You should bring the camera to 711. I would love to see everything it has. I wish the convenience stores in the USA had such great food.
We would love to but most stores frown upon filming. One day we will try and get permission at our local 7-11.
you should watch Strictly Dumpling! he does 7-11 taste test and he films inside the store - although I didn't know it was frowned upon lol
Same here. I think the one reason is because of FDA regulations. That being said I would love to see more variety of Japanese and other Asian ramen in my local 711
I wish American ramen noodles was like Japanese ramen you get alot of toppings.
If you don't have any ramen restaurants in your area, go to any Asian grocery store. Tons of instant ramen choices.
Unless you live in south Texas where none of those exist without a minimum three hour drive.

Ahhh, memories!!! The first time my best friend and I went to Japan, we underestimated expenses and we're low on food money. we got a lot of instant Ramen in 711 and we're so impressed by them!!!

I've always add all the sauces/oil in the bowl and then add water to cook until I watch your videos. Now I will do differently. Love your videos!

These premium ramen videos really make me want to check out the instant ramen section of local Asian market the next chance I get. I was also secretly hoping that the sounds in the background were going to turn out to be a "yaki imo" truck, alas it was just the emergency test system. The "yaki imo" truck song is one thing that I strangely miss about winter time in Japan.

It is so fun to see the variety of ramen choices there. I love tofu, and I'm excited about the final ramen that had tofu in it. I've never seen that before! It was also so lovely with the cabbage and other ingredients. But the one you ultimately chose as the winner looked really delicious. I'm still experimenting with ramen-style soups using clear noodles. I found three more yesterday! Thanks for the great video. :-)
I love tofu too. When I asked a friend of mine who is Japanese if you can put tofu in ramen, he said, "You probably can, and some people probably do ..." His disapproval was obvious, and kind of funny. XD I like seeing how places do things differently.
That's amazing...I think you can make ramen however you wish. I put tofu in mine all the time! I know there are vegetarian restaurants in Japan that serve ramen, and I think they put a lot of vegetables in the bowl, and probably tofu and other ingredients. Tofu can be delicious in ramen! :-)
I'm having a PET scan today. They said no carbs the day before and no eating at all 12 hours before scan. This is torture for me.

Thanks. Me too. I'm guessing you know what a PET scan usually means. This will be post 6 round chemo. My mid-round scan showed excellent improvement. However, doc wants the giant microwave oven even if the PET comes back clear due to the type. Relapse is high in this one.

Hey guys! If you ever do go to east america, get clam chowder at Boston instead of NYC! They make their chowder weird, it has tomato or something in it. Ours is delicious! It's made with cream, butter, fresh clams and potato. Come to Boston sometime!
My friend brought me the Ippudo clam chowder ramen back from his trip to Japan. It was so good! Definitely better than the brands I can get locally in Canada
Question: What about the high sodium content in these cups? How do Japanese and Asian countries manage their blood pressure with all the sodium they consume?
You could actually serve that 2nd one to dinner guests, and just hide the packaging before they arrive. No one will ever know it wasn't homemade! My mother used to do that all the time with specialty foods. She would transfer pies to her pie dishes and pop them in the oven, for example.
Did you guys ever make it to NY? I'm from NY, and I can promise you, our 7-eleven stores will be a HUGE disappointment to you.

I worked at a fish market on Cape Cod, Massachusetts over the summer and clam chowder is not good anywhere but in New England. If you guys are ever on the east coast, you should have clam chowder in Boston or Maine.
it's an extra slap in the face because the place is in NY but not using the Manhattan tomato version, making a poor example of NE style.

Ippudo is my favorite ramen restaurant here in NYC. It is very popular! for two people the wait can get up to a hour and a half at both its locations.
I'm wondering if any of the bowls your ramen came in are reusable. Some look quite nice plastic. Really enjoyed this. Also, can these be ordered from Japan Amazon? None available on US Amazon. And what would I search for (the one in the bowl that was your favorite.) Thank you!

Can you do a show about the packaged yakisoba? the only one available to me is made by Sapporo Ichiban. i tried one years ago that had dried red ginger in the nori package. Yum!
It looks all so good! It's so hard to find this if you don't read japanese. When I'm in a store in Japan with a wall of ramen, I haven't the slightest idea what to purchase other than by the picture on the label. It's so frustrating when I watch the great reviews you have but I wont remember the packaging from the video saying what it is in Japanese is so different than being able to find something find it 😔😔 so frustrating but I appreciate you both !

Your 7-11's exotic on the ramen. My 7-Eleven has yakisoba America's #1 Noodle and Cup-O-Noodles. I like Thai Kitchen rice noodles and at sushi places veggie tempura udon or soba noodles best. Great video. Have a nice weekend :)

i love ramen, especially the good instant ones. the giant seafood cup noodle one is my fave. put in some dumplings, even semi frozen and let it all sit in the hot boiling water, is all yummy. :)

The Nakamoto ramen is delicious. I tried the instant version the other day, then checked out the shop in Shinjuku today. So spicy, but so good.
