You don't find many like him. What a fine example of a selfless human being. He is changing the world one student at a time!

Port, Aransas, not your average classroom curriculum . I want to congratulate this special teacher and commend his ethics and science approach to Young students. Outstanding!

I wished that I had a class like this back when I was in high school. Instead of the principal chasing me all over the campus trying to kick me out for having long hair.

I love that place! I’ve always enjoyed visiting. If I just had a rich widow woman that would adopt me.

Some bureaucrat with a fine arts degree will eventually defund it so a gender equity program can start. Great teacher!

If you own aquariums you recognized those API master test kits right away. What a cool class and program.

And I wish I would’ve had a teacher like this specially when it comes to being around the water and doing activities like this to challenge the mind

Not a lot of high schools with the liability coverage to have kids hunting venomous snakes. As a degreed and professional risk, insurance, and financial manager, I want to talk to their law firm and pick their brains. Maybe $1000 an hour talk around the Texas barbecue table? Throw in some seafood if we are in the home county, as rule #2 is know how to conduct your meetings. ( Rule #1 is truth and integrity only. )

He's doing great work and I applaud him for it. I had similar aspirations. Unfortunately my class size was about 35 and all they would do is try to shank each other, set the classroom on fire (this is not a joke) and watch porn on their school issued ipads. There will never be a TCR segment about my experience.

My high school was similar to yours. Our school had gang members who would often approach the backs of the police officers to startle them by saying "I took this pistol off some kid for you, he wouldn't tell me his name though", as the officer turned his back quickly after being yelled "HEY!!" at from behind, only to see a pistol pointed right at his face or chest. The girls would fight with pick combs. Everyone would be talking, no one would be listening. It was more a zoo than a school. I dropped out the 3rd day of 11th grade and never looked back. Sadly, "hard working" only made it so other employees didn't have to do their own jobs or work as hard as they were. I thought my efforts would amount to success but all I got was laughed at. This world can be "cruel on purpose".

@@MarieL10 Galveston Island has those rattlers, too, or at least it did when I grew up there. Maybe it don't now. I wager an arm it does though.
