  • This Project is just a test on recording in just 8 tracks and trying to find a diferent roots reggae sound and then dubbing it analog.
    Tech Details:
    The Drums are a 90's Yamaha Stage Custom
    The Snare is the cheap stock one "Yamaha Steel"
    Cymbals are a set of Zildjian A Custom
    Hihat 14" Crash 16" and 18"
    Recorded with 3 mics:
    Kick: AKG 112
    Snare Shure SM57 thru KT1176 Comp
    OH: AT 2035 condenser
    The Bass is a 80's Alembic Persuader
    Recorded direct into the Interface
    Then mixed thru the KT1176 Comp
    Run thru an Ampeg SVT Amp Sim
    The Piano is an old Samick Upright
    Recorded with just one mic:
    - AT 2035 Condenser
    The guitar is a Fender Stratocaster
    Using a Humbucker Pickup on the bridge
    Recorded directly thru the interface run thu a Marantz Cassette Tape and then thru a Fender Twin Reverb Sim
    The Organ is recorded with:
    - Roland Fantom X6
    - Nord Stage
    Both running in one mono track thru an amp and then crancked up in the KT 1176 Comp
    The Mix is done using this plugins:

    The Dub is done in a Yamaha MG16 Desk and the effects are:
    - Boss RE20 Space Echo
    - TC Electronio M350 as Spring Reverb
    -Boss Phase Shifter
