PLEASE keep sharing this information! None of this is well known and it's over a year wait for the Menopause Clinic at Mount Sinai.

Peri menopause is causing my anxiety to go through the roof!

Dr. Shea has been my menopause specialist for the past 2 years. Had to wait 1 year for an appointment. Never has she spoken so much to me (as she has here), but it's nice to see her on TV without a mask. I have only met her in person 1 time; on the other visits, I was seen by her team. As she is also an OB-GYN, I felt pushed to the side as the pregnant patients were a priority. Nurses asked if a pregnant patient could take my place in line???!!! This train of thought must change as ALL women (not just pregnant ones) are equally important. Society and doctors should not treat women over 45 as invisible.

I told my close coworkers & friends & family-that im in the middle of menopause & if I say to you-"for your safety, please leave me alone today" or if i do loose my patience with you, the question i ask myself-would i have reacted like that before? if not, i make a point to apologize & say its not you its me, you did not deserve that.

For me what helped when I went into menopause in my 40's, now 57.5 is healing my gut to heal my mind and hormones by eating mostly veggies and fruits and the trick is to get a wide variety of veggies I aim for 30 different kinds a week. In the summer in the heat I have those tiny fans that plug into your laptop because it is so hot sitting while working and I also wrap my neck with a cooling sports wrap. For sleep I would put an ice pack on my stomach and head, the two hottest spots and we wake up because we are hot so keeping ice packs near by helped me a lot with my quality of sleep. Thank you for sharing such great information.

Well being on a vegetarian diet helps for not having hot flashes and eating food high in plant estrogen like soya milk, tofu etc. Lorna Vanderhage has a lot of natural medication that helps with all woman related problems.

I was hoping the ladies would have discussed their symptoms and what’s working for them.
