It's pretty awesome to get the perspective of someone who is not very familiar with the original FF7 and all of the Cloud and Zack stuff. Going from Remake to CC does seem like a great way to get to know Zack (and Sephiroth.) I'm glad that you gave him the chance to tell his story.

And I DEFINITELY cried back in the 2000s on the PSP during that final fight. Rebirth is gonna be incredible.
I played crisis core for the first time just a week ago. i am now starting ff7 remake after watching advent children in theatres last night. for my current perspective, Zack is the protagonist and Cloud is picking up his journey. im excited to keep playing

So nice to hear you enjoyed Crisis Core. I hear it get so much undeserved hate. It has issues, yea, but it's nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
Also, your transition of calling Zack, Discount Cloud, to liking his character is beautiful, lol.

I somehow missed this upload but got around to it today and hope you do one for OG 7 and/or Advent Children since I think you said you finally got around to it right before Rebirth. Genesis is the one character I don't think I've seen anyone get attacked for hating, every time there's a great scene or chapter he has to wander in and start quoting Loveless. Also something lost in translation: Hollander, the scientist who helps Genesis, is meant to be Angeal's real dad but he's a deadbeat who gave up his son so that's why he seems to transform similarly near the end.
That "Discount Cloud" comment was funny.
I know Zack has significance in Rebirth, I just call him discount cloud like an ignorant jim
