Guys, check out the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board - EHCB twitter page and look what they posted on 23rd of June. Vezenkov was on a panel with Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković. Vezenkov's trade to Toronto was announced a week after this was posted. Coincidence? I think not. If there is anyone that can unlock Sasha's full potential in the NBA it's coach Darko! Besides, Olympiacos GM Nikos Lepeniotis came out a few days ago and said: “Sasha Vezenkov is a player of the Toronto Raptors”.

That comment on Fajardo... As a Filipino who have not watched PBA in the longest time, I only saw Fajardo play for the first time in the 2014 World Cup. He was then normal-built 24-year-old guy who just came in to the league. I was actually surprised during the game against Greece when he's the only guy from Gilas that went toe-to-toe against the bigs of Greece and their physicality, not even Blatche can.
I guess growing up in a farm, doing manual labor and routinely carrying sacks(50 kg) of rice like it's nothing during off-season, help him.

The Gilas Pilipinas team is now thriving and just did the upset against Latvia because they finally got the perfect coach for them, Coach Tim Cone, the GOAT coach of Philippine basketball. After all of the losses, issues and disappointments done by the PH basketball association and incompetence of the former coach, we are now finally on top of the best Asian basketball teams right now.

Because of the previous bad coach, now people call it a miracle. What a joke. If only Coach Tim had been the coach back then, the Philippines would've achieved a tremendous feat. Even Coach Tim won't admit that the previous coach was so bad. That's the reason why we still have a long way to go. However, definitely not in every possession they manage to settle into it and sometimes it looks more chaotic than set. Of course the Luka Dončić look-a-like would pick Slovenia. 😅 You have never been in the same room together. Just saying.
Slovenia wasn't good against New Zealand. They were getting eliminated by Half Time, and at one point it seemed realistic that New Zealand might advance.
Prepelić was the difference maker, and Nebo helped. The rest of them, I am not impressed with any of them.

Its the new Philippine coach that made the difference. (New in a sense, coach Tim Cone just took over the reigns as head coach of the Philippine team) His emphasizes on the T-offence which many said is archaic but he just brought it to a new level. He will have his team do zone defense, if necessary to force opponents to shoot from the arc and hopefully miss a lot, as they plug to seal the penetration lane. The team has lots of surprise adjustments that keep the opponents guessing the Gilas game plan and this confusion makes the opponents perform poorly and in the end, they just give up.

I guess your comments about PH play style was incorrect. Philippines play street ball type of game under Coach Reyes Dribble Drive Offense, and one on one defense, That's the only play they had for more than 2 decades. Which resulted to hate from PH fans. We're Just happy they manage to get a capable coach , under Coach Tim now we won gold in Asia, manage to qualify for the Olympic semis. That's just shows what's truly wrong which was now Corrected.

Haven't heard anything from Toronto about letting go of Vezenkov. He's still under contract with Toronto for this season with a team option for next season. Toronto would need to either waive Sasha or both parties agree to a buyout before he could sign with Olympiacos. He could try to get the FIBA's letter of clearance, but that's unlikely with him still under contract with Toronto.
Buyout seems most likely, but he'd have to give up his whole salary for Toronto to consider it.

Im glad Brazil won! Aside from Teamwork of players and coaching staff, the latter especially the Head Coach did their assignment was able to know and understand the Triangle offense which was originally played by Chicago Bulls (mastered by Phil Jackson the Coach)in the likes of Micheal Jordan, Pippen, Steve Kerr and eventually Lakers which was done by Kobi, Oneal (surprisingly didnt know Tim Cone is one of the few coaches who is still use Triangle offense). Kuddos to the coaching staff. Im surprise given your Channel was Basket News obviously about Basketball you don’t have any idea what system the coach and the players in the Philippines were doing. The Coach of Brazil was the only one who knew about it knows it understands it. Im quoting him “Its a highly technical system which takes time to learn and execute. Steve Kerr even complained to Tim Cone when they had a conversation about the triangle that he still knows how to play the system but is having a hard time teaching it to his team because the players cant follow and execute it. Same goes with the Philippine team they came from different teams and leagues they have yet mastered the triangle offense unless you have been a player under tim cones wings. You have to have a high basketball IQ to be able to execute it and the coach of Brazil knows that.

Urbonus nice comment about the rules missing from European basketball and the absence of salary cap. Very strange that you remembered this at a point where Olympiakos is trying to raise their budget and become like all other title contenders. I am surprised that Barcelona, Madrid, Panathinaikos, CCSKA in the past where all right for you with their huge budgets.
I am also surprised that Olympiakos gave you the oppprtunity to speak about teams without emotion that finally they make moves only to win. Really? Is Olympiacos your example for this situation? A team which retains a steady core now for 4 years with middle budget contracts. Is this your goto team to complain about Euroleague teams missing emotion? Pao's situation was ok for you? Think again please about Olympiacos and what this team stands for. you really didn't mention anything about Pao offering Sasha 1,5 million per yean more that what Olympiacos is offering. Are you questioning yourself why Sasha rejected this huge offer? Does this have to anything with emotion? Don't you think?
You should also take into account that Sasha has a greek passport. Getting back Sasha is a no brainer for Olympiacos only for this reason alone.

Thats the big reason I root for Greece. He was passed to the team all of the humbleness and consideration. And of course self confidence. Thats a thing that itoudis didnt manage to pass them. Oly has played in three consecutive f4s, having the tenth ( or even lower) budget in the Euro league. Based on teamwork, hard defence and the unique offense playstyle of his coach. Given the opportunity Oly lands the best (or one of the best) pf in the league and a player who is considered a part of Oly family. And suddenly there are no rules? Teams spend too much without control leading to unfair competition? Alec Peters is unhappy? Life is not fair? Ok.

The narrative on paper was, Philippines and Cameroon with both 0-2 in the group stages.
But in the group stage, Cameroon rolled Basil and Philippines rolled Latvia.

They were not satisfied with their lead and the only option for then to get rid of Kai Sotto is to injure him on a certain part of his body which if Georgia got lucky fractured the lowest part of the rib which could travel internally and eventually puncturing internal organs especially the lungs. You could feel and see the former NBA Coach’s guilt while talking in the Press Conference. An NBA player’s reputation was tarnished because of the attempt to dunk the ball in the opponent’s ring. That is so lame.
