Famous Last Words: “I heard this movie gets wild.”
Gets a bit silly dilly, like
Oh my
“just follow us ok? or else i’m gonna drink your bathtub water” miss gurl you did not- 😭
consider yourself warned…??
The leads are so well cast that my mind is working overtime with no pay. This movie has altered people’s brain chemistry.
omg sorry unrelated but i always see you on all the channels that i love. I love that we basically enjoy literally the same channels. Hope you're having a good day/night wherever you are darling ❤
@@nonoeeeThat’s so sweet, thank you! Nice to meet you and have a great day too.
😂🤣brain chemistry is crazy
I don't know if you noticed but in the first breakfast scene you can see Felix walk past the window foreshadowing his death and when the sister overfills her wine that represents the blood in the bathwater
🤯
Also Elspeth choking...
YESS IM SO GLAD I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THESE LITTLE DETAILS
and the way oliver purposely order over easy eggs then says they make him sick, he’s testing how loyal duncan is so when he takes over the estate he won’t spill his secrets. oliver is very meticulous and smart with his ways. i loved this movie and every time i rewatch i catch something else
also (idk if this was intentional but my brain picked up on it and I spent about a minute squinting at the screen) when Oliver throws his dad's rock way at the beginning it doesn't land in the water, foreshadowing the fact that he's not dead
That moment you realize Oliver may be the villain.
Guys… I watched this movie thinking it was gonna be a gay love story… I didn’t watch any trailers, so you Can imagine how shoked I was 🥲
right there with you bestie
Same. I watched it with my parents because of this
@@robyncaslin75 OMG. What was their reaction???
I saw this in the theater when it first came out... before all the hype or spoilers. So yea, I thought the same thing. I was not expecting to see all that, on a big screen no less.
I watched it by myself w no clue what I was getting into and the first 5 minutes I was like “oh this gay? Nicee” and then it took a TURN and I was like oh this is gonna be big
What truly grossed me out with the bath scene was him tonguing that rusty ass dirty ass drain 😖. Like that thing's been there for centuries 💀
Another reaction I watched called it "rimming the bathtub" and I can't get that description out of my brain.
Barry Keoghan is always playing these little freak guys lol, i’ve seen him in like ONE normal role, love it
Barry improvised the grave scene btw. Jacob Elordi is Australian and Barry Keoghan is Irish. The only English man plays an American lol
No he didn't. The director came up with the idea on the day of shooting. So it wasn't in the script but it also wasn't spontaneous.
@@ColinsComments I suggest u look at the interviews and you'll it themselves saying it was Barry's idea and he only told Emerald (the director) and stop embarrassing yourself kid
The last scene wasn't in the original script either. Oliver was supposed to crawl into bed naked. The dance scene we got wasn't exactly improvised, it was planned out... but Barry felt that Oliver's final scene needed something more, so he and Emerald came up with the dancing through the house instead.
@@ColinsCommentshe did, he told everyone to leave bc he “had an idea” and then shot the grave scene
I agree the bath scene was just an intrusive thought. Oliver said "Eat the rich" I loved this movie so much.
I liked the ‘Pride and Prejudice’ (2005) reunion with Carey Mulligan and Rosamund Pike.
Carey Mulligan and Rosamond Pike also co-starred in the British film "An Education" - a wonderful film which also stars glorious Emma Thompson - I highly recommend it.
@@colleenwhalen6981 Oh yeah I remember now
This video was SO GOOD. The editing had me DYING
thank you 🫶
The vampire scene highkey hot as hell, jesus fucking christ. It was whiplash being that attracted to him that quickly.
he hit us with that red flag rizz 🥵
@@demontrash BTW idk if you guys read but yall seem like you'd really like a horror "romance" series called the Souls trilogy, starting with Her Soul to Take. It's fuckin GOOD, had my kickin my feet and shit
Um. No
Lol your name makes sense
@@kathleenclark815 who are you?
@@luchia21100I'm me. Who are YOU?
I just watched Kennie JD talk about this movie, now y'all are watching it. It's a good day today.
I know Kennie is booked and busy but I would live for a collab 😂
@@tegztegz Same!
If you like Saltburn, you may be interested in:
The Talented Mr Ripley (starring Matt Damon, Jude Law, Cate Blanchett and Gwenyth Paltrow)
Purple Noon/Plein Soleil (starring Alain Delon)
Both based of the first book in the 5-part-book-series 'The Ripliad' by Patricia Highsmith - The Talented Mr Ripley.
I think Patricia Highsmith passed before the Matt Damon movie was in production so we don't have her opinion on it, but I do know that even though she didn't like a pretty major plot change at the ending of Plein Soleil, she did wholly approve of the casting of Alain Delon.
If you like stories about cunning, manipulative people who like the nice things in life, you'll like Tom Ripley.
There's a series of all 5 books coming out at some point, starring Andrew Scott as Tom Ripley.
Seriously, I really think you'll like both movies and the books (there are some other movies based on later books but I haven't seen them yet so I don't know if they're any good).
can second this! both these films are very good (plus alain delon is incredibly attractive). the jacob elordi of ripley adaptations lol
Love this movie… the writing, acting, and cinematography is fantastic. Oli is a psychopath who let the intrusive thoughts win. I’m here for it. 🤣🤣
0:05 a little bit of my soul died when i wasn't able to drum to the beat of the theme🧍🏻♀y'all took that away from me
all jokes 🥸 love you, my sick and twisted girlies 😩
STUPID EDITING MISTAKE 😤😤 we’ve been beating ourselves up about it
I’m with you…loved it! The character arc of Oliver was so well done and interesting. Lots of beautiful men and women to look at too ☺️
If you ignore the nudity, that dance at the end was actually very good
we can't deny the vibe. 🕺
the part where they clasped hands and started chanting "senpi noticed" and "daddy is calling" will forever be my roman empire. literally the realest thing i have ever seen
Thank you for reacting to this! it's been a while since I've been this obsessed with a movie. I love Oliver as a fictional character, he's one of the most intriguing characters ever.
Imagine my surprise seeing Beatrix from Fate the Winx Saga in Saltburn 😭😭
*leonardo dicaprio pointing meme*
Bro tell me about it, I was watching this with my partner and when I heard her I was like "Man, that sounds a lot like Beatrix from fate" My flabbers ghasted
I love y’all so much! 😂 the way I cackled at your reactions 😆 and the editing 🙌🙌🙌
This movie is so cunty I can’t even be mad 😭
it’s a serve 🫶
I've heard rumors that there was a kiss scene between Felix and Oliver in the original script but it eventually got cut at some point... I think it would have been much better if it was left in the movie to be honest that's kind of like the one sort of critique I have about the plot line of the movie is that we didn't even get a kiss!
Psst... Ollie has had the chain since *THE VERY BEGINNING* !! And yes, I *DID* check, because I was wondering if he started wearing a chain later (when more of his "true personality" was starting to emerge) or from the beginning. He's worn it since the movie started (after the beginning "monologue" & it starts telling the story of how it all began)... I'm *OBSESSED* with this movie! Anyway, just wanted to pass on that info, cause yanno... you can't trust a man with a short chain! LOL!!
you guys are so fun to watch like full same on this whole reaction, this movie was WILD thus i will be thinking about it for the rest of my life
This reminded me if the Talented Mr. Ripley, i have never been more scared of matt Damon
this movie had me in a constant state of distress for about 2/3 of the run time but DANG is it a good movie, every aspect of it is genius and sooo well done
The way I need y'all to watch the Through My Window sequel now after all of this. 😂😅
its been like a month since i first saw it and i think abt the karaoke scene daily made me fall for archie madekwe biblically i fear
we need them to release a full cover!
the only thing i currently know about this movie is the bathtub scene and that oliver does the freaky deaky with the soil on top of felixs grave. and that is all i need to know to NOT watch this movie😃
I wish i listened 😭😭
I was bamboozled thinking this was a romance but the whole time its mentally criminal 😭 like whyyy did he have to even do that when he was super smart has money and was the best of his class I- Ollie leave those people alone please he was flinging them mfs out of Saltburn left and right 😂😭
I’m not dancing with him. I’m dancing at him. 😎
it's a BOP! OKAYYY?!?! 😂
It's funny, I don't know why, but I didn't trust Oliver from the start. He was so strange that I couldn't belive the things he said.
Great job guys, you're the best ❤
hands down- you guys had the best reaction to the tub seen iv seen BY FAAARR lmao
0:53 Carol's singing is amazing!!
7:50 "reel it in"😂
8:33 "senpai noticed!"🤣I love you two
12:11 "come home with me" that's a little suspicious🤨
14:53 like hello??? I can't look at a drain the same way now...
18:23 Oliver's the villain, I'm saying it now
24:39 "This is sick and TWISTEEEEEEDDDDD!!" A-freakin-men
27:02 so he literally killed everyone in the family????
edit: the emojis on the "pick a scene" make sense now😖That was very sick and twisted but intriguing at the same time
didn't know people outside South Africa were familiar with 'hahaha, yoh!' meme
Barry Keoghan 🤩😍🤩😍🥰
You guys are my favvvv Oliver had me whipped asf too😭
The Bathtub Scene Is A Thing I Wish To Remove From My Mind.
It’s a small thing but thank you for catching how the eggs were cooked. I’ve been on a Saltburn reaction kick and have watched about 20 and you were the first who caught they were sunny side up and not over easy. Everyone was saying they why did you order it that way. He didn’t!!!
4:57 in many ways it is Jacob Elordi who was yet to come.
It was at 13:05 that I decided to smash the "like" button. That early observation!!
Barry Keoghan is just a phenomenal actor
I just want 1 friend like yalls friendship
petition for karol and avery to watch the buccaneers!
This Movie did give kinda me talented Ripley vibes
Great reaction!
Okay I'm not gonna read through every comment to figure out if anybody realized that the bath water wasn't JUST bath water... it was jizzy bath water 🤮
Ewwww
Jacob in. A tuxedo ❤❤❤💜💜💜😍😍😍
My reaction on the sexual acts was underwhelming. I'm a sex coach! I've seen and done some things... 😅
Oliver has nice eyes
y'all should watch bones and all such a wholesome romance movie :)
you guys are kinda hilarious 😭😭😭
Amazing ❤
The story is so mediocre but beautifully executed. It definitely got me on the edge of my seat and so disturbed 😂 love it.
Squuueeeeeeee!!! Yours was the reaction that I was waiting for on this one. I knew You would love all the sexual tension between these guys, I was also disappointed at the lack of boy kisses!!
The Vampire scene is lowkey hot 🫢
If y'all are Austen fans and haven't seen it yet, you should react to Clueless!

@@demontrash That's my bad for not checking first! I just binged your Twilight marathon and then this and y'all are amazing and hilarious. Looking forward to seeing more and thanks for the response!
You guys should watch top gun and top gun maverick
they should have made jacob elordi the killer or at least someone hot
😈 blood 🩸 bath 🛁
I can understand the shock, but i`ll have you know that SB is in large part a regurgitation of quite a few movies before it (The Talented Mr Ripley most of all). Good actors though, and great cinematography/production design. But dig deeper. And the hype for it will... burn away :P.
What does AO3 mean?
It's a fanfic site
@@shanajeangedeon9060 ahhh gotcha thanks!
Please, watch the hunger games😭😭
Thank you for reacting to this so I don't have to watch it 😅
it’s a pleasure to be of service
Did you notice that each of the shocking scenes got progressively worse though... that's what I think a lot of people miss. They focus on the shock factor and don't realize that each one has a purpose. It's a slow pulling back of the layers on Oliver's character. The bath scene was pure obsession, but when he gets with Venetia and lies about it afterwards, we realize he's also a manipulator. By the time we get to the grave scene we understand he's completely sick in the head. Something's wrong upstairs. Oliver was a sociopath.
i’d consider vetting your sponsors a bit more 👀
please, feel free to infiltrate my life
You wish you were dancing with him...
🤫
Enjoyed this one. Think people hate on it because a rich white woman made it.
gen z slang = aave
"Saltburn" was compared in film reviews as a hybrid between "The Talented Mr. Ripley" meets "Brideshead Revisted". Nope, not even remotely close.....because both of those firms were brilliant whereas "Saltburn" is just turgid, creepy, shock value homeoerotic bottom feeder sludge....a muddled attempt at a quasi-psychological thriller, horror movie and sexually repulsive scenes solely for the sheer shock value just to be utterly repulsive. Repulsive for the Sake of Being Repulsive.
I watched the first 27 minutes on Amazon Prime and was so bored, that I put it on hold while I read several film reviews. Then I read all the spoilers and it turned my stomach when I learned how putrid what was in store for me, if I continued watching "Saltburn". SPOILER ALERT - like BIG TIME SPOILER ALERT - so creepy, low income Oliver Quick the loner, misfit, nerdy, hanger-on, social climber Scholarship Boy at Oxford, turns out to be a necrophiliac serial murder who kills off most of the aristocractic family and winds up inheiriting the entire castle and the estate.
Completely IMPROBABLE since British aristocrats would never in a million years leave the inheiritance to the enromous fortune, the castle and entire estate and manor to someone they only knew for a summer who is not a blood relation. The castle and the manor estate would have definitely been left to a cousin, an uncle, or SOME SORT OF BLOOD RELATIVE - typically under the system of primogeniture which has been the standard in England since 1066 Battle of Hastings and the founding of the British Royal family - who inheirits the estate is a MALE RELATIVE and the oldest male relative
In an aristocratic family that wealthy and prominent if ALL the relatives quickly wind up dead under mysterious circumstances there would have been an inquest and a detailed investigation. Oliver Quick is nothing more than an interloper and it was utterly incogrous that he would have inheirited the vast wealth and castle after murdering the entire aristocratic family!
I decided to slog through this muddle ONLY because I wanted to see the performance of Rosamind Pike and Carey Mulligan. They both co-starred together in the wonderful British film "An Education". I am also an admirer of Richard E. Grant - but even those three outstanding actors could not save this turgid muddle of a film.
If truth be told, I actually enjoyed watching this Reaction Review of the two hilarious gal pals who host Demon Trash, than the actual piece of crap movie. Are they sisters, cousins? They look so much alike.........very amusing patter as they go through the film..............Oh well, I had a free 7 day trial on Amazon so at least I did not waste money to buy a ticket to see it in a theatre.
Wow. That’s some pretty poor cuts selection and censorship going on here. You miss the whole point of a reactions video. Pity.
