Here are the top 10 plays by the Chinese NBA player - Yi Jianlian. He played for the Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey Nets, Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks from 2007 to 2012.
He struggled with inconsistency, but he definitely had game. He was athletic, tall, long and rangy, with speed, and agility. The injuries caught up to him and we never really got to see how good he could have been. In his best season, his 12 ppg and 7 rpg was pretty solid. I think he would be around a 15-17ppg career player if fully healthy and 7 rpg career. Not a superstar, but pretty respectable numbers.
think he doesnt have the bulk or post moves to be a center, yet not enough handles/moves to be a SF. Hes pretty athletic and long and has a nice midrange though.
@@macgradytracy9430 well there was a rule where the cba didn't allow chinese players to play in the nba until they're 22, but apparently he got exempted from it. my bad
he could’ve been perfect in today’s NBA. Stretch-5, can run the floor, have respectable rim protection, quick enough to defend the perimeter, can catch lobs
Yi and Jeremy Lin suffered from the same problems. They didn't take PEDs like the rest of the league and couldn't handle the physicality of the NBA, back when it was still rough.
Ya know? This guy is really underrated, if people would let this guy play more in the NBS, they'd see how skilled he really is! Heck he's a great faceup shooter, he's got a sweet mid range jumper, very athletic and great on defense
First time I saw him play and I can not believe this guy was not live up to the NBA. He got everything for a basketball player (Tall, quick, explosive, slam dunk).
LOL......Sun Yue......that dude got talent, but he didn't try very hard after he got picked by Lakers. he is 29 but didn't even make into his national team
Would have liked to see him join a contender. And, they have two developing PFs. Lakers are too young and will probably play too much iso-ball. Maybe that will change with LUKE.
Dude earns around $6 million per year after tax back in China and he's still the number one option in his team. He'll have to go off bench if he returns to any of the nba teams, and gets only $3million per year before tax (Minimum. wage for veterans like him)
Lol yeah i don't keep up to date with Chinese League Basketball. Is he better now than he is in these 2014 highlights? I am here commenting because he came to my Lakers!
Many Chinese player can be a starter in european, and can help them develop better. The major issue prevent them going Europe is the money. They are Superstar in China. The money, fame, status they get in China simply weigh more.
all he need is confidence

@@alonedownthere47 who told you ?Yi played for Guangdong in cba.He has to finish his contract.

chinaman played in the nba too early
Yi would definitely thrive in today’s game. Solid power forward who can rebound and shoot. Sucks he has injuries.
He moves very well and fast for a 7 footer, can't wait to see how he does under Walton.
Who got this in their recommended after he got a pink diamond
Me, very weird

I think this dude is good
nvr beliv an asian jump-shooter with no bball IQ. BUT he plays much smarter now.
Best video of all time
Definitely an all-time CBA superstar. Hope he can redeem himself in the NBA

Cameron Felton Great potential but he put too much focus on team location, money, and partying.
True, I guess that's why he's back in China doing his thing over there. That's cool though whatever works for him

@@heikiu96z he actually just can't fit the team, his English sucks. Also he don't like party
yeah he can shoot but his shooting is too slow and he is actually not that good at defence
he's back🙌🙆
Damn 627 thousand people not only knew who yi jianlian was but also wanted to see his highlights. Respect.
so glad to see half of his top 10 plays are from defensive end
He should come back to the NBA he could really help a team like OKC or The Cavs
he is 32 years old
He's 28 lmao

Wow the old school highlights
this dude can actually ball welcome to LA
Fastest 7-footer with no doubt
W-Shing Chau... bitch-ass-durant is also quick, some say he is 7 foot and not 6'9
+Jay kay the key word you're using is "some"
Jay kay Durant isnt that fast. He's shifty but slow just look at his combine. And he weighs like 200 pounds
Wow, he's fast for a 6'11" guy!
Who’s got this in their recommended after his pink diamond in 2k20 my team? I just copped him, he’s a beast 😂😂😂
He moves pretty well for an almost 7 footer.
Very talented player
Yi and Lin should play together
Wow... never knew about this dude
not bad, Luke. ✌👀 I see you
That block was NASTY!
He's be a superstar in the Euro league, though athletic, in the NBA there are too many freakishly athletic players that gave him trouble

That's not a rumor that's a confirmed truth
Do you guys have any sources of the confirm source? I been looking for confirm sources on google, but found none.
He got everything, but didn't fitting well. Is it EQ or language or ... I don't know but Yi is definitely a great player.
Master Yi
+Berika Burton Challenger Yi
Dat Highlander speed boost on the last play lol.
I love how number 1 was with the bucks BUCKSNATION 💪💪💪
Yi was pretty good at his prime. All because of that injury he fell, just like what happened to JLin and Yao. What a pity
He's stronger, faster, and closer to his PRIME age of 28. LAkerGang!!!
pertinent remark
OMG, this guy is really awesome, just don't understand why lakers doesn't give him a position
He need a good coach. Still athletic and quick spin on the post.
Pipi Yin
Fei Yin

Let's get it! #lakeshow
When one of your top 3 plays is a block on Jared Jeffries, shit is pretty rough. Yi is cool though, I used to make fun of him but I like him

Lakers should really bring him it'll boost popularity and bring up NBA ratings even more
I'm guessing you guys just watched this over the news of his potential signing to the lakers too?

an excellent Asian body which can emulate American or European athletes.....but lack of confidence, not like Yao 's EQ...
Yao was still calm AF even got insulted..
Not really lack of confidence, but from what I've heard lack of work ethic.
I totally agree, he hardly talks
that's the main reason he was not successful as Yao
Stop assuming Asian are physically weaker, with same diet and training, there is no difference between Caucasian and Asian.
all star level
he is shy and handsome
still remember that Yi was 6th pick
Here because he got a card in nba 2k19
whos here bc of 2k20 lmao
Dam Jianlian Can Bang Out Like that?
Xiaojing Cui ya I agree
