Thanks for the review! Don't be fooled by the small footprint. These amplifiers are focused on sound quality and exceeding rated power!
AudioControl anytime! This little amp is killer
just noticed your video...and the DD-1 today! thanks my bro!!! edit: the AMM-1 just showed up (still watching :D)
No, thank you come getting these awesome tools to market! Appreciate what you do for the community man.
Nice ultra small footprint amp solution for the everyday driver where space is at a premium.
AudioControl has always delivered excellent quality gear. Great demo and review!
MSH68 Thanks Mark!
I just picked up a Audiocontrol Three.2 EQ yesterday and yet to put it in, but glad to see they make decent products.
SidewaysInTraffic for sure!
@david carter Haha true true. I'm trading in my old zap board for something new so I'll see.
I think this is the amp I'm going to buy. Just a heads up, Best Buy has it for $199 right now. Big D Wiz is how I found this channel.
Lance DUB-U that’s a steal! Thanks for watching
Nice demo! Loves me some AudioControl so much I just ordered a D6.1200 DSP amp and some JL Audio C5 woofers/tweeters and a little Kicker CompRT single 10" enclosure. Snatched up a Kenwood DMX906S/Maestro ADS MRR for the company Ford Transit I seem to live in. Tired of the stock crap sound. The AudioControl DSP amp should do the trick bridging outputs 5&6 for the lil' subwoofer. Looking forward to the install and getting back on the road.
Boyd Lamb oh man I’m jealous!! That 6 channel looks 🔥🔥🔥
that's one tiny amp audio control makes good stuff only thing I would change is I would trade the Phillips set screws for hex key that's just me. Great video Rob!👍
eric dudley I’m with you on that!
Just purchased this amp at a online store black Friday sale.. I'm happy I know total wattage output! I'm stoked! I'm going to pair this amp with my JL Audio 10tw1-2, micro sub.
One thing I have been wanting to find Mr. HiFi Vega, is an amp Dyno test on JL Audio jx400/4D. I know it's an old amp, but no one had a Dyno video on it. I don't need a video, BUT if you would happen to have some numbers for that particular amp, that would be Rock! Thanks for this video!
Gee S That’s gonna be a sweet set up! You should be happy with it. I’m always up to test some budget amps it’s just a matter of what I can get my hands on.
@@HifiVega, thanks for getting back. A lot of others do not, not even to return smack, if it gets talked to them! 😂
Gee S yeah man! I enjoy chopping it up with the community when I can.
Hey man great video! I actually just bought this amp off of you on eBay! Excited to get it installed
Awesome man! I got it out today. If I would have known you were a viewer I would thrown a few stickers in there
HifiVega all good! Thanks!
Awesome video I was interested in getting a couple PBR amps but kind of spooked by the heating issues I've seen posted I think you've found my amp
David Greggs I think you’d be happy with one for sure
Another great video from my boy Hifi .YES Audio Control reppiN The Pacific Northwest with great equipment Solid amp exceeds its ratings You get what you pay in this case it's TOP shelf
Aaron Abrahamson Thanks!
I'll take 350 AudioControl watts over 500 Power Acoustic, Boss, Lanzar.ect, ect watts all day long.
Michael Hollon me too
Great video #HIFIVEGA
You putting it in your SUV
Seth probably not, but if I could get my hands on their 6 channel... 😉
Thanks for the review, I just grabbed one of these to add a subwoofer to a stock system, we’ll see how it holds up. I can’t get over the size!
FliCarGuy you’ll be happy with that purchase for sure!
HifiVega it was good to see it takes 4 gauge no problem, I thought I’d have to use 8
Love your videos, foo! Keep smashin fo yo rations!
jason rose 🔊🔊👍🏼👍🏼
I remember when a crossover or any of the features in there would have a bigger footprint than the whole package has.
bassmansoundking99 me too!
Nice little amp! But I wish that it has a bass knob or at least a port to have one.
Miles Bautista it works with the audio control bass knob sold separately tho
Awesome video!
Justin Gardner thank you!
I have this amp powering a JL Audio 8W1v3-4 "open air" on the rear deck and was wondering if this could still effectively run a small 10" box if I decided to add one to the system?
Thats a nifty gizmo
Baby amp do do do do baby amp do do do
Where did you have the crossover set? I’m struggling with this.
Uhhh did the fuse blow during the 2 ohm test? There was a spark on the fuse and the power shut off on the amp...
Good eye. I was thinking "Wow that 37ams and the fuse didn't go, something not right", then I saw your comment re-watched it. Yep, it blew.
Hey bro my zapco I just got has that sensing signal on it too. Its if you want it to come on and off with the car I believe. Says OEM integration
This is actually the first amp I’ve had with that feature believe it or not
@@HifiVega lol yea the zapco is the first one with that feature as well.
349 watts at 37.7 amps seems amazing to me. Is that typical these days for 300+ watt amps? That seem super efficient.
craftchest that’s about 64% efficient @2ohm which is pretty solid if you ask me.
37.7x14.4= 542.88
349/542 = .64
It is a cheap clamp meter so being 100% accurate is unlikely, but it should be a good approximation.
Oh yea, i realize that. I am just use to seeing people show dyno test with like 250 amps being pulled and I like that three alternators lol
craftchest yeah I stay away from those big amps lol
Holy moly. That thing is tiny. I have a 2100 thats 1.5x wider and 2x longer. Wow
Ehren Krause itty bitty
I see you're using the 2 outer most speaker terminals, but i see no mention of running it like this in the in the manual. I'm currently running one 2ohm speaker off the right set of terminals like it's pictured in the manual. Am I running it at half its capability?
No you’re ok you can run it either way because the outputs are already internally bridged. It was just easier for my set up to have more separation
Hi,
did a 12 AWG wire fit? i have a D-6.1200 and planning to hook a 400 rms @4ohms sub to the 5/6 channel (bridged).
if it fit, then i can avoid buying the Lc1.800.
Yea you can fit 12ga even tho it looks like it might not.
Any chance you have done or will do the D-6.1200 dyno test?
Maybe at some point, but Dean has one in the shop I bet he’s might do it soon
Could you do a dyno on a audiocontrol lc-1200.6 or lc-800.4? Nobody did that yet on that amp.
Daniel Castiglione I’d love to get my hands on either of those amps, but the 1200.6 most of all! If I do get either one I will most definitely Dyno them
Was just looking at this little amp the other day. What does the fixed subsonic filter mean?
Random Tube means it’s not adjustable you basically have to choose depending on what setting are available from the factory
@@HifiVega I was concerned that it wouldn't play really low notes
The subsonic is fixed at 24hz...
any chance that you have a 2.300 handy to test as well?
Nuts N’ Bolts unfortunately not... I expect it’ll do rated plus some though
@@HifiVega thanks for the reply!
awesome. Thing is tiny
Ripkon tiny in form, but big in performance!
What 18"?
Kicker700 that’s a B52 SP-1804
This channel could cure a severe case of insomnia... but its cool sometimes too... lol
