My man Elvis beautiful inside and out
Elvis's music is like food- food for the soul. Very good.
Great song love it 🙏👍🏻
Lol.."Im in love"...welcome to the club. Elvis's voice will do that to ya.💞💞💞💞
Many stars have come and gone, but Elv1s👑is the whole universe and the big bang💥
When Elvis sings it’s pure spirit. I’m 59 and at 8 my parents actually took me with to Albuquerque 1970 Tingley arena Elvis y’all!! My mom was so excited as all the other women shaking their hair around and screaming when he would do his moves. One of the
Most high energy events in my lifetime. Thanks for keeping his legacy alive ❤️ felt !!!
The King!
This is the best version of this song no one can sing it like Elvis his voice is like velvet the original song is bye Simon and Garfunkel Paul Simon wrote the song and he went to see this concert and Paul Simon said how the heck I’m I supposed to compete with with that my answer was you can’t sorry Paul but no one can sing this song like that it’s perfection Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👸🏻👏👏👏💕👍🥰👋
Anytime elvis sang any song it just became his. He never sang a so g that he did not believe in. You will think that a so g is your favorite...until you hear the next one. Whether he makes you want to dance or he makes you feel deep emotion..you can not listen to a so g by EP and not feel something. Fantastic reaction.
Hi, hey play American Trilogy and You gave me a mountain, both from Aloha from Hawaii 1973
Simon and Garfunkel who that's what I thought the king Elvis Aaron Presley every song he sings from everybody else makes his own
So many people never heard or seen Elvis sing cause the crap lies on him he was the goat! He did more for African Americans then anyone in this time. He was a great man!
Please do reaction to ‘68 comeback special “If I Can Dream” , “Trying To Get To You” and “One Night With You” just to mention a few. If I Could Dream will blow you away with his passion, it was a song he had someone write for him in Dedication to Martin Luther King.
I prefer the version of it it’s so amazing 😘😘
Simon & Garfunkel was the original singers of this song love 😘😘
Listen to my way or you give me a mountain
Whether you prefer this stunning Elvis version, Aretha Franklin's magical rendition, or Art Garfunkel's pristine original, never forget it all starts with the genius of Paul Simon, who sits on the Mount Rushmore of greatest songwriters.
Great reaction, thank you. Yeah this performance always blows me away for sure. If you like this, you might well like, How Great Thou Art. The traditional religious hymns but there are a couple performances, the early one is in a blue suit I think and not many years later and it is painful for me to watch because right before his death oh, but he does want in the white suit and she is just killing it operatically. It's like even as his health started to go downhill his voice just got more and more commanding. It will definitely bring tears to your eyes.
reading what you are writing is making me emotional. I love Elvis Presley so much that I can’t get enough of his song . I will definitely check it out thanks
A kid from tupelo Mississippi grew up to be this.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Simon and Garfunkel taken TO SCHOOL here. Legends in their own right... they loved Elvis' take. Paul Simon has been quoted as being in total disbelief how good this sounded in person to him. Elvis was always with his backup band. They could harmonize with Elvis every bit as good as Simon & Garfunkel could, and he believed so strongly in his backup singers that when the Texas AstroDome owners told Elvis to "leave the black girls home" Elvis was quoted by Myrna (one of the Inspirations) as replying to them "Then I won't be there." Elvis immediately won that debate and CHANGED LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE FOREVER for many people of color around the United States and world.
I agree they were both taken to school by Elvis
he's not crying
"Paul Simon has also noted that Elvis Presley's rendition was a “touch on the dramatic side.” “But so was the song,” he added. “When I first heard Elvis perform 'Bridge Over Troubled Water,' it was unbelievable. I thought to myself, 'How the hell can I compete with that?' ”
Yes, but no.
Art Garfunkel became very jealous after his best friend and band mate Paul Simon said, 'Artie, I just saw Elvis, doing our song Bridge etc, He did it better than us and he is a better singer than you, Art!'
Simon and Garfunkel didn't perform again together until New York, Central Park in 1981.....The song Bridge over Troubled Water was recorded in 1970 by both Simon and Garfunkel and Mr Presley.
@@chrisdonnelly3577 Men vem som helst får väl sjunga den. Om man tycker bäst om Elvis eller Art är en annan sak. Sedan får väl Paul Simon tycka sitt.
Elvis is the king the goat the greatest of all time you should try listening to if I If I Can Dream from the 68 Comeback Special the finale the white suit version in the ghetto if you want to speed it up a little bit Drive Polk Salad Annie there's never been another Elvis Presley and never will be I've been a fan since I was 11 years old and well and now 76 or you can do the math Elvis has been gone now 44 years he died the early age of 42 he only had about a 21-year career that he accomplished 31 movies 68 Comeback Special Aloha from Hawaii special we have plenty of TV from the 19 early 50s like the Milton Berle show The Ed Sullivan Show excetera too bad he didn't listen live to the age that we live in now where we can have all these CDs on him and everything I think of just made it another 20 years we could have had a lot more female moaning stop the movies help and he has a catalog for me where's a safe and 600-800 songs I'm not quite sure AKA Elvis junkie we need more Elvis on your Channel
Elvis' version is great but there are different styles that's all. Simon and Garfunkel still deserve some credit. great generation.
That’s our Elvis every song he sings as if he was singing to you. Keep exploring this is only the beginning. Happy discovery Make The World Go Away 1970 Las Vegas give that a listen Elvis will make u cry.
I absolutely love this song, this Elvis version is GOAT! He had a distinct sound, passion, charisma and presence. This is beyond talented, it is God gifted!
This is a perfect example of why Elvis is/was Elvis! So much passion, such a powerful, perfect voice. Simon and Garfunkel did a great version, but it was unquestionably their best song. Elvis could sing any power ballad and be arguable better than the original upon whose career that song depended (You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me, Blue I Just Can't Help Believing, Unchained Melody, etc.)
Not only was this man gorgeous he puts so much passion and emotion and that voice like no other he just puts me under his spell
ELVIS NEVER CRIED EVER ON STAGE ..... NEVER EVER ..... AND NO NOT EVEN ..... THE ..... IF I CAN DREAM SONG ..... SOMEONE JUST PUT UP A POST SAYING SO ..... AND PEOPLE RAN WITH IT .... REPOSTING IT AS THEY JUST TOOK IT FOR GRANUT THAT IT WAS TRUE ..... BUT IT'S NOT TRUE ..... IT IS SWEAT PEOPLE ..... SWEAT RUNNING DOWN HIS FACE ..... AS ELVIS SAID MANY TIMES ..... " MAN THESE LIGHTS ARE HOT I'M TELLING YOU " ...... STOP THE CRYING CRAP ..... HE WAS THE MASTER OF HIS TRADE ..... WAKE-UP .....
More people need to listen to him they will be shook how great he was!
Elvis is amazing! He can makes you feel that he is singing that song to you!
That BARITONE. Angelic. Legendary. That VOICE will always work its way into the FEELS of the generations to follow us. It will never end as long as their is MUSIC performed.
Listen to him sing If I Can Dream…. Elvis puts all he has into singing it.
This man was the ultimate professional entertainer of all time
We demand more Elvisreactions!
Elvis literally stole his style from a black man in never wrote one song. It's video proof.
Elvis had such a great range he could be an opera singer...deep...right up to falcetto (high...or near as!!)...ANY GENRE, he could sing a menu & feel something lol 😍 Thankyou
Great reation Thanks more Elvis gospel song How great thou art elvis in concert 1977
To watch the king is so amazing and really he is the goat of music period he should have got it together and in shape we would have had Elvis atleast ten twenty years more can u imagine what we woulda had!!!
Love your reaction. He sings with so much emotion!!
Beautiful reaction to the most talented and versatile singer and entertainer ever! Elvis was the bridge over troubled water to family, friends and strangers in need. He grew up in extreme poverty and gave away much of his fortune when he became a superstar. Elvis had no formal musical training and couldn't even read music. He even taught himself to play several instruments by ear. There was no autotune or lypsynching back then. He was just pure, raw talent and passion. He sang lots of different types of music and recorded over 700 songs.
Elvis was the total package; the (incredible) voice, the style, the stage mannerism, the clothes, the look, the different material he mastered, the humillity, the way he felt and could conway the feeling of a song to us. Elvis is the ecco that will never die. Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Poul McCartney, David Bowie, Britney Spears, Elton John, Billy Idol, Freddy Mercery, Robert Plant (led Zeppelin), Bruno Mars and MANY other singers, saw Elvis as THEIR idol !!
The King! Why we miss and love him so.
Gives me goosebumps
@Loveth Reactions- It looks like he was crying singing this great song but it was just him sweating. Simon and Garfunkel wrote and sang this song. So this was one of Elvis many cover songs but nobody performed it better than him. Actually the only song Elvis ever wrote was Love me tender. Elvis is the greatest entertainer/singer ever. I encourage you to react to him singing You gave me a mountain, My way, Don't cry daddy.
I hope watching Elvis perform this song will lead you to doing more Elvis reactions. I guarantee it will enrich your life and, as you say so eloquently, fill you up. I recommend (1) Trying To Get To You ('68 Comeback Special); (2) Elvis Presley - Just Pretend 1970 Live; (3) Elvis - Make The World Go Away (1970); (4) Elvis Presley - Can't Help Falling in Love 1961 (High Quality).
Paul Simon , genius !!! Elvis great !!!!
Elvis took it to another level!
No point comparing different artist different version they are both great just different
@@waynevillette4673 Paul CREATE this !!!
Tror Elvis hade gillat denna. :)
Love your show, love it. Have you seen the doc "Elvis and the Black community" ? If not, you MUST do a reaction video to that presentation. :)
I love that you loved him, but I hate that you missed half of the experience since you had your eyes closed most of the time. This is a video... a VIDEO.
Great reaction, loveth to this marvelous performance by The King of a superb classic written by Paul Simon. If you wish you could look for Simon and Garfunkel singing this song at the concert in Central Park, as it is an epic live event! I always enjoy spending time on your channel so please keep the great reactions coming!
Great reaction. Thank you. "Having witnessed Elvis performing one of his songs, Paul Simon is said to have noted: “That’s it, we might as well all give up now.”
"This is simply one of the most moving and amazing performances of all time. Even though he didn’t write the song. There are no words for the amount of talent and emotion he put into this."
No offense to S&G, but they’re not on the same level as The King. Not even close. The impersonator point makes no sense. The studio version on TTWII is an even better version of this song. I can’t think of more than 2 songs that Elvis did, that were done better by the original performer. 1. Hey Jude. 2. Yesterday. On a side note, his version of Proud Mary is better than the original, but not better than Ike a Tina’s version.
@@martinm1231 hahahaha. Ok guy!!! Racism, racism!!! Keep living in that fantasy. He did what they couldn’t. Which is why he was better. Not the color of his skin. Race baiting trash!
@@martinm1231 sorry. But your wishful thinking based on nothing that can be verified doesn’t mean shit. I’ve heard music from the time period. And howling wolf, Arthur crudup, the prisonaires and others were very good artists. But not in the same realm as Elvis.
Elvis literally stole his style from a black man in never wrote one song. It's video proof.
@@drblakeslovick4607 what he did, was kick the door in and allow Americans that didn’t know this style, to hear music that had R&B, country and gospel influences. If not for him, black artists would not be heard and for that they should be ever grateful. Facts!! Also, the music he “stole” was not even popular with blacks at the time, and his versions put a twist on the originals that made them far superior. Hound dog, heartbreak hotel, that’s alright little momma and blue moon of Kentucky sung by the original artists are garbage until he re-arranged the music, sang with a different sound and added other instruments. The woke thing to do is hate and blame racism for why a certain race isn’t better than another race at something, but in this case it’s just hating and blatant racism in itself. He gave opportunity to people that would not have had one otherwise, introduced original artists to his fan base to encourage them to hear his influencers and gave credit where credit was due. Sorry if your snowflake or racist feelings are hurt because the king of rock and roll happens to be a white man, but as much as you would like the critical race theory to re-write history……it’s not working. Especially with someone that is sealed in amber as the best to ever do it. And there is no argument that can be made to change that fact.
Elvis is not the original singer of Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon and Garfunkel are the original artists); however, Elvis took everyone else songs and made them BETTER...That's why he's crowned 👑 the King of Music; Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Country and Gospel 👍💯👏
Elvis literally stole his style from a black man in never wrote one song. It's video proof.
@@drblakeslovick4607 Who the heck is the "black man" 🤔60 plus years later the world is still going crazy about Elvis...More like The King exposed music in the fashion that Blacks could now enjoy success; don't be racist bro 😢
Your forehead don't cry
Beautiful version of Paul Simon’s masterpiece. One of the greatest songs ever, first performed by Simon and Garfunkel. Nice reaction Loveth. Elvis’ version is a cover of the original.
wow ! I get it now , thanks for the information I was totally wrong and surprised because i thought he was, but I don’t believe there is anyone that can pull this song off the way Elvis Presley did, still am gonna check the Original by Paul simon’s
@@lovethreactions yes you must listen to the original by Simon and Garfunkel. Art Garfunkel sings most of it. You’ll love it!! 😊🌹🌹
You wonder why he died in 1977AT 42
Just listen lady. When you talk you interfere with the listeners
