If Ikora jumping the shark felt strange, she actually has a good reason for it. Between her and Eris, Ikora is the expert on Ahamkara. Back in the Great Hunt when Humanity was wiping out out all known Ahamkara from the Sol system, Ikora *wished* to know more about them and her wish was granted. Last time Eris wished on an Ahamkara bone it was to escape the Hellmouth and she paid the price by having her eyes were replaced with those of a Hive Acolyte.
Considering Strand is a darkness ability associated with psychic energy, and the power of the mind and a web of consciousness that connects all living beings, I like to think, in-universe, learning Strand is what’s made the Guardian able to more easily see though Savathun’s deceptions. Deepsight could’ve even been one of the first powers of Strand, we just hadn’t realized it. Idk, just speculation.

Looks like the way through the Traveller is via Ahamkara wish.. maybe even the 15th.

I look forward to the day we outsmart and truly defeat Savathun. To see the look of fear and shock on the face of one so arrogant she’d gone blind to her greater weaknesses… still, I have a feeling the day we see the Osmium Dynasty fall, is a long way off now. Every empire falls eventually, Savathun is just on borrowed time. For however long it takes us to defeat the greater threats of The Witness and Xivu. Even someone like Savathun, after we’ve dealt with her enough times, can become predictable. You begin to see certain patterns that make her easier to predict. But, it’s still interesting to consider what she has planned for an era post the Witness.
Xivu has known Savathun for millions of years and Savathun still surprised her with her betrayel. No matter how good you konw someone, you will never know enough about them.
You will never see a face of fear in Savathuns face. Savathun is someone, who expects to be surprised and confronts her fears. She fears the witness, she feared Eris transformation would make Eris go mad. She still made her moves against the witness and went through Eris transformation as PLAN A. There is nothing, that would make Savathun react like you want her to!
