W400 is great for everything even base at a little bit lower pressure it is way better than the lph400 for clear and sealer and primer the only time the lph400 works better is at base spraying

The version of the w400 that you really want is the lv4 maybe in a 1.4 tip so it is great for everything all Automotive coatings even heavy clears the lv4 has the Tulip tip with the three slots and is a lvlp

Finally happened to come across the data sheet for this gun and it's just the w400 LV4 rebranded everything is identical in both data sheets, why it's marketed in the US as WBX but for sealer idk. Definitely sprays great with a lower fluid consumption than the bellairia, but just differs so vastly from the actual gold cap w400 WBX models in Asia and Europe, would love to see more videos of this gun out there

It's compliant in the US that's probably the difference paid for the legal rights.

The wbx cap is the same design everywhere, it also seems to be the same tech/design as the lvx cap with uniform droplet size advertised and when I swap caps on my wbx it sprays exactly the same to me. The difference is the US model red cap is approved by the US EPA to spray at 20 psi and 20psi is marked on the cap for compliant use. In the rest of the world 2bar or 29 psi is the recommended pressure for the finer atomization. The more pressure the more fluid is pulled out of the cup and the higher ml/min rating on the tech sheets.

Nice. Love my lph400. I have used a 2.0 airgunsa for primer and sealer. But mixing the primer as a sealer I find it much thinner at 4:1:2 so I'm wishing maybe I had a 1.4/1.6 in the gunsa. I refuse to use the lph for that nasty sealer.

Hey Kandy Man, would you recommend the 1.4 needle for Nason Sealer? Nason is all I ever used and it seems to be a really thin sealer, was thinking the 1.2 needle may be better, your thoughts? I currently use a Tekna pro lite to spray my sealer with a 1.3 but dang it always seems so "peel'y" to me. And if the sealer is peel'y then my whole job is coming out with Orange Peel, trying to kick that.

    • @kandyman5315

1.4 is better for single stage imo. I have had to reduce 50+ percent solids single stage to get the fluid output, that I can spray with the 1.4 without reduction. With Ms products it doesn't matter.

I currently use the GPG with a 1.8 or 2.0 for high build k38 mostly, and 1.4 for epoxy/sealer DPLF mostly. Does the WBX lay the sealer smoother than the GPG and if yes which one do you think is smoother the WBX or the LPH with the orange cap? I am not interested in the base coat/clear coat aspects of these guns or the looks. Thank you for your content knowledge and expertise.
