Why are you not so clear.. just give step by step for the Jummah Ghusl, not the janaba Ghusl
Some say water over body three times

Also when doing the mandatory ghusl, do you have to keep the correct order of washing (e.g first the right then the left part of your body) or can we just wash our full body from head to feet without doing so?

Keeping the correct order is only for Wudhu, when doing Ghusl just make sure every single part and hair of body is wet, ie; touches the water ( the water should reach every hair and skin) that's ur mandatory Ghusl done. No need for Wudhu, as the scholar already said.

One question: If one is in the state of major impurity but does a normal shower (not the mandatory ghusl) and then he does wudu, would he be in a state of purity again?

Unless and until u have the intention of Purifying or Doing Ghusl and water reaches all hair and skin, these two are must for Ghusl. If not then He/she will be still impure. Only Ghusl can change the state from Impurity to Purity.
