In this clip, Yung Joc spoke further about Gucci Mane urging rappers to stop dissing the dead. Despite his change of heart, Joc ultimately doesn’t think it’ll be enough to reverse the trend. Joc laid out the mindset that the culture breeds and how one’s maturity doesn’t guarantee that one’ll be able to change the trajectory of the culture.

"You can't chase it if you're uneducated". I love Joc. He has a bright future in public speaking or politics if he wants it. Very strong communicator and engaging with his story telling.
People don’t learn until they’re hurt enough, to want a change. Even then, it’s short term and they fizzle out. Funny, if you think about it. People today have information on the fly, books for free, and if you can’t sit and read take it with you in audio format. And people are still ignorant. Read the history of books and you’ll see the (b)illions of dollars sitting on the shelf. Books in the past only the wealth could afford. Plus if one was serf/poor or a slave to the king they wouldn’t allow you to read. They wanted to keep people ignorant, so much so that they would kill you; if you even tried to learn.

Ive come to the conclusion that most rappers who made their own identity and a name for themselves have some degree of intelligence. Think of all the oldschool rappers who their image came off negative, but they were talented and had their own identity. Like trae dee and mc eiht etc. They talk as if they can be conscious rappers. Also most rappers who have made a name for themselves are actually more versed in music than the fans that support them. While their fans for the most part are only true fans of only two type of music, and large percent of the well known rappers are even fans of music outside of just typical black music.
