The Midwest Ride-In is the world's largest vintage and classic snowmobile event. If you love snowmobiling, the Midwest Ride-In belongs on your bucket list.
The Midwest Ride-In (formerly the Waconia Ride-In) takes place on the last weekend in January at ERX Motorpark in Elk River, Minnesota.
The event features a trail ride, judged show, swap meet, old school snocross race and much more. Bring your sleds for a fun day of riding with family and friends and check out some amazing vintage and classic snowmobiles.
In this video, we take a flashback to the 2023 "Triple Wars" Midwest Ride-In, and Valdi Stefanson takes us around the event to check out some amazing collector sleds, including a coveted PDC racer. We'll see some beautiful restored Hirth Honker, Kohler, and Rupp triple cylinder engines, as well as Arctic Cat and Boa Ski coffin racers, a collection of 1965 Lil' Andy snowmobiles, an antique 1956 Polaris snow machine and much more.
Don't miss the 2024 Midwest Ride-In, Jan. 26 and 27 at ERX - www.mwvss.com/.

Only thing we are doing in midwest is looking at grass!!
Think snow!
it's Crazy, and so unfortunate...
Have to go farther North
@@limbandtreeremoval Actually, they will get more to the south this "winter". Sadly, we in Wisconsin will have pretty much nothing to ride on this year.
Basically. Around 2 or 3 inches in my area. About an hour north there's Around 5 inches but enough in the ditches to play
The main reason I gave up on sleds. We definitely don’t get the amount of snow we used to get in the 70’s - 90’s even early 2000’s. And then if we did get some fairly decent snow the trails would be beat to hell by the end of the weekend.
Valdi is such a character. Haha! What a passion and knowledge on the topic!
Valdi is the best!
Same in Northern Wisconsin, everyone holding their breath about the lack of snow.
Wish I lived closer! ...
It's worth the journey! We hope to see you there some day.
Cool sleds. Love em.
That's awesome that you got Valdi on the video!
Of course! Wouldn't be the Midwest Ride-In without Valdi!
Great event.
Fingers crossed this event happens this year! Been looking forward to it
The date is set for Jan 26-27, 2024!
Gene Benson their bet he is excellent 😊
Would love to go to that show
We'd love to see you there!
4:42 someone got too close to that hugger it sounds like.
I'm 31 and my first snowmobile was a 71 sno jet 292 star jet may it rest in piece side not I was 4 when I get it and I was 7 when my dad sold it
Where would it be held at?
ERX in Elk River, Minnesota. We better have snow by January, but they do have snowmaking there.
Where is this event held?
ERX Motor Park in Elk River, MN.
Only thing i kinda disagree with is this IS NOT a cheap hobby. Especially when you start wanting to go faster😂😂
Amen to that. We burnt through money to the tune of ten times the original price of a 40 year old 340 machine just trying to drag race in 340 trail classes in little barn yard events. But I have no regrets. The good times I spent with my daughter driving were well worth it. 👍
only one alpine
My old man had one when I was a kid in the 70's. Had a single ski up front and a little trailer that was equipped with leaf spring shocks. Lol think top speed was maybe 15 25.
@@DavidSmith-tu1nd did it have the elan hood?
@@kollinspencer847
I have pictures of it. Big round front nose Cone. Looked like a scoop if yellow ice cream. Think it was a 398cc fan cooled engine. I think it had a dual track if I remember correctly
@@DavidSmith-tu1nd yeah alpines have two tracks and one ski did it have two headlights? and two cylinders? thats the super alpine
@@kollinspencer847
Yeah I remember it had two cylinders. It also had a yellow steel skidoo tilt trailer. My Dad sold it to a coworker in 86. There is one of these Alpines on top of a roof in Kremmling Colorado. It's a decoration. Lol.
No Yamaha Srx?
We'll try to catch one for you this winter.
Hahaha. She said greasy triples 😂
I heard that and instantly thought "oh ya she's cool"😂
