She is the best Glinda I've seen! If you think about it, this goes back to when they were kids/teens. Alli's character is just that! Acting like an excited girl! Love it!
I only discovered Alli via Kimberly Akimbo. Her physicality, playfulness, and humor come across in her portrayal of Patti, too. Though much more subtly.

Glinda is a 5-year-old in an adult's body, you simply can't say otherwise. Having worked with kids this is exactly how they act in conversation. I was exactly this type of kid too, and most of my conversations were with me in the splits or doing cartwheels. I love the unhinged chihuahua Glinda beyond everything.

The Galinda’s try to “break” their Elphie’s out of character during Popular. Long-standing tradition. Several have flashed their Elphie’s to get them to break character.
There was a time in which another Glinda flashed by accident. I have a friend who was working back stage for one of the productions and as Glinda bouncing with her knees o her bed, it caused one of her boobs to pop out.
It's a bit over-the-top with her acting more like a child than a college-age young woman. Even so, you can't help but laugh. This scene more than any other in the show makes it clear that while we respect Elphaba, we love Glinda. Given the choice, most people would prefer to spend a dinner or evening with the joyous and hilarious Glinda, over the self-serious Elphaba.
I feel like I need to duck for saying this but it turns out I just cannot stand Kristin Chenoweth and I actually like the song. As well as liking the character. I know I know. But I’ve had an irrational hatred of Kristin for as long as I can remember
She has a reputation for trying to break the Elphaba's during this scene and frequently succeeds.
I would never stand a chance if I were her Elphaba.....I laugh too easily
