I literally GASPED when you said you're pregnant! Congrats to you and Joel!! Like a lot of people, I was basically raised on your content. I've been here almost since the beginning - I saw you get cast as Eponine, then watched your career flourish and different relationships come and go, but throughout all that time I feel like you're an older sister who comes back and checks in to share her wisdom. And as someone who's the eldest child, that's a really comforting thing. I've taken a very different direction in my life (I'm not a professional performer - I have a Boring Adult Job and perform for fun, and am content raising my cats rather than human children), but I feel like this channel keeps that theatre dream alive, just a little bit.
2023 is definitely your year Carrie! It's been incredible so far and will only get better. This is the year you deserve! 💚🧡💚

Fun fact: My seventeen year old daughter and I both love you to bits. Whilst I was over the moon at your baby news, my daughter (who finds small humans terrifying) was like..."Huh. Ok." It just made me giggle. Our oldest son and his partner are having twin boys soon. Being a mom to my husband and I's five kids is the greatest joy of my life and I'm so looking forward to being grammie! I think you and Joel are going to be great parents because you both have so much love to give. Even on the hard days, there's nothing like seeing who your children become. 💕💕

It is kind of funny how there are videos several years in a row that begin with “I really thought this year was going to be a quiet year” 😂 but it is incredibly relatable, every fall I get to drop some of the commitments I had made for the summer and I promise myself I won’t say yes so often and yet by November, I am once again, overbooked.

This half year has honestly been crazy, but it been full of so many exciting things, and it’s been an honour to see you SMASH it, especially with Once, Carrie you were an absolute vision on stage and with Jamie you created pure magic and I’m so happy I saw it twice (haha ironic) because it felt so heartwarming! And the tour I mean beyond words for how STUNNING that show was. And I can’t talk about Scott being in Panto with you because the pure excitement and happiness I feel is through the roof, that I’ll get to overly emotional and excitable…basically I’ll be a mess! 😂

Carrie you give me fear and self doubt vibes, but this is why you are the greatest performer ever, because you care and you want to do your best. All artists have self doubt from time to time. It is a gift not a curse. Even after 30 years of playing bass I still get butterflies when I perform live.

I came to see The Crown Jewels on the 5th and was overjoyed to finally be able to see you perform live. Cut to me on the train home about an hour later seeing your Instagram post I had to stop myself crying on public transport. So incredibly happy and excited for you both, huge congratulations. My parents renewed their wedding vowels at Gretna green in 2020 they were married for 25 yrs and it was the best feeling being able to see them say how much they love each other after 25 years of married. I think it was so precious.
