H&M sucks, it’s like the cheap version of high quality brands. Express for me sucks too but only because I don’t like the styles they have at all. Zara is absolute class!
@MyNameIsLegato build a good physique and with a 5 dollar t shirt you are gonna look better than 95% of people without even trying. It's literally the best advice about style you can get

I hear nun but facts. I started shopping for clothes at H&M and the athletic t-shirts they sell are the best t-shirts i’ve ever worn. They’re perfect for everything from casual dates to calm walks
If you have a Gabe’s (Gabriel Brothers), they have a lot of clothes from Express. I’ve gotten blazers for $30 each! The matching pants are harder to find but they usually go for $16.
@@wallyjackson9543 Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, All Saints, and Asos if you've got a tight budget (although this does fall into the fast fashion category).
I disagree with all 3. These 3 stores produce cheap trends. Get nice, QUALITY, fitted clothes from Men’s Warehouse, Macys and Nordstrom Rack. You can sprinkle in some of the stores he mentioned. But definitely not foundational
I agree with those choices. Although not everyone can afford Macy's or men's warehouse. And Nordstrom rack is all about getting lucky and finding that right piece. So h& m is a good choice.
Disagree with you my man. Macy's was the first store I started shopping around at and it is NOT ideal for fitted clothing or trendy looks. Most of the clothes are all over the place, you have to hunt it down, it's hard to find pieces that fit you aesthetically, and everything in Macy's is over priced.
Carhartt, flint and tinder, Viberg for workwear, inis meain, SNS herning for knitted pieces, Loro piana, brunello cuccinelli, Tom ford, Carmina for more formal pieces.
Bershka, fashionava men, boohooman are other options as well. Don’t like Zara or hm because the material and/or fit of the close is too tight when you have broad back/ shoulders.
Express has been my favorite for a long time. And they keep getting better. Back in 2011, they were seemingly going out of business. I was praying they didn't, and my prayers were answered

I don’t go to fancy places so I shop at Nike, Ralph Lauren every once in a while but honestly I like a lot of small brands on Amazon , like the Jesus sweaters or bible verse sweaters, some of the philosophical stuff too like the stuff that has meaning and that may not be sexy but it feels good and looks good to me.
I shop a little at H&M - I bought like a few black tee shirts bc I feel confident and looking good with wearing a black t shirt and jeans for a lot of things. I also might buy more clothes from there like a nice turtleneck or something
This stuff is cool but it’s more fast fashion than high quality. A mix of that stuff alongside places like Ralph Lauren, Fear of God Essentials, Kamakura, Levi’s, Tentree, etc and high end items will give you a more complete wardrobe. If you’re going to do fast fashion Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Urban Outfitters has slightly higher quality than your H&M and Zara stores.
The only one I approve of is Express. If you’re starting out, then H&M is good enough for now. Next is Macy’s, then upper scale stores like Ralph Lauren or even custom.
These option are fast fashion, sourced from unethical materials and sweatshops that pay cents per garment/ hour to their workers who work 18 hour days, 6 days a week. Problem is ethically sourced clothing is very expensive too.
The thing is all of those brands are tailored to skinnier guys as I'm a lean 190lb plus at 5'10 and the large barely fits me and the pants are impossible to find for my proportion as I've got a small waist with big quads and I still want to wear fitted clothes.
