- Palmetto State Armory Dagger compact SW2 9mm and Swampfox Kingslayer red dot optic review compared to glock 19 and other guns in the same class. SW2 is just the designation for the slide cut. They also have the SW1 with wider holes in the slide.

I think the reason most people say its a Glock "clone" Is because everything on the gun is pretty much interchangeable with a Gen 3 Glock. As far as I can remember you can take a dagger slide and run it on a Glock lower and Vice Versa. Any part you can buy for a Gen 3 Glock from the internals to a slide or slide parts, triggers, barrels can all be used on the Dagger. As far as the mag release being stiff I think that's a design flaw cause I put a factory mag release spring in my dagger and its still hard to push.
Ya, i just think its a grave disservice to call this a clone but I get that the term clone is slang for it uses the same internals now haha. The mag release button is oddly hard to press.. im going to try to mess with the spring

Good stuff! I’m really enjoying my Dagger. Its been really smooth.
So this PSA dagger is so “not “ like a Glock that PSA had to wait until the patent on the Glock 19 had expired before they could build and sell them.
The PSA Dagger is soooo NOT like a Glock that the slide, internal parts and Magazines can be swapped with a Glock 19, without modification.
IT IS A GLOCK CLONE!
how is that swampfox kingslayer, still holding up? i bought a cyeele wolf0 but for what ever reason one of the windage screws is stuck and i cant adjust it at all almost broke the screw.
My PSA dagger optic ready slide works great on my Glock 19 frame. I would say it is a Glock 19 clone. Also use it for EDC, I did buy the swampfox Kingslayer for my PSA.
I have been wanting one.
cant go wrong adding it to the collection!
@@maximusjoseppi5904 yeah plus.....IT TAKES GLOCK MAGS!
@@UncleDanBand64 touche! haha
eagerly awaiting my new Dagger.
I just got the sw3 slide with the optic behind the rear sights can't wait to get it

Finally! Keep this content coming.
I never was a Glock fan, didn't like the square blocky look and feel. I thought they were way overpriced, ugly, had a bad grip angle etc. However I bought one of these PSA's recently, the grip is fantastic . Much like a M&P. I bought it to try out and practice, red dots on a pistol. I found a Holosun 407c for $219 and bought a fully loaded Dagger except for the slide lightening holes, Its a threaded barrel, RMR cut slide, and full FDE slide and frame for $359.00! So now I have a compact poly gun for summertime carry, thats 23oz and with a red dot. If I like shooting with red dot better, I can get my 1911 slides milled. PSA had some hiccups when they started a year or so ago with a whole new grip/frame and slide setup, but they seem to have gotten the issues fixed. This also shows that Glocks always were insanely overpriced! PSA is manufacturing these in 2022 in the US, with US labor costs, in the middle of a national materials shortage, and retailing them with far more options than Glock ever has! All this for $299.00 to 379.00! That is what pushed me to buy the PSA Dagger over the Taurus G3 Toro (optic cut) $433.00 msrp/ $300.00 street or the G3 Tactical (threaded barrel ,suppresser sights and optic cut) $589.00 msrp $419.00 street. (Brazil manufactured and higher priced! ) PSA is supporting US manufacturing (which isn't cheap) and spanking Glock and even Brazils Taurus at the same time! Its a win, win for the US shooting community, (which is basically PSA's pro 2nd amendment motto!) PSA wants to put more guns in the hands of US citizens, than ever possible before. This allows the elderly on fixed income, the single working mom, etc a reliable, self protection 9mm pistol at a very reasonable price. Lifetime warranty too!
I agree with you and that’s why I’m buying a PSA Dagger today.
As for Taurus, I will Never give that company any of my money Ever again, they are Junk!!
does that swap fox co witness with those psa factory 1/3 cowitness sights? they look like they are barely coming into view through the red dot. thanks
Picking up one tomorrow and going with a Swampfox Justice Green Dot. 3 moa is a great size and green pops out against backgrounds in my opinion. Both have lifetime warranties. Come on man.... Great video.
Can anybody tell me the the thread size and or maybe where to find screws for this optic ready slide? The screws that came with my vortex were way too big
Is it a doctor cut optic
17:40 ...oh HELL YEAH !!! More companies should do this !!!
Must get one...2, or more...
yes, its very cool that you can build your own. sig should do this kind of thing as well.. would be easy for them.
it share a lot of similarities to a Glock 19 gen 3, it even fits Glock mags and any Glock 19 gen 3 slide
theres zero similarities actually... and there are rifles that take glock mags.
@@maximusjoseppi5904 there are lots of similarities though. It's literally a glock 19 gen3 clone 😂.
@@sexytopramen what similarities besides internal parts? ill wait.
I have the same setup more or less.
Mines:
black sw2 slide rmr cut sight behind optic, Fde frame with blacked textured grips,
Black threaded barrel
Kingslayer optic (dot only reticle)
I also added a tritium front sight and a magwell.
But its cool you got the opposite color scheme.
Also, yes the mag release is real still on mine too. Yours seems stiffer but mine when brand new was way more stiff than a mag release should be. Pretty easy to clip a coil off the spring though. Mine luckily eased up a couple hundred rounds in.
But itd be easy to clip or replace the spring.
Yours might be bound up its so tight.
FINALLY.....somebody else that doesn't see it as a Glock clone......internals aside, there are very few similarities
What the brand of the suppressor on your tx22?
CGS siren. Its kind of unique because they dont even have it on their website but if you are in the know, they will sell one to you.
You really think this is a tx22 clone? JFC thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Put your tx22 parts in your dagger
If the ergos are the same as the TX22 I am in👍
ya, its gonna be awkward if taurus makes a full size gx4 because thats this gun haha.. except it will have a better trigger so that will still be cool.
@@maximusjoseppi5904 Ur right abt that. The TX22 has a great trigger out of the box. I bought one a couple years ago and fell in love. I saw another CZcamsr say the ergonomics of the Dagger were similar to the TX22. Thats what made me buy mine. Im very pleased with my purchase. I caught mine on sales too and bought it in parts. I got the ODG lower with a PSA stripped AR lower for $99 and the Dagger upper w/ lightening cuts, rmr cut and threaded barrel for $199. Both with free shipping. I was sold. I pistol with some amazing features for like $240-$250. Can't beat it.
Great shooting. I don’t know; once you shoot a metal hammer-fired gun, why on earth would you buy this plastic gun, even at the price point you mentioned. I have one plastic gun, a 365xl, Wilson combat grip module, Katana magwell, with Sig optic. But otherwise, I just love the feel of a hammer-fired Legion, CZ, Nighthawk 1911, or TRP 1911 and so on. Best Regards
There's something magical about a big metal gun with an epic trigger.. I have a few of those gems. But when it comes to leaving the house with something in my pocket or holster, hopping on the motorcycle, going for a hike, hitting the gym, or most other active every day tasks, its just really nice to have 24oz on your rather than 55oz. Plus, a lot of guys can't afford $1500-$6,000 guns and a $500 gun that can rock like this is worth acknowledging.
@@maximusjoseppi5904
I agree with what you wrote. I bought an albeit used Sig 320 compact for $450 (just found the receipt), though it has no red dot ( sold it 6 months later). I think my P365xl, which I carry every single day, was $649, though I added the WC grip. I’m pretty sure it’s under 30 ounces loaded, and I changed the springs so it has a 2.5 pound trigger. All my best.
@@marksd5650 ya thats a sweet little gun. i got pissed at sig for bad customer service so i knee jerk sold all my sig products haha... But i replaced my pocket carry p365 with a ruger LCP max which is outrageously small and light but packs a sincere punch with 13 rounds of underwood +p 68gr extreme defender.
im going to do a video on that soon.
I do too and have those all steel ones. However I also just bought one of these and a Holosun, to try out red dot pistol shooting. I really didn't want to mill my 1911 slides until I know for sure that I want to. I have 1 other poly gun just for summertime carry a M&P. So now I will have 2. My dagger has everything except the lightening holes on the slide. It does have the RMR cut, threaded barrel and 1/3 co witness suppressor sights and full FDE and it was 359. I found a Holosun 407C for 219. So for 578.00 I have a fully set up 3 MOA red dotted, 23 oz, 9mm, for summertime. If I end up liking the different sight picture, I can slowly mill some 1911s and add red dots. The biggest thing PSA did to the frame is the amazing grip, Its very much like the M&P grip. The slide milling for holstering is very nice also, for a inexpensive gun.
That's an all South Carolina gun basically.
Do the vents make it louder?
No they dont. If the barrel also had "vents" (aka ported) it would be louder.
Is the king slayer the only swamp fox that fits that slide?
Any of the Swampfox RMR sights will fit the RMR PSA Dagger slide.
@@David-bl6wm I have the doctor slide with the rear sight upfront I was told that wasn’t an rmr? I’m confused
@@nco6835 PSA sells daggers with either a "doctor" cut or an RMR cut. If you have a doctor cut I'd look into Vortex sights as I believe the kingslayer is an RMR footprint.
Taurus makes it in a 9mm, it’s a ts9 but not sold here.
I have been looking at the Dagger an inexpensive backup gun for my edc bag. Knowing it was a modified modernized version of a Glock Gen 3 gives me confidence in the design.
After you busted out that Taurus and claimed it was based off of that gun, I immediately thought WTH. Especially when you claim the Taurus is the best .22 pistol out there..?? There isn’t a single firearm that Taurus makes that I would ever buy or want!! Having owned 4 different POS Taurus firearms that all had to be sent back to Taurus multiple times, and still didn’t work right. I’ll Never buy anything from that company Ever again. That said I do see the similar external design cue’s, but that’s as close to a Taurus as it gets. Thank goodness!!
I’m moving forward on purchasing a Dagger anyway, because it’s a Glock clone. If I ever have any issues with it, I’ll think of this video and it’s design cues being like a Taurus.
Oh and in my opinion the best .22 pistols come from Ruger or are of the Ruger design, the 22/45 MK4.
the tx22 and gx4 line is pretty awesome for what it is. the tx22 is by far my fav 22 handgun ive ever encountered though. i actually sold all my rugers after i got it
I LOVE my TX22 and yes this looks a lot like it. but the Dagger slides, barrels, mags are all interchangeablewith the GLOCK GEN 3. NOT interchangeable with the TX22.
It’s the very definition of a gen 3 glock 19 clone lol
if you watch the video, i explain the concept of clone and how its improperly used. the "very definition" of the word clone means it has to be identical, which no "glock clone" is.
I also hate the mag release spring! Probably the worst part of the pistol. I would change it in a heartbeat if I knew where to get one somewhere else.
Combat armory had them for $1 on sale.
100% Glock g19 clone 100% parts compatibility
its a glock clone because it uses glocks expired patent.... its a glock clone because you can throw it onto a glock 19 frame and it works perfect.....
you sounded good until you sounded ignorant
The Swamp Fox looks like an optic focused on combat accuracy and quick acquisition.
It's hilarious how you are so adamant that this isn't a glock clone. The clones are supposed to be improvements upon the short commings of the Glock. That is why almost all frames are different. Rails are added, grip angles are changed, undercuts, palm swells, ect. The clones use glock oem and aftermarket parts because of the simplicity and reliability of the components and the are quite inexpensive to manufacturer. Just because you don't want it to be a Glock clone doesn't make it so. To think you said it was more of a Taurus clone...😅
i mean, the word clone is something that is identical. so once you start to change things, after a certain amount of changes, its no longer a clone and just based off the other object rather than a clone of it. this has literally no external similarities to a glock thus not a clone by definition of the word and simple logical analysis. its grip however, is a clone of a taurus tx22. so... ya.
except gen 3 glock slide and parts, many triggers, mags, sights, barrels, will work. Other than that it's not a glock clone.
its a Glock in almost every way but its not a Glock clone 😂
Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck. But dresses like a moron.
Glock clone.. the people have spoken lol
Full size or nah .
I was using full size mags from my maxim 9 the whole time so its not much different. Undoubtedly, they will come out with a true full size and probably a smaller one if I were a betting man though.
Glock clone all day
Dude I have no idea what you're talking about. The PSA Dagger isn't a clone of a Taurus TX22. Almost all parts are Glock interchangeable there are no parts inside or out that are even remotely interchangeable with the Taurus NONE! Why make such a ridicules statement, your creditability will be ZERO. I SAY DUMP THIS VIDEO AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING SOMEONE WILL AGREE WITH. Just a thought, HUH!
