    This young man shown to the Singapore society everyone has an opportunity, it is whether we want to strive to seize that opportunity and be who we want to be.

    LOL what kind of elitist BS is this? So because he was in the normal class in Secondary school. Expectations were he would be a nobody? The doctor who went to secondary 5?! Like oh my god. it's a miracle .

      Straits Times probably means no harm and is trying to encourage people, but that title is so misleading, makes it sound like Sec 5 is a bad position to be in.

    • @jen5138
      @jen5138 Před 3 lety +5

      Exactly, he went to sec 5 not pathlight. As if a normal acad student can't do well and become a Dr. Sec 5 students take the same paper as express students. Only a year later. Sheesh.

      When I read the title and was thinking the same as u.. Are they trying to say only express students can be doctors??

    Congratulations Doc! I'm a believer in the need for failure to be practically and effectively successful. Academic success is not enough and have the inclination of creating robotic practitioners. Well done! We need more like you👏👏👏.

      @jinzhipei7583 Před 3 lety +2

      @@alexfreakie6728yes. Luckily so. If not, he may be condemned. In our society, people are judged by the schools they attend, the cars they drive, the place they live in. So what if a person is helpful or filial? There is little value attached to that
