My piper crocatum is growing just fine in ambient humidity :) she is in a pretty dense mix and I'm in the PNW so relatively high humidity. The most annoying thing about her is the extra floral nectaries/whatever the crystal stuff on her is. She drops it everywhere and its sticky sooo yeah. What a cute shop! Thanks for sharing! 🐶

Oh gosh Jaclynn, there are so many beautiful plants in that shop, on 11:43 there was that Schefflera and that purple plant to the right of it that I use to have till it died and I want another one. Oh gosh there are alot of cute pots also. So many gorgeous plants that I am sure I would buy alot of them. Oh I have two of those purple passion plants and i really love them and they are doing so great and have doubled in size. So many pretty plants in that cabinet. The Thai constellation is on my wish list. Oh I also really love those disco ball mushrooms. So many beautiful Hoya, I have really loved seeing all of the plants and things they have in their shop, and the prices are not too terrible. I also love Syngonium alot. Such a cute dog, she really loves attention. I know that if I were there and had alot of money I would be buying alot of gorgeous plants that would make me super happy. That shop is just adorable! When we bring my daughter to college we'll only be about 20 minutes away and I'll definitely need to swing by and see it in peook like Nepenthes, VFT and the ones that you said look like pings are Drosera (Sundews), I think Spatulata :) So cute!
I have Purple Passion. I think it’s better as an outdoor summer plant, and I just deal with it the rest of the year as a houseplant. It reminds me of how I feel about tradescantia in that way. It likes to be consistently moist, so it’s best in a self watering pot or at least in a plastic or ceramic pot. Will get root rot if it isn’t a soil that has enough drainage so I add extra vermiculite. It doesn’t like wet leaves though, it’ll rot. It grows fast, so needs a chop often but it propagates easily. It does well in moderate to bright indirect light; direct light will burn it but it will get rot too easily in low light. Mine did pick up mealies from a nearby plant and it’s bad, but my other stuff nearby is okay. So, yeah, I grow it because it looks so cool and I enjoy it in the summer, but it’s pretty specific in its needs inside.

I love my little weird tortum too. I can’t see it from where I sit because I moved it to the west facing windowsill It’s behind two plant stands. But it’s looking better with more light. Some has said something about it not wanting bright light. It’s clearly happier where it is.

I say buy the Piper. One of my easiest plants. Tells you when it’s thirsty and it’s thirsty often. It props like a dream. Give it a shot. IMO they don’t need a terrarium. Just wondering if you have a Hoya Australis Lisa. I know it’s not exciting. Not sure I’ve seen it if you do. Would love to see it.

I’ve had the purple passion. It is a BIG pain in the a**. Its is dramatic and almost wants to be wet all the time. I’ve had two of them. Note it was used in the past tense.

You should try the piper crocatum. Its easy to grow for me. I dont have cabinets so lives in the "open". It is near my humidifyer but i also have a baby in the kitchen that doesn thave an humidifyer. Very thristy plant but also very quick grower.🐶🐕🦮🐕🦺
