One tip I think is important to mention is to reactivate w for the knockup instead of auto attacking for the knockup. If you Auto attack to knock them up your autoattack would be on cooldown where as if you press w your auto attack will still be up and you could immediately auto + q for the auto reset.
Also more range. Only works when you're not in minions though.

@@LoLDobby 1.28 I don't know if you noticed but he knock up the minions beside Sylas, that triggered a weaker knock back on Sylas but He can knock up Sylas again faster without needing to wait for the cooldown on Sylas which takes 8 seconds

I always win when I Play her sup. Rek is just so versatile, there was even a time I played her mid too

Ren can deal with a lot of squishy matchups since he can burst on his own. Irelia is Irelia being Irelia like always. Jax is actually really good this season against a lot of popular top laners.

I broke a M7 teemo top with my no mastery Rek'sai ha ha ha!. After the first 4 kills, he just had enough and started to tower dive feed.

Something important that isn't mentioned (I believe?) in this video is that this player uses Rek's W to maximum effectiveness early game. Rek W only fully knockups one target and semi-knockups everything else in range. The knockup cooldown/immunity is then added ONLY on the main target.
Basically, Rek W hits a minion as the main target while the enemy champion is in range (for semi-knockup), so he can later engage with the full knockup on the enemy champion. Either way great video!

the thing that I like about this video even more that I started playing it mid as an assassin mid from a while ago and it was even more broken aginst squishes and mele champs...fast wave clear and can roam much effective than talon...Rek'sai is a life
Even tho im in low elo, it is quite surprising that not a single player managed to beat me in mid lane while im playing rek'sai. Since most of the matchups are against zeds, it is just so easy to dominate the lane against some of the people that have never encountered rek'sai in mid lane
I recommend prowlers claw beacause you can’t always ingage with flash since it takes a long time to recharge, prowlers claw can have the same effect as flash but it’s even better because you gain 15% more damage on the target you grabbed

@@SpringAutumn2001 He is right on this one tho atleast after the patched of the removed dash from stridebreaker. In the whole video he used stride to get bonus dash to close the distance for knock up. Now without the dash, stride is really not usefull for reksai unless you want the MS, so prowler is the option if you want to dash to enemies.

@@SpringAutumn2001 Still same asnwer, top or not in the video itself the guy who did top reksai used stridebreaker only to close gaps with the dash and slow and now cus stridebreaker doesnt have dash reksai has better chances to catch up to people with prowler instead.

This already my pocket pick and i love it, so easy to apply pressure on the enemy toplaner and has great mobility in lane if shehas any tunneles layed down

Here we go again, lol. Surprisingly I've actually seen Rek top in a ranked game once. It was a few years ago and she was playing against my buddy on Singed. It worked... fine, she was mostly winning trades and sustaining back with passive but she couldn't really kill him that much and the game ended up depending on the other players. From that game it looked like she is a different type of Renekton in lane (tons of early damage and engage, but falls of late), which seems kind of accurate.
Generally speaking, these melee junglers in toplane tent to be very early game focused, which makes sense since they're also early game champions in the jungle. These kinds of picks have always been great in high elo Korea due to the pace of the games there. That's not true for most other elos though, which is why I feel kind of weird about Lee's popularity too. Cus yeah, they can cheese you out early, but if you just play safe and patient and wait for your time, they will eventually throw and fall off while you offer more in teamfights. KR players don't throw leads though, they instead use them to the best possible efficiency, so for them these picks that get them ahead are absolutely the best. This is why I'd ask all solo queue players to take these picks with a grain of salt, although they could still easily bring results for someone experienced.
Anyways, I'm curious to see where Rek'Sai will end up. Lee Sin became extremely popular while Xin stayed in the gutter, so I wonder what fate toplane Rek'Sai has. I certainly hope it doesn't get too popular cus I don't want a 10/0 Rek'Sai with Stridebreaker running me down from across multiple screens. There's a reason why Camille is the only toplaner really allowed to do that.
The first music track absolutely slaps btw. It's the first time I've heard it, but it sounds real epic, and I like it! Pretty cool choice to put in the background while this primal void monster tears all kinds of fighters apart, lol (I love void designs, Riot please make more).

actully i was playing rek'sai lane but it was mid lane and after the dirk i was looking for romes when i had my ult on bot cuz there super easry to kill

Rek'Sai has the same characteristic with Riven: both of them finish their combo too quickly
The difference between them is that Rek'Sai has a long dash while Riven has 4 small dashes
I tried Rek Top back in S9, when she wasn't half as strong
Back then, there was no Qing towers, no Stridebreaker, HoB was weaker, her R was dodgable and itemization was different, you could either go for a lethality build (Bruiser items including edge of night and yoummu) or a full bruiser build (BC, Titanic, Sterak, Deadmans Visage, with an optional GA), I much rather have this season's build.
And she still had great damage and was godlike at diving, literally no counterplay as the video says.
Loved reksai when she first came out. But dropped her for sett, then pyke. Might have to have a go with her again now tho
I actually also played Reksai top for a while, and mostly won the lane. Due to being too squishy I wasnt able to cobtribute to tf later and usually lost while being ahead :(
I have come into a conclusion: The only thing that can beat top Junglers, are top Junglers.
Not sure if he counts as a Top laner but I’ve been hearing about Warwick top more and more. That should also be a counter for Rek’Sai.

Eh, current reksai is nothing compared to the old one with global ult. I miss my girl :(
The old reksai is basically unplayble in Solo queue though, that global ult requires team communication
@@wasterzumbody8141 not really. It required strategic positioning of E, and nowadays e tunnels serve barely any purpose strategy wise. Could be just dash, not a lot of mobility would be lost.

One of the main reasons Old reksai ult was reworked is because of its power and fact, how it was abused in competitive. And I'm not even speaking about championship series games.

But sometimes automatic w activate is better specially vs yasuo. Sometimes you just cant react to w so auto knock up is better to mess with him. I lost count on how many times yas tried to dash through me just to get knocked up

Ult to finish is amateur tier. Finishing them with q snipe tilts them a lot. Specially they think they survived my ult >:3 it gives them so much hope to survive just to be sniped second later. It feels like im destroying their hopes and dreams XD

@@jirapatthaenphromrat2910 worse match ups would prob be panth and fiora, if u time your q wrong the fiora e will block all the damage from ur q, and panth passive blocks a portion of ur auto from the q and he has better Harass in lane
This also works mid with ultimate hunter and a more lethality based build
I tried this strat and first timed Rek'sai at my low Gold elo account to try out "3 games 2 wins and my loss was versus Jax as video says your counter". And this is literally broken. As the video says "idk about Irelia or Renekton" but you are too weak against Jax. Except that, this build has so high duelling power and abusing top lane lead. Also tunnels make you escape ganks way too easily if they dont break them before.
Jax just fks rek. His helicopter is literally counter to rek's main kit
