One thing that is better than TGV is two TGVs XD I like how enthusiastic you are and that you haven't lost that spark in your eyes despite making content for years! Great work as usual.
Love you enthusiasm on both brands my friend! To have seen your watch collection change and evolve over the years definitely inspired me with my collection! One well get together and talk about our top 5 watches in our collections!!! Always a pleasure and never ever a chore!!!
LETS DO IT!!!!! I would love to chat top 5 with you. Just let me know in advance and we can set it up. But now the tricky bit, picking a top 5!!!!! 😅😅😅 Grazie grande! T.
The Nivada is the winner for me. I absolutely love Titanium watches! It is my favorite watch material. I also love meteorite dials. The combination of the two makes the perfect watch for me. I will have to seriously consider this one.
Anytime you release a new video I drop everything and RUN to watch it. Ive grown to absolutely love your sophisticated style and curated collection (I didn’t appreciate it 4-5 years ago when I started my own person journey). Your content has aged like fine wine and you always know how to push the boundaries in order to achieve excellence. Keep it up TGV you’re the best content creator on CZcams!
No Tudor Coke, No Grey GMT;) - that’s quite refreshing!!! Thanks lots, Sir TGV, for the unique perspective, as always! Have a great rest of the week ahead!
A friend of mine is going to buy a prx. I think it looks great, but the f77 is a different league. I suggest it to him without badmouthing the prx. At the end of the day. I like to see him happy with his watch.
Yes, yes, yes!! Killing it, TGV! My man has got his groove back. This is what the Urban Gentry is all about. The FC is absolutely gorgeous! The NG is really unique, and to be honest I think that the upgrade is totally warranted. So happy to see you finding another piece that excites you. Awesome video. Thank you, my friend. Onward and upward! Be well!
In a sea of Rolex-obsessed CZcams content, TGV stands out as a beacon for true watch enthusiasts. His original perspective and passion for uncovering lesser-known brands make him a true champion of the horological world.
I love Nivada Grenchen- I have on pre-order the CHRONOKING MECAQUARTZ BLACK. I think my tastes and desire for more quality watches started after I got through my Seiko and microbrand phase, and got my first Marathon GSAR, and the Squale 1521. Spending 21 years in the Army and deploying all over the world I understand having solid, reliable and dependable equipment is important. I have dealt with equipment from the lowest bidder forever and will not due that anymore. I recently just picked up one of my first true grail watches the Tudor Pelagos FXD, had I had this while on active duty it would have definitely been worn and be my tool watch of choice. My tastes have refined and grown over time, large in part to your channel, which caused me to start my own lol. Thanks TGV keep up the great work as always. Nice to always see what I can aspire to become.
I work at an office job, and whenever we do one of those “ice breakers” when we get a new team member, sometime’s they will ask everyone in the room, “what’s your biggest pet peeve?” My answer is always, “too many TLA’s”. Without fail, someone will ask, “what’s a TLA” in which I reply, “three letter acronyms”. It always gets a laugh, because if you’ve ever worked at a tech company they all use WAY too many TLAs.
I started follow you a round 2016 and first i didn't understund your channel but when i started understand more about watches i did get about what you all about. tnx for the years! and hope your all the best for comming years❤
Two great entries. The F77 is incredibly cool - great use of materials on a very cool design. Helps it stand out from the crowd of similarly inspired watches. My favorite watch of 2024 is Kuoe's Royal Smith 90-010, a charming take on a triple calendar at a very affordable price given the features.
I’ve learned so many things about watches, style and class… Thanks for what you do. I’ve been able to appreciate other watches without lusting after them with wild abandon. I do have a “grail” that I am saving for but I’ve learned to appreciate what I have. I miss Hugo, though. “Champers for everyone, dahhhling!”
Thanks for sharing TGV. Two beautiful and interesting watches. I love the Titanium F77 with that meteorite dial, fabulous! Totally understand why you wish to keep it. Looking forward to your next video. 😊
Just checked it out, Damm that’s prety impressive.. cutting a gem stone not only for the date window but for a moon phase too oof, great dimensions and original design. 👏
The F77, what a awesome watch for the money, the meteorite face has put it at the top of my wish list. An absolute beauty and the price, what’s not to love. 👍
another good vid TGV. love your enthusiasm. the F77 looks great.. i like the Meteorite and the Lapis too. and our wives don’t need to know absolutely everything 🤓
Good News Edit: Nivada has said on their IG that they’re working on a Rubber Strap for the F77. I’ve been anticipating that Nivada Meteorite for the last few months and drooling over it the last few weeks.
The titanium is definitely a winner, the lightness is ridiculous you’ll feel like it’s not there. Nothing highlights style like a classic timepiece design, subdued but with a spark character.
Love the positive energy and enthusiasm that really makes this enjoyable to watch. And of course all the little knowledgeable details and good editing. Thank you! (side note: last watch looks super cool ;-)
Hey. I'm Steve. I commented on your previous video saying titanium watches are bad because of premium variations etc. I genuinely just ordered this... it's beautiful. Also, I have a soft spot for meteorite dials. So yes I was correct, but if this is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.
Love FC designs, but I must admit, I am a little bit surprised by their success. The reason I say this is because, while 31 in-house calibres is impressive, the calibre in the moonphase in the video, along with many others, are ETA-based and not finished to a very high standard. Now, this is not a criticism, because they are obviously trying to keep the selling price at a certain level. But I would've thought that someone who is attracted to such classic designs as FC offers would also want a high degree of movement finish in their watch, which FC does not offer. However, it seems that hasn't been a hindrance to their success. Kudos to them! P. S. That Nivada Grenchen is very beautiful! Feels like a bit of a disservice to it to compare it to the PRX. Design-wise, it's far ahead in my opinion. And the meteorote dial is just the cherry on top. I would definitely pay triple the price of a PRX for it. It's easily 3 times the watch.
Exquisite as always TGV; my only complain with Frederique Constant applies to most other brands, I love dress watches but they barely exist with a screw down crown and 100m water resistance, as a physician I wash my hands like 80 times a day, and "splashed" my watches get, and pull-push crowns don't inspire confidence even if it says 100m, just because I know how violent we can be when scrubbing and taking off gloves and etc. Bottom line I also find it unacceptable that thousands of dollars don't buy such a thing and yet your good friend Marc puts out 11mm thick watches for a couple hundred bucks with such specs. Best regards, onwards and upwards.
That bigdate FC looks very nice. I prefer the indexes on the FC over the Glashutte aswell, much more legible. Also nice to see they do proper heat blued screws instead of coated.
I bought myself an FC Highlife last month for my birthday - it's the same blue as that Moonphase - and absolutely love it. The integrated bracelet has a quick release to add a rubber strap so it's quite versatile and not 100% married to the bracelet. It's quite thin and wears smaller than the size, and is definitely a new favorite of mine! I also love a great meteorite dial, but like them to be one of the strap monsters in my collection.
Blood in blood out is a great loophole I use when telling my wife that my collection is under control. "Honey I sold one of my g-shocks so I'm gonna buy this blancpain villeret triple calendar moonphase ok?"
My favorite release so far is the Zenith Defy Revival but hope to see another colorway. Maybe Zenith will do the Zenith Super sub sea diver chronograph. The vintage ones are awesome 👌 I like Zenith added a diver to the line-up
Great pick, will deffo try and get my hands on them when I can actually get borrow one for a decent amount of time to do a real review. I totally agree, an excellent addition, love the Defy line. Thank you, Best regards, TGV

Just discovering the world of watch collecting. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of vintage Bulova watches (1923 and 1936) and a 1945 Longines, which I love. Oh, and a '63 Avia that my lovely wife bought for me which I also love (my wife and the watch). I'm working up to purchasing my first 'modern' watch and have found your content invaluable and enormously fun to watch especially the shows with Marc, Long Island watches, which I have also subscribed to. Keep going with the independent content and spare a thought for the newbies when it comes to acronyms. Regards to Hugo All the best from Blighty, Keith
Great video, as usual! What are your thoughts on new Doxa Sub 200? Was always a fan of Sub design, but Sub 300 was too big. Seen that they released 39mm version earlier this month, tempted 😂
Thomaso, thank you for introducing me to Frederique Constant and Nivada. Especially from the value collector POV. Seems since JLC increased its prices by 40% on the same models (i.e. no horology enhancements) about 2 years ago, Rolex, AP, and Patek are raising prices to the stratosphere (and unobtainium) because they can. Seems they don't want to make sports steel tool watches for everyday use.
Interesting video. I have pared my collection to 14270, Grand Seiko GMT, 34mm vintage Tudor and G shock. End of collection, all superfluous pieces gone including 14060 just too herd like for me. The four I have left get me through everything from formal to skiing and diving. Great work tov
Hallo TGV ! I know you got very angry when you sent 2 expensive watches to service and after that said you would sell most of your collection and maybe only have 3 watches ! You make so fucking good videos that I almost cry ! It is like proff television and I hope you never stop being a watch youtuber !
Lovely content, I’m quite interested in bang for buck, I’m lucky enough to have bought multiple Rolexes in the late 90s, but I am interested in diversifying without going crazy in that 1-4K range. Pre-loved underrated models too. Thanks
Before you do, watch my several videos on it. I'm not saying don't buy it, just be aware of what you are getting yourself into. Thank you and I hope whatever you decide, you enjoy it, that is all that counts. Best regards, TGV
I was excited by the F77 in Titanium and Lapis lazuli. Then when I went to the website I remembered these are only 37mm case size AND only the meteor dial comes in Titanium! 😢 So? Bummed! 😢

Hi TGV just wanted to tell you that I just bought the Squale Sub39 SuperBlue! I just wanted to thank you for introducing the brand to me. I can’t even describe how much you get for your money with Squale! Awesome Video as well Best Regards Elias
Great classic unboxing and knife check! I'm original Gentry (or so I claim) and I enjoy the reviews and the drumrolls, of course. I've built a collection of knives. It would be cool to see an episode on collectible knives!
Thanks Tarun, as always great review, very balanced and informative. I’d have liked to have listened to these but a year too late……and hey stop dissing my Proac DB1s! just cause Proac won’t let you review them😂
What a cracking piece that Nivada. I think would look better with a lighter grey tone as you can appreciate more the meteorite pattern at first sight but just my opinion. I love the Pam inspired as well 👌🏼👌🏼
Ciao Hallo Tristano good new watches informations Friederik Costantin looks a nice good watch, on these few days I put my hands on Eberhard Tazio Nuvolari nice crono complete with his case original bracelet and one extra straps original Eberhard. Stay well and a warm Ciao from Rome Italy
So, you really can't let the prx go.... it's living rent free in your head my friend 😅😅, but your beloved F77 is a lovely watch and it's far superior to the humble prx, but there is a very good reason for this, the F77 is £1354 in the UK and no doubt there's shipping on top, the prx 80, is £610, how do you compare these two, when there's a lot of money separating them..... anyway I'm off out today wearing my prx 80 on its rubber strap....😅👍👍
Great video TGV, and I love that F77! Super cool design and history. I’m not sure if it’s because of the crystal, but the lume plot looks a bit cockeyed at the 6 😳 11:56
Agreed. Marker at 6 looks to slant to the left doesn’t it!? And doesn’t align with the tiny circle lume plot beneath. Let’s hope it’s just a light distortion because it is shocking otherwise…
@@KeepingWatchUK 100%, it looks way off to the right. For nearly $2k I wouldn’t expect an issue to that degree. I’m really not nit picky about alignment issues, but this one looks pretty bad 😂
I would love your opinion on the new citizen NJ0180 - I think it’s a perfect video for talking about citizens new challenge to the position of both Seiko and Tissot - playing into their 8 series as well. And as always just a ruthless take from our favorite gentleman 😉
Hi TGV, hope you’re good. I press like before I’ve even watched it 😂😂. You hived my mind with a vid about a blue tag carrera a couple of weeks ago and now I can’t get the thing out of my mind 🎉 Great choice with the nivada .

Good video
Waiting for the depth master in titanium 😮
Genius idea! 🤞🤞🤞 Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
I would love your opinion on the new citizen NJ0180 - I think it’s a perfect video for talking about citizens new challenge to the position of both Seiko and Tissot - playing into their 8 series as well. And as always just a ruthless take from our favorite gentleman 😉
Hi TGV, hope you’re good. I press like before I’ve even watched it 😂😂.
You hived my mind with a vid about a blue tag carrera a couple of weeks ago and now I can’t get the thing out of my mind 🎉
Great choice with the nivada .
Would definitely be interested in buying your blue F77 👀
