  • In this video I will show you have to power LED lights by using solar panels as the power source. Here's all the components used in the video:
    LED lights: www.ebay.com/it...
    Solar panels: www.ebay.com/it...
    Switch: www.ebay.com/it...
    Wires: www.ebay.com/it...
    Foam: www.ebay.com/it...
This is a a very inexpensive project that gives beautiful results. Begin with combining the solar panels in a way to receive a 12V source with a 300mA minimum. Attach the solar panels to a sheet of foam and solder cables equal to the length of the distance between your solar panels and your LED lights. Position the solar panels on the highest point around you (obviously outside). Solder your solar panel cable to the switch and then your LED lights.
Even though your LED lights will be powered during the day I highly recommend buying a total of 8 solar panels. This will ensure you always have 12 volts going to your LED lights. In case you only purchase 4 solar panels it's crucial to find the location with the longest sunshine hours.

This is the 1st of YOUR videos that I ran into. I've been playing with "electronics" for 40+ years and buddy, you managed to show me some new tricks. Truly amazing. I too am looking for a "cheap way" to charge up 12volt batteries with solar panels. My use will be to power a 12 volt 6000k led strip with an automatic dawn to dusk on/off or with a motion sensor that I can adjust the time-on. If you could help me with this, I'd really appreciate it.
I'm still looking for videos, schematics, parts, etc...

i startedplaying with eletronics yesterday, today i took my broken solar motion light sensor, i thought the solar panels were broken, there was a 12 volt battery inside of it and was dead, i then ripped the solar panel offand connect pos and neg to an led light that was from the solar light i put it into the sun and it worked, so the solar panels werent broken and worked i tried a very small motor, didnt work, a 12 volt fan, didnt work , only the led works im wondering if i can still charge the 12 volt battery because its deador flat, has some energy in it

Good to watch the video. Very well demonstrated. But what happens at night when there is no sunlight to charge the solar cells. During the day time we may not require lights anyway. Can we have a mechanism to store the energy during the day and use it after dark?

a solar panel without a battery connected to anything still works just the energy is wasted

300mA is barely enough. Takes 1A to power 4 strips.
You would be better off to create a charging circuit and buy a decent lead acid battery or LIPO.
