 😂 I promise you, there's better food in Germany. And you don't eat quark just like that, you cook with it.
I'm german and I've never seen haribo piratos in any store you should have taken the goldbären
