- We're back with another video and today we're going to be talking about some hacks that you can do to your flat lithium battery.
We know that this is a big issue for most people, especially when they're out on their own and their car battery dies on them. So, what we're going to do is talk about external DC to DC chargers, five critical horrendous on batteries, what to do when this happen and a whole bunch more.

I’m I the only one who felt he explained it in the most complicated way possibly anyone else could’ve done!
5 minutes in and I still don't know what he's on about.
Depends on your understanding of a flat battery.. if there is no activity then the battery is below the acceptable charge voltage for the BMS (battery management system) circuit board to recognise the flat battery. By putting another battery of equal voltage in parallel that in fact has charge (voltage) then the BMS will recognise and deliver a charge to the circuit.. After a few seconds disconnect the second battery source from the flat battery and the BMS should continue to charge the flat battery as usual..!!
no it was awful. we hgad a teacher in university that had a doctorat degree, however he was not a teacher and after 3 weeks of his teaching we all sign a letter to the university saying he was drowning the fish with his knowledge that he could not communicate and he was fired on the spot and replaced. this guy is exactly the same: worthless
Another great video. From my understanding using the “supply” mode (momentarily) in a Victron Smart Orion DCDC charger would suffice? Thanks
Wowww.... this tip saved my life!!... This is exactly what I had to do to get charging again, not a full BMS shutdown. I am hooked to your site forever, and why does Enerdrive not tell you this I wonder? Thank you, thank you.
Why didn’t you make a demonstration?
Will this work on a solax battery please. I have two 6.3kw linked. I think I may have one that has shutdown as they only charge to 40% then start sending excess power back to the grid. A step to step guide for a solax battery would be very helpful. Thanks so much
Thanks, your simple explanation helped me revive my lipo4 battery!
how on earth did you understand this guy are you an electrician
hello can you explain to me the function of the wire on the lin socket?
is there a 12 volt present if I connect it to negative, should it interrupt the 200A' relay?
I have a 110ah slimline with inbuilt DC DC charger. It has ran flat.
What is the best way to recharge?
you are a genius, you just saved my batteries, thank you very much
Thanks for the info, I watched another vid similar by another youtuber that showed ways you could kick start it with many 12v methods just to trick the charger into realizing a battery exists there to be charged. I was lucky My electrician i called didn't come and come through the manuals and found out my AC to DC charger had a mode i could run 12v without a battery and that kick started it just turning that on for a few seconds then switching back to charge lithium.
Hi, I have a 48 Volt 10 AMP battery that will charge for around 5 minutes then when I use the electric bike it will die very very quickly within 15 seconds how do I revive that battery. It does have a built in headlight and that's the only way that I can think of to discharge it. Or should I get another 48 Volt good battery and just go positive to positive negative to negative any help would be appreciated thank you Andrew
Probably it's loo late to reply..don't know whether you will see this. But anyway, you should try this procedure called battery balancing on your battery pack. The device used in this case is called a 'battery balancer' and costs about 9,000 INR here in India. Or you may catch hold of someone in your area that repairs lithium battery packs and ask him to do it for you for a fee. Hope it helps. Regards
Great Video Bud,
Would a 12V battery start up a 48v ? I have only one 12v
Please I need help.
I have some pieces of lithium phosphate batteries 🔋 that don’t retained charge 🪫 and I noticed the electrolyte seal covers are broken 😞.
Can that cause a problem to the batteries?
Can I add an Electrolyte to the batteries cells?
What type of electrolytes can I add.
Please kindly help me with a tips or solutions:
Thanks
Great hack. My 6 vah battery went dead and got zero voltage at battery and charger. Used a car charger at 10 amps [2 amps didn't work] and charger started.
How to revive an SOK Bluetooth Lithium Battery and bypass BMS
The BlueTooth has discharged the battery and you can't charge it.
Open the battery and charge the cells directly for about 10 minutes - after try charging from the top through the BMS. If it doesn't work, recharge all the cells bypassing the BMS to nearly 100% capacity. If the BMS still won't work:
Disconnect all power from BMS, let it sit overnight, make sure you charged the cells without the BMS to about 80% - reconnect the BMS, start charging normally through the BMS on top of battery.
What about with built in DC DC charger?
Did you get an answer to this?
My 110ah with built in DC DC has run flat and cannot get to charge?
@@chrisbarker2320 not yet bud
this also works on lead acid and glass batteries, I have scored many a free battery because of "hibernation mode'
I have a dead 36v what do I do then ?
Thanks, just about to buy a lithium battery.
My battery is working but the display is not going on
did not show how to do it show us
Carefull, not every battery has a safety bms, so li-po battery's and li-ion cells inherently do not have bms on the cells themselves, you need to add it for them to be "safe"
Some do, it's behind the button (+).
I Call it Boost , and have done it for many years , put the charger on and put a ekstra battery to the discharge port that is on full charge ,and boom , the charger starts up ....
Hi
Do you have a picture of this setup as I am trying to visualise it? Where is the BMS in this configuration?
Regards
@@MBMB-sz1ye Hi i do not understand the question
@@dangullik1 Thank you for the prompt response.
Can you show a picture or do a video of the ‘Boost’ that you mention above?
Regards
But how do you flatten the batteries if they have bms low voltage cut out ? Surely that would make it impossible to flatten beyond the cut out level
I have the same question. Just experienced this.
Because the battery looks as if its output voltage is zero at the terminals, but the pack of lithium cells inside still probably have some charge left. The terminal voltage is zero because of the internal contactor / relay / disconnect device which most Li batteries have now for safety reasons.
If you leave then long enough they go completely flat on their own.
It's called BMS
Next time try to find a room that is acoustic friendly
You could just show it without talking in a 15 second video
Fix the weak volume!
What device are you using?
I had to turn it down...
Sound quality is crap
Who else is pooping 💩 yeah me neither 👀🫣😖😫🥴🥹
Any experts out there??
So is he essentially saying is to connect a DC power source in parallel to the dead lithium battery n jump start charging it that way??
Any gurus PhD’s out there to confirm this??
😂
Misleading name to the video.
What a scam!! You need to purchase 2 batteries to jump it. No wonder the company doesn't solve the issue......THIS WAY THEY CAN SELL MORE BATTERIES!! How about us with just one battery?
You need to think outside the box!
You can use any rechargeable battery as a jumpstarter.
I've even seen some people use a non-rechargable 9v battery.
Good video but im sorry you felt you had to risk every-ones well being by piersing your right shoulder with tattoo.
Dude. What...? 😂
@@lizmarch7165 What haven't you under stood, Liz?
Your skin is an organ like your liver kidneys. This will make you "laugh" is he going to tattoo his liver?
Wretched! Shoot it again as though not trying to direct loading a truck with mulch from a distance, but gesturing to the point and on topic, illustrating as ye go. Speech was very very off pace and enunciation.
Also ofc. people should be using pulse chargers, see "Unravelling the Mechanism of Pulse" for an article that should get you to an open access Science article.
What the hell is he talking about?
lol...zero for communication...repeat 6 grade please
wth, its youtube, show your work
Does a serious over charge degrade the battery and if so how to fix like an undercharged if applicable??
