Thanks, Eric. For me, this is the best song I've heard in the last 5 years. I can't explain why. It just resonates with me. I like these ladies so much, that I flew halfway across the country just to see them live. And it was worth it.
    The pronunciation was fine.

Great song from one of the best bands in the world right now IMO. Their 3rd album comes out in January. Cant wait to hear it all.

2nd single from the 2nd album, Seize the Fate. Video came out June 2022, album last December. I'm with you, I was totally impressed when I saw Tamu playing drums in heels. And, iirc , lead singer Mayu was pregnant here. Another song from this album, Zen, just recently had an official live released.

To think Saki and Miyako from Lovebites are friends. And Miyako and Mayu are new fishing buddies.

You were close on the song title, 'Adabana' (ah-dah-bah-nah).
The band name is Nemophila (neh-moh-fee-rah).
The word "adabana" refers to a flower which doesn't bear fruit, or something that fails to live up to its fullest potential.
The lyrics are pretty deep. It's worth watching with closed captions turned on for an English translation.
The band itself is named after a kind of flower with five petals.

For me it's the only group that bears comparison, instrument by instrument, with the fabulous young women of Lovebites.

Two of the very best bands going, for sure.

One of their greatest songs in my opinion. The doom part in the middle before the solo...just yummy!

Thank you Eric for another amazing reaction. This band does not disappoint. I saw them on there US tour and for real it was one of the loudest and most punishing shows I have ever seen. You felt every instrument and Mayu was incredible. That said even with that punishing wall of sound I loved every second of it. This is one of those bands that just is next level live. A side note I actually got the opportunity to interview them before they announced there US tour and you would never believe that the woman I spoke to were this awesome of a band. They were sweet and very humble. They deserve all the success that I am sure they will get. I will concur with one of the comments Zen live is amazing. Thank you for all you do and I can not wait for your next Nemophila reaction. Peace from NYC

Top-3 track form me. NEMOPHILA loves to shock us with the gap that a cute "fluffy" girl band can play hard like hell...that's their words 🤘😄🤘 🌸✨️🌠

Great Sponge reference; love that song. I hear what you're saying about the riff comparison in terms of their role as an ear-worm. Nemophila is great at those. I also feel like when I hear their solos they seem so natural. Sort of like they just noticed that the notes were there instead of composing them. Like a sculptor seeing the shape that was already in the rock and just bringing it out. Takes real talent to make it seem easy like that. Oh... and great cat!

The thing that's confused me with your assessment of both this and Oiran, would be neither contains any slap bass from Haraguchi-san and I really don't hear any traces of RHCP in their sound (Infectious Grooves is more plausible). It's all plectrum 5 string bass in the thrash metal vein of things for these two songs.
Whilst there are a few times when she does play slap in Nemophila's back catalogue (the intro of Rollin' Rollin' from their first full album being the most blatant example), for the most part she focuses more on reinforcing the low end 7 string guitar riffage with her playing.

Phenomenal performance. Was the emphasis more on the crazy or talented to drum in stilettos?

ADABANA is perhaps their best song yet. ADABANA means “flower.” Specifically a flower that bears no fruit, or so I am told, like the chrysanthemums that feature so prominently in the video. HAZUKI says certain elements in the video highlight the concept of something that has no value other than being beautiful: her overhand approach to two-handed tapping does not make the music sound better, and is not particularly difficult to do, but it looks cool; and MURATA TAMU, of course does not normally wear platform boots while playing double bass drums, but every reactor who watches this video comments on it. This is also their only video that uses slow motion, another element that serves only to look cool.
All the “a”s in ADABANA have the same sound, “papa, mama, Adabana.”
Translated lyrics are in the CC. The last line is “We are beautiful people. “

Damn! I got a headache halfway through the track! Couldn't listen to the end. Sorry. Treble was way too far open, so it's not too well mixed for my ears. Riff was great though, as well as the screams.
