Miles ragging on foamers despite very clearly harbouring foamer tendencies is the funniest thing
The denial of being a foamer is, by definition, characteristic of being a foamer.
Don't say Ragging
say harping
I went to grad school in Boston, the sound of that broken, wavy chime is stuck in my brain forever. Seriously, I hear it in my sleep. These cars had a good run, but they were well, well overdue for retirement. Glad to see the MBTA finally moved on from them.
Yep, MBTA has ran those cars into the ground much later than their shelf life. The red line has even older cars. The warbling chime sounds grating to me.
The sheer foamer joy at 4:09 was so incredible, I legitimately spat out my water and proceeded to watch it another three times
Greatest moment of my life
It was absolutely amazing to be there! I’ve ridden the Orange Line since the 90s, and those messed up chimes are cherished sounds in my heart. To get to hear one, one last time, surrounded by friends who also valued the chime, was so special!
I didn’t care for dilapidated trains and creepy sounding tones.
Rest in pepperoni, 1200 series.
I wonder how many "actual people" there were on those last* trains and what they thought of everyone's foamer shenanigans.
I was on them with the wife, what a crazy night it was
this is peak unhinged foaming
I guess the meter was already broken, because when I heard Jeremy ask for a photo in front of the Hawker at the end, foam started to pour out of my USB ports.
I love this chaos energy. I'm glad you guys got to experience this before they're goners.
S tier foam sh!tposting
Oh my!! What a moment having the opportunity to ride the orange line subway cars for one more time. I enjoyed the enthusiasm:)
There is another city that still runs their old subway cars for another few years. I greatly enjoyed the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (or the mighty BART Simpson train) for short.
And yes, watching now your BART video
"Hello BART"
So as of February 2024 there are still 48 Cars left in property. 01214/01215 Got Scrapped in February 2023. So it's only 48 Cars Left. So the T won't be Scrapping these 48. Multiple of these have been turrned on at Wellington Carhouse. So these got converted to Stactic Training Equipment. So the T hired new motorman for the Orange Line to drive the trains. So basically they will be tested on the 01200's. A couple weeks ago 01264/01265 01278/01279 Ran South of Wellington Yard, next to the Main Line. These can be seen on the Orange Line test track during sometime of the day. So be on a lookout. 106 CRRCS have been Delivered. 1400/1401 still Damged and Wrecked inside Wellington Shops. 1502/1503 still in Testing. So 102 are currently active 1402/1403 to 1500/1501 1504/1505. Keep in note that the T is actually recieving more CRRC 1900s from Springfield. 1914/1915 Delivered last week and currently in testing. The T planned to recieve 60 more by July 2024. Which will fully retire the Pullman Standard 01500's & 01600's which are currently 54 Years Old in Service. The T is apparently Overhauling the Bombardier 01800s for a 2 Year Service Extension. For the UTDC 01700s probably retiring in 2025.
If i was commuting home and your group got on the train i would be so exicted yall have so much energy!
''you should take the 112 because its funnier.''
Jordan: HELL NO👌 [best line in the entire video].
The amount of adhd in this video is amazing 😂
"Old" cars? Who's old? I thought these were the new cars. I remember the old 1957 cars, which were "born" a few years after I was. When I moved to Boston in 1975, there were still some 1924 cars running on the blue line. Now that's old.
Train: 4:10
Foamers: *YAYAYAYAYAYAY*
Ordinary passengers: 👁👄👁
Ponce de León: The directions to the Foutain of Youth is easy!; The directions: 6:18
I'm betting $50 that this video is gonna be popular if both Kim Jong Un and Avery the Cuban-American are both here.
When the 1200/1300s retired i teared up all my life these always where a part of Boston you Saw those you knew your where in Boston i hate the 1400s they work horrible and they look like a children's hospital rip hawker suddenly 1200s you will be missed
The T has unfortunately rewarded Costello Dismantling to began rescrapping the Hawker Siddeley 01200s and 01300s again. On 48 cars lead by 01294 moving all the units to the edge of Wellington, and next to them are Haulers. 01292/01293 got removed this monday
I was just at Wellington a couple days ago, I'm glad I got to see them one last time
@@MilesinTransit 01312/01313 also just got removed. They are keeping two sets for snow plowing. 2 are being preserved. Also 3 will be kept for training new motermen
@@nafisali2434I'm glad some are getting preserved. The white/line color combo is classic
There’s gotta be a official last day, like the trolley buses surely right?. I can’t really go to these things, since I have no way to get home, curse you BAT for ending at 9pm! I would get a hotel, for the last ride just so that I can actually go to the final ride.
We can only hope!
I never knew about these but sad to see them go
i enjoyed the screwed up orange line chimes.
struggling at ruggling
*ding DOOWOO*
4:10 I laughed way to hard at that.
For those who are wondering the 1200s were the last train to run on The Boston Elevated sad to see the 1200s go away
rip these cars, they were my childhood!
I’ve been a black foamer all my life, and I can definitely say, this is that WPS. 😂
I wonder when you are coming to NYC Jordan... you will meet the King of NYCT
Her: He's probably out cheating
Me and the boys: 1:30
Legend has it that Jordan still owes Miles fifty dollars. Hope Spirit Halloween enjoyed the Orange Line during the time it was closed.
Me and the boys: 4:09
6:45 - The 112 Bus climbs up a hill to visit 1 stop... And comes down the hill on the same path before continuing. (Its like a minor detour) 😂
I remember when the Hawkers were introduced. I might or might not be in better shape than they are, but at least I’ve never caught fire.
I feel very, very old.
Gawddamn the cloth fabric~!
I was gonna give a shout out to your Market Basket Rt 112 bus ride when you totally dropped the "r" saying weird. And for MB 👌
Long live the hawkers luckily I have a video from July
i was on the last northbound train
it was a crrc :(
Looks like the old Path Trains
If they weren't able to get 72 cars in service then they would have been a chance that you may see one.
Respect the hawkers miles
Were these the same cars on path PA2-3
RIP Hawkers. I'll never forget them.
And the foaming was.... foamy. Here's to more excessive family-friendly foaming in the future
“Everyone thinks we are insane” Jeremy 2022
Also please tell me the scrappers are gonna cut some pieces off for memorabilia sales lol
Good riddance!!!Disgraceful that the MBTA kept these cars in service well past their prime, including one that literally caught on fire stranding passengers on a bridge over the Mystic River. As bad as these were there are clunkers running on the Red Line from when that line was extended to Quincy Center in the early 1970's. They are just now being phased out, but certainly not soon enough!
Can y’all be my friend I like trains lol 😅
"This better all be fixed"
lolololol
How long was Jeremy up here for?
Amazing video miles in transit and out with the old in with the new trains. oh my public transit has changed though out the years in America many old trains and buses were replaced with something 21st century
I was at wellington all night
I will remember that janky door chime forever...4:09
Oh no dont tell me i missed it
They might come back! I think they're still in the "contingency fleet."
It would be insulting if they didn't do a last sendoff run of the Hawkers before they're all retired for good.
4:05-4:21 this is funny af lol
And they still aren't running at full speed
I think the line is FINALLY faster than it was pre-shutdown, but yeah, there are still slow zones...
@@MilesinTransit take it daily it's 18 minutes slower end to end, now poftak is out as head honcho and even the green line has specific break spots to lengthen their ride times
I am so FUCKIng MAD. I had Fing school and EXTRACURRICULARs. I am SO mad I didnt GEt to EXPERIENCE MY cHILDHOOD FOr THE LAST TIME!!!! I would have to wait until they take them to kennebunkport, maine.
AaaaAAAAaaaaaAaAaaaAAahhHhH
I'm gonna miss the white on the cars, as shitty as they looked close up from a far that contrast between the line color and white is nice.
4:09… that’s what I called first class dumpster fire editing… gave me a great laugh!
Your foamer meter didn't actually max out because you weren't ripping shit off the train like those foamers did during the R32 retirement in NYC.
Destruction of property meter
As of May 2023 Remaining Cars
1214 1215 1260 1261 1264 1265 1272 1273 1276 1277 1278 1279 1280 1281 1282 1283 1284 1285 1286 1287 1288 1289 1290 1291 1292 1293 1294 1295 1296 1297 1298 1299 1300 1301 1302 1303 1304 1305 1306 1307 1308 1309 1310 1311 1312 1314 1315 1318 1319
(50) Soon To be Scrapped by 2024
First the trolleys now the Hawkers it's a shame how this year 2 iconic mbta veachiles are heading for the scrap heap I will miss the Hawkers mostly for their iconic rumbling sounds, broken pa systems, and iconic paint. I will always remember the Hawkers hopefully at least one of them gets preserved somewhere. Rip to the Hawkers I will remember train 1221 as the last Hawker Sidley orange line train I ever filmed. #rip
Am I crazy or did everybody underreact to the hron at 1:53?
Also, we NEED a Shorts clip of the foamer joy at 4:09
These cars are in worse shape then most I’ve seen built around/before there time they were built (Ex. R32, B-IV) no hate to the cars or ppl who like them
Isn’t it hypocritical to call others foamers when you’re doing it yourself?
The foamer meter applies to me too!
You have now given me a new location to foam at (Ruggles)
