This young woman is awesome! She is making strides to level the playing field. I admire her focus and drive to work for JUSTICE FOR ALLLL. She knows her purpose and is pursuing it with fervor. Lord cover and protect her.
I feel like women who are purpose driven and have a laser focus on what they want out of life and their assignment get a bad rep and are judged for being "too ambitious" or they don't "have time for love." I don't think that's the case all the time. These type of ambitious women just need someone who is equally passionate about similar things and they are both heading in the same direction. The type of man for her won't think that she's "too busy" or doesn't have time, because they will both be working together to fulfill purpose.

This young lady looks like a 16 year old, Praise Jesus. I have so much admiration while listening to her speak on her testimony. 🙌 It's so awesome how 🤔 genuinely & generously all the while as she was experiencing her scholastic journeys simultaneously she was adamant & intentional in her walk to always give back and poured her loving time, wisdom, & heart into outreaching wholeheartedly towards building up others. She definitely is a Blessing as well as her Mother. She's very focused, diligent, sincere, and she exudes excellence in character.
Thank you for introducing me to Ms. Judge Amber Givens! Her experience in Selma, Alabama in 2000 really hit home for me. Voting for judges is vital because these are the same people who can potentially be appointed to the Supreme Court. May God continues to bless and cover her!

I use to work in the prison system as a administrative assistant and we rotated working visitation. To see the kids that come in and know all too well the routine of taking their shoes off and go through security and bringing in their coins in a ziplock bag is so heartbreaking. Because in their mind and live…..this is normal. It gave me more empathy for them and the person incarcerated.
I know. When I taught high school there were metal detectors at the student entrance. It definitely sent a message to them!
I would never have thought this young lady is a judge - she's so down to earth. I hope she's vindicated soon! Keep doing the great work, judge Amber, you're impacting a lot of families and making history 🙏🏾❤️

Where do I begin? Just what I needed to be enlightened and inspired. Judge Givens is the epitome of 🗣 Black Girl Magic and Black Excellence. I’m a teacher that is tired. This year has been a year like no other. I want to quit every other day. I teach in the most undeserved community in Brooklyn. My concern and many other teachers that I work with is that our students where we teach will not be prepared for life, particularly knowing how to read because they are so far behind according to the standards. We are doing all that we can to help out students. We really are. However, if you know the educational system, you know how limited our freedom to teach the way we should can be. My prayer is that my students beat the odds, prove society wrong, go above and beyond what many might expect of them with the help of Lord. Judge Givens has given me a push through this episode. She is absolutely purpose driven. Praying for her. Even if I don’t stay in the classroom, I will continue to serve my community in some way shape or form.

Laterras you might not be a politician or have the heart for it, but you're an activist and the world can never have enough of those. I often argue that the world doesn't need more politicians, it needs more activists. People that actually have a heart for people amd serve them as those they were they're own flesh.

Your brothers situation is so similar to mine with my sister. Praying God sets him free and totally restored him. He is able. I love your compassion for the homeless and your why. Ruth also struggled with drugs from a young age and ended up brutally being murdered. I talk about her and she is a big part of my why as well. My non-for- profit is called Ruth’s vineyard. It will be a place where young single moms will be diverted from abortion. This will also provide many other supports. Ruth struggled with a lack of support. I believe proper support would have helped her end to be different. It is through these support systems that I am hoping to help other young single moms to overcome. I pray that through Ruth's Vineyard, my sister will find a place of honor on this side of heaven, through every woman that receives what she needed the most. Support.

Judge Amber Givens have such an impressive resume but what stood out to me is giving honor and glory to God. When you are doing Gods' work, he will protect you and provide the provision. I love women with substance and unapologetically themselves. Such a beautiful woman inside and out. Laterras keep up the good work.
My mind is still trying to digest everything Judge Givens has explained about her driven love purpose. She is deeply rooted to her ministry. Other people's achievements inspire others. Great conversation, have learnt 1 or 2 things from her. Great interviewer n listener. May the Lord go before her and Victory is her portion in Jesus might name Amen and Amen. Just finished watching.
I enjoyed being introduced to/ listening to Judge Givens. She has a great story, and bless her mother for mortgaging her house for her law school education. Laterras, I'm sorry about your brother. I can relate. Keep tending to "the least of these" and praying for your brother. God is a deliverer. We have a few things in common!
Do you mind interviewing someone who has overcome a multi-year drug addiction? Rev 12:11. That episode will be SO POWERFUL. I plan to do the same (interview an addiction overcomer), but it might be a few months.

WOW!!! Thank you so much for this!! I can so relate with my 23 year old son was sentenced to 40 years for 2nd degree murder at the age of 22!! He was arrested at the age of 19! First time ever going to prison! No juvenile record and no violent charges or convictions!!

Not at all. It's a play on words due to the subject matter of the episode.
It truly does give way to finding purpose in pain because after growing up I too was able to go back and go into the prison into the jails and do ministry to share the gospel to actually see it from another angle then before which was still painful but to be able to serve God by serving those that were closed off from society it's such a blessing.
I so enjoy this discussion and am inspire by her desire to serve God by serving others. I'll be praying that God continue to use and bless her.
