- BMW left a lot on the table with these new M cars! The M2, M3, and M4 all perform above their stated power. Unfortunately, unlocking the ECU for a custom tune is very expensive. That's where our VR Tuned Tuning Box comes in! After an easy install you instantly get more power out of the S58!

Man that exhaust tip fitment looks rough, those tips stick out waaaay too far
Good info!
M2 (453 hp/406 lb-ft) turbos puts out 17.4 psi boost stock. M3/M4 (473 hp/406 lb-ft) turbo puts out 18.9 psi stock. M3/M4 (503 hp/479 lb-ft) turbos put out 24.7 psi stock. Engine is detuned.

is the 522 hp to the wheels or crank?
C5 license plate for the win 🤛🏼
DO IT FOR DALE BROTHER
G80 & G82 make same power. The difference is Comp vs. Non-Comp. You are right in that the tune on the G87 is different.
None of the hardware components on the S58 are different.
Good to know!
Does that tuning box void your warranty?
It does not!
Great info!! Thank you as an owner of a 2024 Manual M2😊
What wheels are those?
Those are our VR Forged D09 in Satin Bronze!
Very sick! Are they varying in terms of concave or is it generally the same level of concave on every size? Also, are these 20’s?
I disagree with the trim line statement. the m2 is detuned from the factory because its not meant to be a straight line car. bmw dont care about qtr mile times, they care about balance and the demographic. us car guys need to stop thinking that these car manufacturers design cars for extreme performance, they design them to mass produce and make a profit. Plus smaller chassis needs less power. The m3 m4 are low key heavy that's why they have more power. if you want an m3 you get an m3, if you want an m4 you get an m4. An M car is an M car. they dont compete with each other they compete with the other manufacturers cars in that class, its about buyer preference if you want a sport coupe its the g87, if you want something comfotable and easy to drive its g80 or g82. I bet if you line them all up they run pretty even number with each other even with the m2cs dme detuned. the M2cs is going to hold its value better at the end of the day based off of the F models. m2 cs's are m5 prices. you can get a good f80 or f82 for almost half the price of an f87cs.
Thats a good point! There are a ton of variables to go along.
You make some good points. Important to note that the g87 is basically just as heavy as the g82. They detuned it because it would make no sense to be just as fast as the the g80/82. But yes these are not meant to drag cars. They need to appeal to the masses and be great daily drivers.
@@MrJsevo29 hmmm. 🤔. Then I’d just go with the 82. I do think the 87 will be more valuable over time though. What are the production numbers I wonder.
@nigelportwood956 yeah that's exactly why they detune it. Would cannibalize sales of the more expensive model. Would much harder to shell out extra money for 80/82 if the 87 was just as quick. As for which will be worth more? We shall see!
The M2 weighs as much as the M3/M4.
I hope I can earn enough money to sell my car and buy a G87 M2 someday.
Make a plan and stay focused. It can happen, I did it.
Maybe I missed it is this on 93 ?
If they aren’t putting premium gas I would be very surprised… only a dummy buys an M2 and puts 87 in it.
@@ChrisDavis333 yea buts also could be e30 e70 different mixtures. Thats the point of the question. 91 is the minimum for this car from the factory.
The M2 was on 91! Unfortunately 93 isn't readily available here in Arizona.
@@vivid_racing booo Arizona!!!! What about E85?
How much of a power increase would you see with the tune with 93 vs 91 octane?
Why you run them on fifth gear must be on six gear
Fifth gear is the 1:1 gear ratio!
@@vivid_racingif it’s manual yes but all i can find that 6th is the 1 to 1 ratio
Dudes right...6th is the 1:1 on the auto trans. No big deal though....@@vivid_racing
