I personally have nothing but GOOD things to say about Big Tex!! I bought a brand new 70DM 18 foot, steel deck car trailer in 2003. Myself (and everyone I have ever loaned it to) have over loaded the shit out of it for 20 years now and there is not one single broken weld on this trailer! Yes, I have replaced wheel bearings multiple times and both axles at least once but it just keeps going! It literally just needs 7k axles. Love this little trailer.

Went through a ton of online research to make sure my tractor would balance correctly and tilt one of these down. A lot of tilt trailers have the axles too far forward. Ended up with a Diamond C HDT. Works perfect.

How low to the ground is it? Thanks for watching

@@howardthemechanicbubba5376 It depends I think, I just picked up a 2022 Diamond-C HDT and apparently it has 4" drop axles which are standard but apparently they do also install straight axles. Not sure if that makes any difference with ground clearance but just my .02 cents

🤣 the end. I got a big tex up the road. I'd really like to get a dump trailer. I wish these tilt trailers could tilt as much as a dump trailer.

If I didn’t have a shredder to haul, I’d buy a good dump trailer to haul equipment. Generally higher off the ground.

I agree with you on the "drive over" fenders. If you have to drive over the fenders you need a deckover trailer.

Why not? Common term used in Texas.

@@alexmuela92 so is Kleenex. That's how it became the colloquial nomenclature for facial tissue, by being the brand so ubiquitous as to become synonymous with the overall product. Just like bush hog being an early innovator and major manufacturer of brush cutters with a brand name that's descriptive and genuine.
