To understand the choosing of God think about it like this: that God chose from the beginning to save all those who chose to believe in Jesus. We're chosen in HIM. We're not in Him UNTIL we've chosen to be in Him by faith in Him that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. When you think like that you get away from God choosing this one and not choosing that one. God chooses those who've chosen Christ Jesus. That's what Ephesians 1:4 is about. Choose Christ and you're in Him.
