I was 13B in 2013 and it was nothing like that. We had 4 to a room .. latreens were on bottom floor... old and out dated at the west end of the base by the motorpools. Our AIT was just as strict as basic training and much Much more P.T. we had about 18-20 mandatory formations a day... We had to clean weapons on all of our free time. Or go to the motorpool and clean the guns and humvees. No phones mostly because we were in trouble... we occasionally got weekend off but most time we messed that up. Got up at 0500 and did P.T till 0730 then we would go to chow then we would come back and maybe do a couple hour class and then go to motorpool till chow again at 1200 then come back and work cleaning sidewalks and bagging leaves and stuff... good times with good guys... some of them are dead now... never will forget them
